Host's overleveled boyfriends is the next issue Fromsoftware should solve along with Afk Farmers.
agreed then everyone can stop complaining. to be fair though players will find something else to complain about.
If it benefits casuals and shitty players then it isn't an issue for current Fromsoftware.
They should just remove PvP. Why have 2 modes that have to be worse off because of the other one?

Gankers complain that invaders play passively but they don't even allow you to play aggressively since you would just die.

i think a slightly good change would be this: if you want to have a higher leveled summon, you should be able to get invaded by higher leveled invaders.

Is the logical take on this. Insted of being determined only by the Host, level check should be done per client.
Not really practical though because invaders wouldn't get those invasions at meta lvl any more. They would have to go past that to lvl 300 and I don't see that happening for most invaders.
Or at the very least extend the invasion level pool to be within both the host and the highest level summon.

I'm guessing you don't play as a PvE players much. I often see invaders display toxic behavior as well. it goes both ways. also it's pretty much the devs fault for creating the system like that. wish there was a lower lvl cap or scaling worked properly

@@AQuestCalledMusic the last time I encountered a toxic invader who was unprovoked, in Elden Ring of all games, was a while ago. In any case, there are not NEAR as many toxic invaders as there are overleveled meta cuntrag summons that teabag like they've just won the lottery.
My wife had her driver's test the other day. She got 8 out of 10. The other 2 guys jumped out of the way.

These are the EXACT same type of hosts & summons that will say shit like “p*ssy invaders always running away. You invaded to fight me so come fight me!”. Meanwhile they have 1 or 2 super overleveled phantoms and I guess just expect you to be an idiot and rush in blindly without any sort of strategy. Like, if it’s a 1v1 I get it, but it’s never a 1v1 with these types of players.
I've seen some shitters videos too, and that's exactly what they say. They're like in a perpetual state of shit talking too

Honestly wtf is it with casuals and hiding in tiny secluded areas whenever I invade, I constantly get hate mail from players who are “just trying to play the game” and calling me a coward for not running blindly into their 3 man overleveled af gank squad camping in a f*cking closet and spamming gestures for literal hours🤣

My favorite thing to do in that situation is run far away and use mimic tear. But I stay close enough so I can still watch them. Then I'll usually hangout and watch UA-cam or workout for however long it takes for them to get bored and engage the PvE or disconnect lol. If they start to actually progress and fight the PvE I can usually kill them. If they're gonna waste invaders' time, I have no problem wasting theirs while being productive myself irl. It works especially well for gank squads or bonfire duelists who have no interest in progressing through the game.
I get a lot of delusional hate mail just for playing normally against these guys. In DS3, it was always the survivalist parkour artists running away for 30 minutes and asking if I was scared when I Black Crystal out. Now, it's all the goonie squads hiding in closets, like you said, and all manner of other dark damp corners.
I mean if you think about it the same can be said about invaders.
Why should the hosts and summons blindly run after you when all you're gonna do is hide away somewhere to try and catch them off guard or hide behind enemies so you can take shots at the host?
This is the next critical fix for me is to balance out overleveled phantoms for pvp
I think scaled down phantoms in this game are worse than unscaled in ds3 due to the high damage values and passive poise

I invaded yesterday for the first time in months and I found a host with bullgoat dual cross spear varre mask at rl80. Nice to see nothing has changed.
It's awful seeing that same crap all over the place when I am invading. Moonveil spam is the least of it when you compare it to things like jumping status curved/Godskin and nagis.
I threw in the towel and started abusing Moonveil on my build. No mercy for gankers any more. Soon as I see any of the few cringe meta setups in a world I invade, I pull out the transient moonlight spam. It's neither fun nor engaging, it's just satisfying.
It has gotten better tho. I started playing at 125 and things are much better.

I get the ash of war is good... But when the flaming strike doesn't work the 17th time in a row, you gotta change something at least...
All that block taunting, running for help, spellcasting, taking cover behind castle walls, and spamming AoW, just to get countered by a makeshift cannon and a huge hunk of iron. Granted, we all handle Pvp differently, but I can't imagine being this cocky and having every advantage handed to me on a silver platter --just to get destroyed.
I really hope they change summoned phantoms for better. Limgrave seems to be a breeding ground for trashy, over-leveled gankers with nothing better to do. It's just not fun to deal with and promotes toxic and mundane gameplay.
That halbert is extremely powerful I just can’t understand how someone can be so brain dead to just use the AoW. Gankers are interesting creatures
just responding to some comments in the live chat: Urgent Heal only scales with Faith, even if the catalyst used scales with other stats (i.e. it won't scale with Strength on Clawmark seal)

And i love getting invaded at low levels where the invader spams rot pots that instant rot and run away, sleep arrows, and oneshot perfumers spark

Its easy to kill players regardless of how high their levels are though. Me and my friends have killed tons of overleveled phantoms and invaders when we were lower leveled.
@@SifGreyfang the problem is the ammount of effort it takes to kill them, the reward is not even worth enough, also i have to remember you that the host can summon 2 of them and resummon if you kill them.

Procs have allowed them to cheese through the game, get high level and more equipment, all to result of the creation of the “Over Level Shitter”.

And then some of the shitters say they are just helping their friend and enjoying the game. Surely they are, I mean, collapsing stars/ stars of ruin and flaming strike or double vyke spears are definitely not to kill invaders.
Some of us hate PvP in these games and just want to play with friends and then people like you have to ruin it.

@@_Atlas. Lmao I dont lose to invaders though. Like he stated, i always have OP weapons and spells to kill annoying people who invade and get back to what we were doing. If an invader wants to run around the map we will sit and wait untill they leave or rush us.

Have you ever considered using meat dumplings together with boluses for more heals? The farm is atrocious and they take longer to use but it's saved me more than once. More leeway for ashtus too.

Incease holy or fire damage..and indiviual strenght/Dex
on top of stack multi stats increase talisman and Great runes.
i can also wear health REGEN talisman..sit and wait all day..if he wants.
I can also MAGIC health regen and heal my teammates..if I wanted to,
Cast long range low FP spells or use weapons with long range ash of war that use low FP,..if you get close..it'll wack to death EASY..my Strength/DEX/Faith
is WAY higher than his..i can easily zero my INTEL states and put it into strength/dex/faith. My arcane is only 50. i can lower that too,
Endurance is CAP at 50.

Yo Gee you might've thought of this already but warming stones are really good in situations like these, I know they consume a bit of fp but the heal is worth it.
The materials are purchasable I believe.

he already knows about these but the stones need you to stay still for the entirety of the heal, and he seems to prefer to constantly be on the move

Warming stone and Frenzyflame stone also stack. You can heal from both at the same time for double healing as long as you inherited the frenzy flame.

Nothing’s more hopeful when I see the host and summon with dual curves swords, seppuku on both, Varre Mask and that feather caped top that increases jump attack damage.
It equals out to dying in 1 jump attack. 2 if you’re lucky.

Call me crazy but From should make an option for people that want to play PVE with or without invasions. That’s one problem semi-solved right there. Still a shit ton to do after that if it were to happen though.
They already did and it has existed in every one of their games with pvp.
I say if the phantom is above the level bracket of the host, their flasks and defenses are cut to a third of their normal values rounded down. That seems completely fair to me.
I do not mind that being an invader puts you at a big disadvantage. However it’s still got to be at least POSSIBLE for a normal player to win. Don’t base off of host lvl base it off of whoever has the highest lvl out of the host+phantoms

what is the effect that keeps appearing on the host that looks similar to the effects from using a rune arc or soul item? its in the very first invasion and happens several times right at the beginning

So why it took 15 minutes to kill them, constantly getting closer and retreating? They do enough shit.
@@TheRealShiruken All that happened in the video was every time the host or summon came out their camping spot, they immediately got outplayed.
Every melee encounter, they only fought when there were two of them.
They lacked so much learning capacity that they continuously got hit by the jar cannon.
They not only had a max level summon with way too much FP, but they also had more resources and mistakingly might I add, camped a literal fort which is made to be on the defender’s advantage.
And despite the overwhelming 4 to 1 advantage scale, they still bit the dust.
I’ve never seen a host and a summon get outplayed with that much advantage before.

I think that jee nine is overhyped. Using cheap tactics like crouch poking and crap that makes the game easy to play. Why not be actually skillful and entertaining and use underrated weapons and not "the best build" for invasions. You sweat wayyy too much

In this situation I would try to hit them with Radahns greatbow weapons art pared with giant greatarrows, the wind explosion of the arrows allow for multible hit, 1k dmg minimum, with some luck it could oneshot.

I get spanked by invaders 99% of the time. What's the issue? People who invade are so good at the game, they always use dual wield and kill me in 2 hits and my shield does nothing at all to stop it. Surely a challenge fighting tough battles like this is good?
idk what kind of crazy invaders you are getting, all of the invaders I have experienced have been fairly average, but I wouldnt call overlevelled phantoms being this overpowered a good thing under any circumstances really.
Isn't the matchmaking done by your level? Be dumb to match up a 200 lvl player with a 150. The game should let you choose how many skillpoints you want to use , even if you have 300 you should be able to just use 150 of them for example. Might make matchmaking for pvp entice more people to pvp.
I’d like to see them with one more coop. Maybe they’d still lose the 3v1.

Man, having now gone back to Bloodborne after years, Elden Ring looks so goddman *goofy* 😂😂😂. Like a buncha oompaloompas strutting about and screaming like crazy.
I've barely ever touched the invasion system in BB, just done coop, and three Hunters going against a boss looks tight AF.
Elden Ring has such a disconnect between the whole "Lord this and that" and the reality of your character simply being a clumsy circus freak. The bosses, though, they get aaalll the cool shit (talking about style, not damage).
The fact BB feels so much more responsive to me despite still being shackled by 30fps is kinda nuts. The input queuing is actually so much better, and the fact you don't have to worry about the whole poise vs armor weight annoyance is just the cherry on top.
One thing ER did well is make dodging delayed enemy atttacks super easy in BB since that's pretty much all the former has (oof) and it really primes you for parrying things like the Scourge Beast delayed lunge.
But, again, best feeling is not having to undergo an involuntary lobotomy any time your character gets touched by a breeze and inevitably yells into the mic. 😌

I’m new to souls game, and I want to point out that not everyone likes the pvp aspect of the game. Some just want to explore the world with friend. And yes, it is annoying to fight against a max level player, but it is not specifically their problem also. They’re playing a game they bought however they want, so is everyone, there’s no “right” way of playing games. I respect player with proper skill, which is smt I don’t have, that’s why I over level on all three characters 😂
and i just want to point out that if you don't like pvp. this game has it. it kinda sucks to be you. not sure if you are specifically talking about yourself. but if you want a pve experience with no pvp go for pc with the seemless coop mod if your so desperate for friends. but stop making it other peoples problem. invasions are a mechanic in the game that other people enjoy put in the game to enjoy by the creators of the game. so deal with it. this goes for every other person who says things like " i just want to pve with my friends. and you should respect that" well sorry but this isn't that type of game. and again if you want to play elden ring with no pvp and friends you need to play seemless coop on the pc. no way around that. now stop making excuses for all the pvers out there who complain about invaders. (by the way seemless coop is an awesome mod that lets you do so many things.)
@@DrywallMorty yeah, I 100% agree with you. people who complain about invaders are just dumb, I personally love the pvp aspect of any type of game, I love how a simple game mechanics can be implemented in so many different way by the creativity of people. What I want to say is that I'm sorry for being overleveled, but that's not what I can control since I'm not as good in terms of skill, I need those level for me to beat up to NG+7. And I have to be very clear to those who complain about invader, deal with it, you choose to play co-op, so you got invaded, get good or spent more time grinding and beat the game yourself XD

I was really hoping they'd add soul memory back in this game. It was a little tedious back in DS2 but at least it meant people were on a level-ish playing field.
