***Sorry for the audio quality, guys and girls. This video was made back when copyright infringement was almost non existent and I could use any song for background music. Unfortunately, all of the songs that were used had to be muted. Thanks for showing this. I want to change my injectors but I believe I have to take this apart to get to them. I hope I'm as patient as you are. Not everyone is cut out to do this.
I've never done this to my 06 Spec V. Been too lazy and Nissan "fixed" the butterfly issue in late 05 and all 06 models. But this video motivated me to do this. Props to you for doing this with one hand, while filming. I'm impressed.
Hey- Thanx for taking the time to video this AND upload it. It was exactly what I was looking for (specifically, the vacuum lines and solenoid on the back of the intake.)
Thanks for the video. I checked screws on my 03 altima 117000 miles, they were good I took them out and put red locktight anyway. Pre cat was falling apart internally, I quickly replaced it with a chrome non-cat header, hopefully i saved it in time. To all of you think about doing these modifications, DO IT. I was hesitant now i might be paying for a remanufactured engine, $3500 installed. good luck!
That's great! I did the same thing, replaced the cat converter with a catless header and locktited my screws. If a lot of people did this, there would be more 02-04 Altimas on the road and less in the junk yard. I still have to pay for a reman engine though. I have oil consumption still :( but not on a daily basis.
Thanks for your video man it really helped me out. I have no experience but with this video I was able to do it and reverse it and everything is working fine. In my case I had to change a fuel injector. that was that was replaced by a mechanic and messed it up.
Just watched your video. Every step was filmed nicely. Nissan sure loves 10 + 12mm bolts, don't they? This would be a good time to change out any hoses and factory clamps. Also, before reconnecting sensor connectors put some dielectric grease on to prevent oxidation and fouling from dirt and oil. Thanks bro!
great video !! just wondering if you put a new gasket on while you were at it too ? , if you did ,can you tell me the steps of you went about doing so,did you use gasket maker and/ or sealer ?, then lay the gasket on that etc , ? if you can, try to be as specific as possible , and the main question is should I even bother doing this on my car? ( locktite tthe butterfly screws to begin with ) ? . I know many 02-05? have had issues w theses screws , I have an 06 nis altma 2.5 am I out of the woods ,or should I do it ? thanks !
I didn't put on a new gasket. I did put the gasket upside down though, which caused bad idling problems. But I put the gasket right side up and the problems were gone. When I did remove the gasket I didn't find any gasket maker or anything. It was just sitting there lol. If you have an 06 then you shouldn't have to do this because Nissan fixed this problem in that year. It doesn't hurt to check though.
No that was the intake the valve cover wouldn't have that many things to remove your valve cover gasket sits under the housing of your spark plugs(valve cover)
Liked the video very much! I will give this a shot this weekend. I hope it ends my search for the reason my car idles rough and misfires. By the way, I like the smooth music at the end of your video! Who is the artist? Thanks!
Omg😵😵😵 do I have to go through all this I've dissasebellled every thing remaining alternator and put the engine on tdc, I want to remove the head with the intake which bolts to take off then ill do the rest for headgasket then dissasemble intake mainfold outside the car it's pita do it in this way
I'm having problems with my fuel injectors and I'm planing on swapping them this Saturday. For this to be done I'll have to remove the intake because the injectors are right below it. Do you know the steps to replace the fuel injectors? Anything would be appreciated thanks. Btw I have a 03 altima.
I have a question i recently got my head gasket and valves done but their still fluid leaking into my cylinder 4 does the head gasket and valve job also include the intake manifold to?

thanks for the update, you should pin the comment; I was confused why there was no audio

I have to replace my injectors. Not sure if I should have my mechanic do it, or save the $ and go for it. Any advice or tips?
Did you ever replace injectors

Thanks only video I could find of this. Think this is why I'm getting bad mileage and car runs bad

Ya those factory clamps suck
Snaaaaps that scared me....tunes came outta nowhere 😲🎶🎶😂😂😂
Thanks for the video do I need to do this to replace fuel injectors?
Amazing, I need this video
Ty from Mexico
Thanks for a great video. I am a beginner and this was a lot simpler than I thought it would be because of your video. Blessings.
Your video has been very helpful thank you!
Nice video did this to my spec v when I got it loctited all those screws
Maybe I missed it but there are two layers of bolts. The big ones up the top and smaller ones down the bottom. Thanks again for the help
Could that cause water to get in with they all

Correct me if im wrong but i dont think tht was intake manifold gasket that was valve cover gasket replacement. Jst for clarity

Thanks dude!! It’s was of great help!!👍👌🏻
Thank you for sharing this video, God bless..
+Jose Garcia No problem. :)

Thanks!
Tony Thompson is ur car still idling and misfires
Tony Thompson I have 2003 altima I replaced all 4 ignition coil packs and the idle is perfect
Is this the same for a b15 sentra SER spec V
I'm sure you've done this by now, but yes. A bracket might be in a different spot but the qr25de in the Altima and spec v 02-06 are identical
what is torque specs for intake manifold ?
tight 11 foot lbs
Omg😵😵😵 do I have to go through all this I've dissasebellled every thing remaining alternator and put the engine on tdc, I want to remove the head with the intake which bolts to take off then ill do the rest for headgasket then dissasemble intake mainfold outside the car it's pita do it in this way
Did you re use your manifold gasket? Did you removed the water lines going thru the throttle body?
Yes, I re-used the original gasket and I didn't even touch the water lines on the TB.
05NismoGirl
Thanks for the input
Juan Barraza No problem :)
2:41 what is the name of that hose ?
A vent hose, I believe.
Thank you

I haven't messed with the fuel injectors. Go to NissanClub(dot)com to look that problem up. That's where I learned almost everything about this car.
Where are the butterfly screws that need loctite?
Great video. Lighting was good enough. I will use this post when I need to do this job. At what mileage should I check for this brother?
mine has started this problem at 250K miles
I have a question i recently got my head gasket and valves done but their still fluid leaking into my cylinder 4 does the head gasket and valve job also include the intake manifold to?
John Grijalva it could be that your valve cover is actually broken from inside, mine had that so my cylinders would be full of oil.
You have to change the valve cover. The gaskets around the tubes dry up and crack. Cannot fix you have to replace cover
theres nothing on the first link?
You didn't take off the throttle body?
I don't think so.
Damn that intake was dirty. I wonder what mines will look like.
No sound I am here guessing
Cool👍
Cant see nothing
the music made it so I could not understand or hear anything you are saying
Another poor owner falls victim to Renault screwed shitbox Nissan. How the mighty have fallen.
I have fallen to sad face
No sounds
