As always great job on your video! However, I think in the next year RVers will see the best option for internet being provided by Starlink. Sounds like their speeds are going to knock it out of the park. However at the moment, it looks like you got the best option working for you. BTW.. Jealous of your boon docking location, hopefully one of these days we can get our rig out there. Thanks for your fantastic video.

I am really surprised the RVers are now just discovering the Pepwave routers. I purchased my Pepwave MAX BR1 router over five years ago. I also use a Wilson LTE data amp, not a cell phone amp, along with a Surecall rooftop antenna. I was also able to purchase a 'grandfathered' AT&T LTE data plan for $35 a month with unlimited data. Sorry but AT&T no longer sells these plans. We have never been throttled on this plan. We typically use between 200GB to 400GB a month and we're retired. Our Pepwave MAX BR1 router does not have the capabilities of your Pepwave router. But we still get between 10GB to 20+GB download speeds. Good enough to stream HD Videos.
We do not use a cell phone amp. When cell reception is poor, our phones automatically switch over to our WiFi to make or receive calls. With using our LTE data amp with our WiFi there is no need to purchase a cell phone amp. It's been years since we have used a campground WiFi because our WiFi is usually much faster and offers better security. Campgrounds without WiFi are no longer an issue.

Perfect Tom, let a pro do it! Makes perfect sense to me too. Our Rigs cost to much to risk accidental damage to them because we're trying to save and good intentions. I hope you really see the big benefits closer to urban areas but for being in the middle of nowhere that's really great. Good video.

we need an internet booster antenna cuz verizon has not give us a signal where we live in South East Tenn in 4 years.
There’s No data at all until we go all the way to town. We had better service in the 80’s! We need it for the phone because there’s no landlines.

How close to the inside antenna do you have to be? I know the WeBoost system you have to be within a foot of the inside antenna however it looks like your new system is different.
Hi Keith! We have great coverage through the entire RV with our set up.
I just purchased a we boost. Did I make a mistake? I have no idea how the pep compares to we boost. I do not full time but when we camp I do need to be able to work. So I ordered it for when my service is shotty at best and I can use my hotspot on my phone to boost the signal. I think anyway. What’s you take on the weboost? Does it work well ??
I've been following you for 2 years now. Grant it while I have learned a lot from you, lately you have been purchasing items with costs way out of our league. We are very conservative as most people are who sold everything to full time. Just be saying maybe you should spend your 10's of thousands on a new build house in Arizona?

Why would someone pay $1350 up front when Starlinks hardware upfront cost is a fraction of the price and can be used where no Cell signal is available. I don’t get it.

Starlink is the way to go with 100% coverage anywhere you go and cheaper than having 2 or 3 different cell plans.

Starlink doesn’t have coverage anywhere you go. In fact if you read their website it specifically says you can’t travel with it.

Folks that already have the system have posted a new interface that allows them to update their location today...there is no "warning" on the app that you may or may not do these updates until a future date...it is available and functional now.

Ok, so what was the improvement in download and upload speed?
It varies a lot, but I would say it is 2 to 3 times faster on average of what I was getting with our older hotspot.
Well that's about the same cost as Starlink with 1/10th speed (150 Mbps...)
@@aaronqueen55 It is portable as we speak...you can move and change your address within the app. "Mobile" by Starlink's definition is the ability to use it while driving 80 MPH down the hwy or in a plane or on a ship...this is not possible yet and will require completely different equipment once it is available.
While my husband is driving the RV, will this equipment allow me to have internet in order to do my work, or will I have to wait until we stop?

How do you get mail everywhere you go
I really understand. I live within one block of cable. But they will not run it down here. It's not profitable. I have Hughes net but it runs out fast and is not that fast. My Verizon phone and hotspot is faster. So I'm looking at a better plsn.
Best deal is Visible wireless. Get a cheap phone from them strictly for their unlimited hotspot. Their towers are Verizon and every plan you get through them reduces your price by $5/month down to $25/month. A single plan is $40/month. I’ve used them for over a year as a truck driver and have had 0 issues. I probably use about 60 gigs/month just hotspot not included data straight from phone. Can’t beat it

You can purchase more data, but we don’t see those speeds with this particular modem/router.

It’s around $100 per month. 🤔
Its mostly just in the North East of tge US and part of Canada and currently is set to a fixed address without the amity to be mobile. Yes, the network is only about 10% completed, but they are a long way away from 100% coverage and even though there are beta testers working to assist with the possibility of using it as a mobile platform, it isn't anywhere close to being able to work for fully mobile RV living. Current testing shows maybe 30 mille radius from the fixed address assigned to your unit. Even then, the beta pricing is closer to $150 a month, but does give you about 300/300 service as of their last firmware update 2 weeks ago.
In short, cellular systems like this will be much more effective both in practical application and cost for the foreseeable future.
Why not satellite internet? Works everywhere…right?
Only $140 a month for the 500gb AT&T plan? Mobilemusthave has shown $160 for that for awhile.

$140. Per month, wow! Seems pricey if you’re not someone who actually works remotely while on the road.
Most of the mobile cellular data plans have tripled their cost due to the overwhelming demand for this type of product. A demand generated by so many people homeschooling and moving to work from home positions.
The RV industry, due in large part to the pandemic, has grown 300% in the last 12 months with no signs of slowing down for the next few years. These data plans have increased as well in step with the industry increase. Our plan used to be $40 a month, now its $129. But, it gives us the freedom to go anywhere and we average about 90 mbps with our set up.
So, yeah, $140 is just the average these days.
@@randomaccesswebtv8770 Is that 90MBPS on comparable hardware? I'm thinking about full timing as well, but going without fast internet is one of the most daunting aspects as an avid gamer.. lol
@@CluelessUnknown I use the Nighthawk M1100 Cellular router. I have pulled 150 mbps off of it directly and its range is relatively good, but I now connect it to an Action tech Seried T3200 router with a radius of 3000 sq ft and it covers my entire RV and just outside of it.
Most of these newer cellular plans require you use their cellular router, Ihave not tested them, but as long as it has an ethernet out you can always connect it to your personal router or an ERRO Managed WiFi Mesh system.
Currently ours is working on a Verizon plan and is pulling about 70 mbps.

It is now February 2022.....and STARLINK is looking worse and worse. Satellite crashes, super long back up times to get equipment, terrible customer service.......and ......we are in a campground in New England....where there are very tall trees. It appears....that according to their phone app.....that STARLINK won't work in that scenario at all. SO what good is it? Will this thing work in a forest?
Thats great, but not everybody can spend $1000+ for internet. Plus you need some sort of signal to begin with. My hotspot with a Wilson amplifier works well. Great it was given to you tho.

Starlink now allows you to change home location using GOOGLE MAPS.
