Happy Tuesday Gus, I don't own a 84mm Walker as I have several 91mm Campers with a saw , an 85mm Swiss Buck Trekker ( equivalent of the Camper ) & a whole bunch of 91mm Huntsman with saws. To tell the truth if I have any sawing chores, I use the saw on the side locking 111mm Rucksack or 111mm liner locking Forester because their large size makes sawing tasks a lot easier . FYI my Rough Ryder Denim Micarta RR2181 Wharncliffe Folder & my Rough Rider Black Bone Coal Miner clip point Lockback Knife RR761 arrived today, the first one you reviewed & I am pleased to inform you how accurate your review was & what a great knife it is and super sharp out of the box with a great snap & great texture . I only paid $20 for it ( plus a few $ combined shipping ) & It has just one minor almost unnoticeable flaw in that there is a teeny weenie gap between the micarta handle on the RR blade tang side & the nickel bolster, the other end & the handle on the other side are flush fit. The 2nd knife, which being a lock back is not UK legal cost me a mere $ 10 & it too is super sharp & well made & both knives fit in the ticket pocket of my Jeans. I have 4 other Rough Ryders on order & when they arrive I will post a brief up date on them on your Channel.

Hope your having a good evening Steve, yes... I enjoy campers too and have one to review soon - it's been years since I've had one!
I'm loving the Forester range and also the Rangerwood 55 in Walnut, that would be ideal for me, in the woods 🪵 🌳 - hope to get one in the near future.
I'm glad my review helped and that you like your RR's - I have become very select with them now and that is one of a few I keep 😉

Something that he can take out and saw off a branch and started to whittle away and learn knife safety at the same time. Due to the fact that the ABS/Cellidor scales are quite rigid, to help align the brass pins, it is my guess that those new micarta scales must have an encapsulated skeleton 'liner' to add rigidity and help engage the the correct tension-'snap' on the pins...

It’s hard to knock a sak , really they are very very good 👍🏻 I’m very reluctant to dis the steel, corrosion resistant, will bend a bit before it snaps , it’s not brittle in my opinion, then you can sharpen it in the field. I’m not an expert these are just my personal views. I’ve got a feeling, isn’t that a Beatles song? No sorry I got a feeling victorinox know exactly how to make pocket knives, even my mum could recognise a sak . Who wants a super hard knife that might snap because it’s so brittle and hard or maybe they chip the blade in the field, or might rust in humidity. Super steels maybe super steels, but great pocket knives are the variety known as The Swiss army knive . Victorinox know what they are doing surly. Great 👍🏻 video mate as usual .. yes g10 and maybe s30v but maybe we already have the perfect knife, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it . I’m using one of my delomont 18 yellow black scales, victorinox equivalent is the field master I think 🤔

@@gadgetgus definitely mate I’m the same. Guys like us want the very best example of a pocket knife g10 top blade steels . When I first laid eyes on a sak , to my young self it was the best a pocket knife could be, plastic is a pretty good material as long as you don’t leave it in the sun to long. Blade steel yes may s30 v possibly? But really once you’re used to the way a particular tool performs, you get used to it . Some modern steels don’t give you everything you might want perhaps. You’re a carpenter, I was to , the old Philadelphia diatons were at the end of their time when I came in , but all the old boys said they didn’t want anything else. I loved my Ed wing hammer 20 oz but other people said they prefer the fibre glass handle hammers with shock absorbers. My best tools ⚒️ were the ones I was used to , marbles blue chip chisel were in my opinion better than the red yellow newer better one they bought out but I lost a few of the handles on them . Blue chip were the best. Victorinox are very stayed in their design, just as a Rolex watch hardly changes over the decades and that’s why people love them , now you’ve had your lecture from a boring old fart lol . When I started we used auger bits and a brace for mortise locks , on my city and guilds course the tusk Tennon was still being taught 1979 . Floor bashing to record floor cramps 2 rows herring bone strut and my 20 oz eat wing . All truss roofs for us though. I couldn’t do cut . 1st and 2nd fixing, those were the days. And always in my bag pocket or tool box was a Swiss Army knife. Blimey I’m old. Est wing , and Diston saws. Sorry about the grammar, we didn’t have predictive text when I were a lad , we didn’t even have mobile phones. Loving your work mate 😎🌞
