I agree with you, Erza. In the meantime until a new Resident Evil game/game movie(playthrough) comes out, I'm finding new franchises to watch and doing other things like listen to music, maybe play some games and make more videos. Keep myself busy until then.
i've still got to play RE HD Remaster, Resident Evil 0, and Code Veronica because I missed out on those growing up so i've got plenty of Resident Evil to consume plus i'll probably play 2, 3, 4, 7 and village again just to revisit them
If it’s 2026, it could be the 30th anniversary of the franchise. If it were 2028 it would mark the 30th anniversary of raccoon city incidents. Capcom should take their time to make it the best game in the trilogy and the whole franchise and maybe have new people explore the franchise. Maybe they might pull off a Hideo Kojima stunt how he announced his game called The Phantom Pain by subtly letting fans knew it was MGS with Moby Dick studios as just a smokescreen. Just like how RE8 was just called Village but subtly put the “8” Roman numeral in it. I also think maybe more remakes should happen before RE9, if they can.
Capcom has other IPs as well and they are obviously focusing on Monster Hunter Wilds. So the next RE game might come in 2026. And this game coming 2 or 3 years after RE4 Remake isn't an issue at all. Because this is RE, not COD😂
L O L. At this point given all the delays, I am half expecting a major name from another company, essentially the equivalent of Vince McMahon from the WWF, to show up in a resident evil trailer saying that he bought the intellectual property of resident evil. Something like when Vince bought out WCW. Honestly, these hype disappointments by these resident evil addicts are getting laughable and ridiculous.
@@erzatitaniawins So am I, In fact, I think even some new DMC announcement would've been much more welcome for me compared to another redundent evil game.
Oh wait, they want that level of critical acclaim? Well, this company has refused to learn from God of war or even silent Hill so they might want to learn from naughty dog with the second the last of us game, where the game was so bad in terms of storytelling that the critics of this game were silenced and the entire gaming review machine was paid off to praise that piece of garbage. Resident evil might want to go that route.
They want a brand new title that scores in the 90's on meta critic is what I have heard. None of there new titles have done that but there remake in 2 and 4 have.
@@erzatitaniawins In that case, I REALLY think it's an ego thing, and for that reason alone, you can count out a Code Veronica remake. Capcom are targetting a critic rating score, instead of making an actual good game. . That's like Seth Rollins and CM Punk putting on a match just to make it a 5 star match on Dave Meltzer's list, or Star Wars making another movie just to get a good Rotten Tomato score.
@@TheBengalDragon I think it is more of people don't think they can make a brand new Resident Evil game that can be viewed as a legendary game that isn't a remake. The games they can remake are running out so this is a big release for them that they want to be good.
@@erzatitaniawins I have another take on it. I think Capcom has run out of ideas. It's like Mortal Kombat I, which I call, Mortal Kombat I - have run out of good ideas. Capcom already introduced somewhat of a multiverse concept in the form of the megamyocete. The worst decision Capcom can do is make a Resident Evil multiverse. I really hope RE9 DOES NOT suffer the fate of Duke Nukem forever, where they took over a decade to make that game, and what we got killed the franchise for good.
