One issue I have found with men like Joe Lonsdale is that they say,”We”, throughout their speech on fixing major issues in this country however, I have written him several times for months about a business that I am about to launch that will revolutionize healthcare and wanted to take the business through 8VC. I haven’t heard a word.
Let’s pay administrators who go into failing districts way more. What incentive does any school official have to take on a failing system if you don’t do that?
I don't think he was against that idea but was highlighting the fact that lower performing schools are getting more funds--their administrators are getting paid more--but that additional money "hazard pay" should be entirely contingent on results. The issue I perceive is that all of these people are gobbling up funds without actually delivering and only perpetuating the low performance of these inner city schools. There are many teachers and educators (vice administrators) that deserve to make lots of money for truly imparting exceptional educational impacts on all types of students and they must be highlighted and rewarded, specifically for low performance schools--I don't think those systems are in place to do that or to actually boost performance. TL;DR yes but...😂
