The worst thing about Do Me a Solid is that Rigby gains nothing from those solids. He literally wasted TEN free favors just to ruin his friend's date for no reason other than pure sadism.
Rigby _eventually_ became my favorite character in the series but he was absolutely awful for at least the first three seasons or so.
Rigby was funnier when he was a heel
But it wasn’t even supposed to be a date for him. It was a group activity and Margaret was only there because she was doing Eileen a solid, and if it was a date for anyone, it would be between Rigby and Eileen.

Early Rigby was an absolute asshole. He bet his friends' souls over a bowling ball with other souls in it and constantly sabotaged Mordecai's chances with Margaret, yet it's crazy how people would ignore that and consistently called Mordecai a bad friend. He also forged Mordecai's college rejection letter because he didn't want to be separated from him.
I still think he turned out to be a great person by the end of the series, but people treat his actions like they were just something that happened instead of realizing Rigby did terrible stuff.

We've all done terrible things but it helps a person grows as a person.
That's why I liked Mordecai a bit more. I think Rigby thought he might of thought he was doing something good in his mind by sabotaging his best friend's date with Margaret & his college applications because he didn't want him to move on & he really wanted his best friend by his side & have nothing get in the way of that in which he saw these things as potential threats to their friendship. Though that may be the case it does not excuse what Rigby did & if he was truly a good friend he would let him & want him be successful. I never thought Mordecai was a bad friend, I thought he was good to Rigby the most but at times I thought he was a bad person because I feel he would just get pissed off at people for no reason or the littlest things. I mean he PUNCHED Benson in the face & how did he not get fired for that?

Both Mordecai and Rigby had their moments, but the bros did grow a lot and became much better people as the seasons went on, so I feel like overall in the end, things worked out for those 2

I love how the more Rigby grew closer to Eileen he became a better person. He hated having responsibility, he always needed to be a smart ass, never knew when to shut up and lied almost all the time. That is what always got him into trouble.
It wasn’t until the later seasons that he started to change and finally grew up. He even started a family with Eileen and you can see he has children, that is the biggest responsibility you will ever have. He is still playing videogames but he’s still with his family, he finally has what he never did, a balance.

No, they're usually pretty forthcoming about accepting Rigby's flaws.
The issue is that Rigby has a reason for being the way he is, and it makes sense for why he falls into this pattern of behavior.
For Mordecai, no such reason exists. He has no excuse for the way he acts. Yes, he's better in a vacuum, but his actions are way worse for what should be the standard for expectations.

I don’t really do favourites and least favourites. I respect fans opinions on who is the worse character in the duo. But not every character is perfect, all characters do bad things. They represent things that people actually do in real life, every character can be relatable 🤷♀️

Like that one time when Mordecai and Rigby were drinking coffee from Strangers, they never even bother to honor they contract, so I think it makes them look hypocritical by treating Benson like dirt after he sold the stick hockey table. But I agree that Benson was in the wrong.

Why does everyone keep ignoring what Rigby did in that one movie? The one where they go to the past and they find out Rigby stole Mordecai's acceptance letter to Havard from his mail, switches it with his own unacceptance letter and put it in Mordecai's envelope to "find it", the letter Rigby got that said he [Rigby] shouldn't even consider trying for any college because he sucked that bad with school, and when Mordecai reads the fake letter and sees he's visibly hurt by the letter, then tells Mordecai that he [Rigby, not Mordecai] actually got accepted into his college, but will stay behind because "they're friends", then gaslights Mordecai into thinking Rigby was truly sticking up for him, when in reality Rigby just swapped the letters, planned for this moment, and he had no remorse doing it and even looked proud that he did it all with the biggest smirk on his face, until he was caught over a decade later by Mordecai's future self who tries to unalive him for it. I'm sorry, but that was the snakiest thing I ever saw in the series and one of the most reprehensible things I seen in TV/Movie/Game, and I watched the Mark/Amber break up scene on Invincible. When Mordecai said he was jealous of Rigby doing better than him, I didn't bat an eye because of that moment in the movie. Admittedly, I would feel the same way if my so called best friend tricked me into believing I was a complete wash out for years while making my current life even harder for me. This was probably the source of why Mordecai became such a lame later in life.
TLDR; To me, without seeing the Regular Show movie, Mordecai's the worst no doubt, but if you saw the movie and rewatching literally every single scene with that context from the movie in mind, I'm sorry, but Rigby is still the worst person out of everyone in this show by far.

There's honestly TOO many worst Rigby episodes in the early seasons. And we really haven't seen Rigby do anything truly awful until we learn about what he did to Mordecai in the past in the Regular Show movie.
I love this show so much because it was so relatable since episode 1. I remember me and my best friend since damn near birth use to record all the episodes and watch after school or whatever we hung out and it was great! The best part about was that my dad use to sit down and watch it with us when he had time and actually laughed at the show and told us Mordecai and rigby was us and at the time I didn’t really see the comparison and looking back at it and even now it’s 100% true all personalities are damn year 1/1 and it funny specially since we are now older and understand the hidden jokes and being in the work force as a high school/ college kid it’s crazy the days that we are slacking it’s like the bs on the show.
And if anyone was wondering yes back then and even now all my friends that have seen the show aways say “you and rigby are the same person “lol

All of these episodes where Rigby is at his worst case of how big of an annoying petty immature cocky selfish cheating lying prick he was. Even after his redemption through Season 7, he showed a bit his old self again in “Lost & Found”

One of the worst episodes in regular show was the one which Rigby fell into that gorilla enclosure in 2016
Rigby needs to get punched hard for refusing to hug his brother. Even at the expense of the park. Also, Rigby was downright evil and malicious in the do me a solid episode. No friend should use whatever those solids are to embarrass and humiliate his friend in front of his romantic interest. Rigby asked Mordecai to take a dump in front of Margaret ffs.
HOWEVER! I can't think of any scene that can out-cringe the one where Mordecai broke up with CJ... in Muscle man's wedding
I’m not sure if that’s what the writers intended. They just seemed to love having Mordecai fumble in relationships. My belief is that he’s an example that not everyone has to be good at romance. People can complain that he’s 23 and should know better but he’s a guy who still makes mistakes. It’s an everyday thing. Not everyone is an expert in love. Not Mordecai, not CJ, not Margaret, etc.
Also, unpopular opinion, while I don’t like how they handled the episode, I kinda consider the wedding episode to be karma on Muscle Man for having everyone believing that he’s gonna die. Benson is right. “”I leave this world tonight.” is not a metaphor!!”
Fortunately a lot of the bad Rigby episodes were from the earlier seasons, so it’s amazing to see how much his character has improved over the years.
In the end of the day, you realize there both good for each other, cuz they both have there ups and down
I don't get the mordecai hate, I don't think he sucks as a character I think his bad episodes are due to bad writing or people like rigby never supporting him and just being an asshole instead of giving friendly advice like a real friend would. The movie too where rigby forges a letter to mordecai about college just so he can stay in a dead end job like him really shows his selfish personality.
Its your opinion bro but for me personally altough rigby was a bad friend in the beginning seasons, as the show goes on rigby really develops into a good character learning to accept eileen and take responsibility for his wrong doings but as for mordercai he really fell down hill as a character I personally felt like he didnt even grow that much in the later seasons. (but if you haven't seen the video about why mordecai was the "worst character" you should watch it because the video contains valid facts.)

I feel like Mordecai fell off in seasons 6 & 7. He was better in season 8, though his terribleness in previous ones kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
The way I see it, as Rigby got more attention and development the show started leaning into how lame Mordecai was as a contrast, but it lacked the self-awareness to realize how much of an ass they were making him which is why it seems like he doesn't get any repercussions for his actions.
(BTW I don't hate Mordecai, I'm more disappointed than anything else.)

Rigby offering his ticket and making her laugh was his way of teaching mordecai a lesson. He kept repeating the message and I don't see how so many people missed his point. He wasn't going to steal her away, he was simply pointing out that mordecai's lack of action would leave him open to that happening eventually, so he was blatently trying to get him onboard with dropping the shyness and just asking her out. It's a tough way to teach, but he wasn't being mean.
Wasn’t it always a character trait for Rigby of rubbing it in people’s face? I noticed this throughout the series, but he was being excessive about in the specific episode. How is that not being mean at the very least? Rigby in the early seasons was a terrible person, that’s how his character was established. He’s become a better person than he was near the later seasons. But back to the point, what he did was excessive. Very excessive and terrible. Most people “miss the point” because it’s not acceptable in general. Decent people wouldn’t do this like what Rigby did themselves. Would you?

I always hated when his haters say that he didn't deserve his happy ending because of stuff he did in the past, When he worked hard to change his attitude and life around. He EARNED his relationship with Eileen, He EARNED his diploma when he went back to school and put in the work.
Most importantly, he treats his friends better, and does what he can to be better. I'm not downplaying his bad actions in the past, He acted like a spoiled child, and a jerk, But he's not those things anymore.

rigby has one of the best character arcs and becomes a very likeable character later on, but his later character development for some reason makes people forget how much of a piece of shit he was in the early seasons
I think this thing about early season Rigby never facing the consequences of his actions means that in those episodes the show is accompaning mostly Mordecai's perspective. As he frequently thinks many things are about him when they aren't, the world (in his view) will always punish him when he's insecure about something (his insecurities generally involve Margaret or just romance in general), even though he's not to blame. Rigby in the other hand was the exact opposite, he never took the blame for all the shit he did, so he never sees the world as punishing for him (or at least when shit happens he doesn't think it's his fault)
Finally someone said the truth about the ticket episode
“You do good; nobody notices. You make one mistake and everyone is quick to judge you.”
While Mordecai had made more then one mistake in terms of romance, he’s helped save the universe multiple times and yet a lot of people seem to ignore that and call him “simp”, “loser”, and just every insult in the book. I don’t know if the writers intentionally went in that direction but I still love his character.
Also, while I don’t condone it, I think Mordecai talking at MM’s wedding is kinda like karma on MM’s part for having everyone believing that he was gonna die. “”I LEAVE THIS WORLD TONIGHT” IS NOT A METAPHOR!!” You’re right about that benson.

Rigby was always a shitty and self centered selfish character until Eileen Changed him for the better especially in the Episode (The Eileen Plan where she has a list she wants to do before 25 years old. So yeah Rigby’s been my favorite character ever since that episode came out in season 7.💯🐐🙏🏼😅
I don't get how everyone looks at Mordecai with disgust when he did his solid when it was RIGBY who told him to do it and basically everyone else SAYING he had to or the universe would collapse. If anything, they should all be disgusted with Rigby for making Mordecai to do that in the first place.
No matter how bad Rigby can be I still love them in the show because him alongside Mordecai are both equally my favorite characters in the show because this is actually my favorite animated show of all time.

People say that Rigby always sabotaged Mordecai with his chances of getting Margaret, but people kinda forget that's not true. The show, a good majority of the characters in it, all knew that Mordecai was bad with women. That's why he never really gets true closure until the very end, because Mordecai needed to work on himself before he could get with someone and not mess it up. There have been times where Rigby has been super supportive of Mordecai, and Mordecai still messes it up. Rigby was never the real outlier here, despite what people like to say.

Great video but I think it’s unfair to say you don’t like a character because they have flaws! I like both of them because they have real people issues and emotions and struggle with maturity at times. It’s entertaining and gives them life.
Another episode i would say that made me not like rigby (s1-s5) was the wall buddy episode.
When I think about how much of an asshole Rigby is to Mordecai, the first episode that comes to mind is the one where Benson orders the two of them to clean their room and Rigby spends the entire episode expecting Mordecai to do all the work. The room belongs to both of them, but Rigby was the one who made it such a mess.

I enjoy Regular Show. It’s hard to decide who to root for because they’re both abusive to each other at times. Rigby was worse in the early seasons but at the same time Mordecai was a bully at times.
Understandable crashout
Rigby had the most character development out of everyone.
The show flipped the script where in the earlier episodes rigby was the terrible character wheras whilst by the end of the show he is arguably redeamed and changed for the better while mordecai gets worse and he put CJ through an abusive relationship were he constantly cheated on her and while it was on accident at first he later broke up with CJ for Margret (margret btw is also a terrible character for other reasons)
TLDR -Rigby gets better mordecai gets worse + he abuses CJ.
Its weird how the episode its time shows the bad side of Mordecai and rigby and neither of them learned anything

Yeah, he pissed me off multiple times. Especially when he messed with Mordecai, my favourite character.

I agree with you for most early Rigby episodes(especially if you include the movie) but I'm going to say this about It's Time. I don't feel bad for Mordecai in the slightest. Yeah Rigby was acting like a prick but Mordecai lost all sympathy from me by constantly denying his jealously to the person who knows how much he likes Margaret. In a way saying that he doesn't care even though that's a damn lie. And going around microwaving clocks with a psychopathic look on your face, over a girl you're not even dating or could confess to, tells me that Margaret probably made a better choice.
The art style in the power is peak
I still like rigby, but I just hate some of the things he does to his friends S1-S2, and sometimes he can sometime teach mordecai some lessons.

Rigby was the reason I never got into regular show.
I remember people saying it was good but Rigby reminded me of that annoying kid no one liked in middle school so he made life annoying for eveyone. Horrible character.
