This is probably facepalm inducing levels of obvious in hindsight, so apologies if this comes across as rude or patronizing.
Also, please take this with a grain of salt as I have yet to actually play the game....my PC is an ancient relic that can't even run West Of Loathing without dropping to 1 frame per minute. I just happen to watch a nigh ludicrous amount of other creator's content.
When it comes to the Bull, stacking items or levels in the three damage types is key to victory. Thankfully you noticed this later in the run and corrected the missteps.
Items like Dynamite affect the damage explosion size as does another item unlocked later on. Quite a few later unlocks will greatly reduce the inherent difficulty with the Bull.

Not rude at all. That's just solid advice. I do feel it's a bit boring for a whole character to only want 3 things to be optimized. But I'm confident we'll get a win with him!
