Few years before his demise he volunteered to give a talk on (late) Samudrala Raghavacharya lyrics and padyams at Chennai Mylapore. A popular movie critic attended the talk and asked him to explain the meaning of the word Minchuboni sadly he was flummoxed and was speechless for several minutes and had no answer. I came to his rescue as I had some knowledge of Kannada and in Kannada minchu means Merupu. Minchuboni means meruputheega or an attractive woman. Nice friendly down to earth friendly gentleman but sometimes too over confident. Om Shanti
