Geez people are so gullible. Censers predate the Bible. It was used in ancient Greek and Egyptian magical rituals. Which is exactly where the Hebrews and the Catholics picked up the idea. Evening in the Bible was originally Greek and Egyptian magic. Down to the prayers. All of Psalms is a direct quote from an Egyptian magical ritual. Even the 3 crosses with "Christ" abs the two sinners was part of an ancient Egyptian magical ritual. They'd use hollow wax dolls with a person's name written on papyri shoved inside. Then tired to a cross, rolled in menstrual blood stained linen pierced with three nails then buried under the door frame of their home. While burying they'd chant the magical spell while burning frankincense. This wasn't a spell to ward off bad things, but to visit them upon their enemies. People really need to read more.

True. You only need 2-3 pieces. Here's a funny and interesting story about Alexander the Great and the precious frankincense... Once when the young prince was offering sacrifice, with would-be royal lavishness he scooped up two whole fistfuls of incense to cast on the altar-fire. This brought down a stinging rebuke on his head from his tutor. 'When you've conquered the spice-bearing regions,' Leonidas said, with ... elaborate sarcasm..., 'you can throw away all the incense you like. Till then, don't waste it.' Years later, Alexander captured Gaza, the main spice entrepot for the whole Middle East. As always, he sent presents home to his mother and his sister. But this time there was one for Leonidas as well. A consignment of no less than eighteen tons of frankincense and myrrh was delivered to the old man, 'in remembrance of the hope with which that teacher had inspired his boyhood' -- together with an admonition not to be parsimonious towards the gods.
Burning incense is not to kick out demons. To the ancient religions, burning incense in front of an idol was a statement to the deity that you recognize his divinity. Burning incense before Christ is a statement that you recognize Christ as your God. In orthodox church burning incense before live men is a statement that all humans are icons of God.
Burning incense is cleansing. Always has been used for that. To the ancients, burning incense was a gift, a sacrifice to the gods, since the stuff was expensive even back then, and it's a sacrifice that is also a purification.
Someone once told me that burning frankincense after the sun goes down brings a lot of trouble into your life. And that the frankincense should only burn when the Sun is up
That absolutely is not true, considering there are evening and midnight services in the Church calendar and the Daily Cycle of Divine Services (i.e., Vespers, Compline, Midnight Office) in which incense is offered. In home practic, incense is typically offered with the morning and evening prayers. Indeed, the holiest feast of Christianity, Pascha (Easter), begins with the Midnight Office on the Saturday night leading into Resurrection Sunday. It should be noted that in the Apostolic tradition, sunset is reckoned as the beginning of the new day, and this is according to the Second Temple Jewish reckoning of time that the earliest Christians adopted, being themselves Jews. This can be seen in the New Testament as well (e.g., Acts 20:7-12).

By the way my dad's an Orthodox archpriest (protoprebyter) I grew up seeing all this and they use those during services and also needed other things they use for house blessings as well. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. Yea…… first of all don’t break the charcoal. It has a sunken centre so the incense won’t be wasted and will stay on the coal. Keep the charcoal in a air tight box, that way when you light it it will light instantly, as it’s meant to. Definitely do NOT use this type of thurible for wafting incense, use one where the lid has a chain that you can lift the lid with, otherwise you WILL burn your hands. The lid chain, with the other chains should all go through a locking ring, when you fill the thurible, you close the lid with the lid chain, and pull down the locking ring to the top of the thurible. This way, the lid will Not come off. You can then use it to waft the incense around,. Do not use a feather, if it gets near to this now red hot thurible it will burn, melt etc.
Just my thoughts on this: I hope that all children & pets are removed from the homes, BEFORE using any of the smoke blessings. Some type can kill dogs, cats & birds, just with the fumes...(and that's a LOT in that one.) Then, air out the homes, before letting pets and children, back inside. Note to many others: Oil warmers are just as bad. Always check to find out if it's safe with your children and pets around.
DoN´T hold the firing coal in your finger lighting up! Ask meeee ;) If you can, fire it allways up outside a dor or a window... yhe coalsmel, smell ´s mor lik hel then heaven...

“Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.”
Acts 19:13-20
What denominations are you, brother?
Timothy Freeman Protestant.
Virginia Paranormal nice
You should become Catholic. Then you can get your incence blessed by a Priest of Christ or one of His Bishops ordained in the Apostolic Succesion going back to The Apostles; most notably St. Peter.
@@timothyfreeman97 You don't need a catholic priest to blessed anything. God tells us we all have the ability to bless anything through Christ as we are all called to be disciples of Jesus. If you think u need a priest to bless religious items or to do any type of blessing then you are lacking within the True form of Christian spirituality taught by Jesus and his 12 Disciples and by the way the church peter started through Jesus wasn't catholic, catholicism was started by a roman empire years after the death of the last disciple, The church Jesus had peter start was a spiritual Church made up of believers not a earthly church such as catholics. Many catholics don't realize this because many catholic priest lacks spiritual understand within scripture.

Hey I am to investigator paranormal. I'm learning from paranormal shows.O yeah I am Orthodox
How relatable it's what our Prophet p. B. U. H said about frankincense. It wards off evil entity.
frankincense
it's a cenSER, not a cenSOR....
Just my thoughts on this:
I hope that all children & pets are removed from the homes, BEFORE using any of the smoke blessings. Some type can kill dogs, cats & birds, just with the fumes...(and that's a LOT in that one.) Then, air out the homes, before letting pets and children, back inside.
Note to many others: Oil warmers are just as bad. Always check to find out if it's safe with your children and pets around.
Especially if your pets are demonic (most are)
Frankincense is mostly safe although smoke in general can be irritating but not deadly
It's a cenSER, not a cenSOR.
onafixedincome I gotta blame that on the auto correct.
It’s a Censer
DragonGames Auto correct maybe. 🥴
Virginia Paranormal Ahh, alrighty
Dragon's dogma 2 anyone?

Understand something, inscense is not to drive out evil spirits. Whatever bible your reading is wrong! Must be Protestant. Find a real catholic bible. Inscense is as depicted to lift the prayers and intentions up with the inscense to the heavens. And your not a priest and did not bless the incense as the priest would do but you NOT! if your reading the Bible, you’d understand being paranormal hunter is nonsense.
If you read the Bible you will know we are all preists of the most high and we all have the Authority given to perform blessings and casting out demons, plus if you knew the Bible you will also know that the Catholics are not spiritually Christian as Catholic Bibles has removed things from scriptures and disrespect God's Sabbath day as well Catholics don't practice the true teachings of Jesus y'all practice a man made version of it which is why y'all lack biblical understanding by changing it without God's permission. Please learn your Bible if you are gonna attack someone on UA-cam. Your Catholic man made priests are lower then God's spiritual priests but since you are a Catholic I don't expect you to understand what the difference between the two are.
False
it smells bad.
House blessing???? There’s no such thing and that is not biblical at all!
Some say there’s no such thing as God. How do you respond to their claims?
that's witchcraft, thats not of God, your cursing that house.
Alex picacho Not true.
A lot of churches burn frankincense,
Alex picacho What's your source?
Incense is mentioned in both the old & new testament.
You're cursing the Lord by cursing incense.
*me, an atheist, munching on popcorn*
Only priests can offer incense to the coal ur not a priest
Nahom Birhanu That’s a Catholic myth.
We are all priest according to the word of God. Catholic priests are man made priest not spiritual priests. your Catholic myths has no Authority please learn your Bible.
@@VirginiaParanormal not even a catholic myth. Anyone can use incense when it is used for prayer, not just the priest. The fact that the person suggested that is ridiculous
@@VirginiaParanormal oh yeah and for context, I actually am Catholic
Who in your operation is an ordained priest? you better not be making money off of this, and what Diocese jurisdiction is permitting you to do these blessings?
asking for money for giving someone a blessing, especially a false blessing is a big, bleeding dirty scar on your soul.
Gnàth Fear No one is an ordained priest. None of us are even Catholic. We don’t need the permission of any Diocese to do God’s work. Our authority comes from Him. There’s no charge for our services.
This is the absolute worst video on this subject I have ever seen. This guy is clueless.
ObiWan Solo716 Actually, he knows what he’s doing. The statistics in our success rate speak for themselves. It doesn’t take a Jedi to see that.
@@VirginiaParanormalyou're possessed by the spirit of an angry dumb dead guy. Get rekt noob.
