I got interested because I am currently working remotely as a backend dev, but what I don't understand is... if I only need the eTA instead of the Visa for Digital Nomad, does it mean I can search for a job when I'm in Canada without any problem only because I am a software developer? I thought the eTA would be only for visitors or tourist, not meant to search for a job there. 🤔

I am also the only employee at our email Marketing company. We make $100K on average yearly. I have a business card with my name on it, we file taxes with IRS, we have a certificate of good standing....my brother is a US citizen but l am not... Although it may not matter much during your visa stage as you’ll just have to enter as a visitor, you’ll definitely need it while applying for jobs.

Hello mate, I also observing this program for a few months, it seems still not open yet isn't it? the link just provides several questions and all answers show that I need to apply for an ETA, not a digital nomad visa. After answering all questions with different options, the apply button still does not occur. I am still confused if the program has already started?

Hello, thanks for your video. I am Mexican, so I have a valid ETA, I even traveled to Canada a few months ago as a tourist.
I am now interested in the benefits of this digital nomad visa since I meet the requirements. But I'm confused if I have to process it before arriving in Canada, or if with my current ETA I would fly to Canada and there I would have to process something to obtain the benefits of the work permit?
This only works if you can work remotely while in Canada.
