Your wild shape gives a bonus to con, it does not replace it, so you will always be very very fragile. I would probably have lower starting int to at least have 10 con. (Probably 54 vs. normal melee attacks.) Put on some WIS and DEX boosting items along with Bracers of Armor or Mage's Armor scroll for more sky-high AC.
A small problems with this build I saw unless they changed things in the hotfix is that first Duelist only add to AC based on the level so a level 4 Duelist can only add 4 int bonus to the AC so the 5th is wasted IF you got it just for AC. bracer of armor does not stack with armor and blocks monk bonus I think still. I think transformation skills not just wild shape benefit from wild cast or what ever so that's a big bonus. Monk AC is bugged still btw
Traditional monks is basically a straight upgrade on normal monk in this game. You trade the ability to choose your ki powers in for a good will save, +2 at level 1 scaling up to +12 at level 20
My challenge for you: Using character respec, make a full team that while changing the base classes keeps the spirit of each character. That is Amari remains hyper aggressive so a fighter or the like. Up for it? Worth noting I've been doing this in my own game already and its been a blast.
So this is really cool. I've been trying to put together a druid tank build myself and I never thought of going duelist. It's back to the drawing board for me. I do have a couple of things to mention here though. Firstly Duelist gives +1 AC per point of int per Duelist level. That means with 5 levels of duelist you can get at max +5 AC from int, so you only need 20 int. Considering there are easily acquired helms that provide +6 or +8 to all mental stats then you don't need to spend so many build points on int. 13 is the requirement for Combat Expertise so you could drop the starting int to 13 and use the +8 helm to boost it to 21. Sure that's fewer skill points but you won't have to tank your con. And shapeshifting in Pathfinder adds to base stats, not replaces them. Tanking con is probably not worth it I think. Secondly, the miasma effect from blight druid is a little underwhelming when you look at it. The save DC is low and once saved against enemies become immune. In looking to make a druid tank I started considering the feyspeaker as it lets me add spells like blur, mirror image, displacement and greater invisibility to their spell list. The downside is that, being charisma rather than wisdom based, will saves and perception scores are lower. Persuasion is much stronger though, so good for party play. Thirdly, and this is about flavour rather than function, monk abilities still work when you are not lawful. You only need to be lawful when levelling up. So if for character reasons you want a true neutral druid (gotta get that tree in the capital), you can shift their alignment to LN, take the level in monk then use the alignment reset scroll to go back to TN. I have tested this, it does work. I managed to change alignment to LN by level 6 in a full party (companions, no mercs) playthrough with shared exp still on.
Barbarians can also abandon alignment. but can not further in that class. Reading the PHB it seems clerics can do the same but only one click...ex. law to neutral or neutral to chaos your alignment and spell selection cannot be 2 steps away from your diety..ex good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Please correct me if i am wrong.
@@ArcaneAgent Yay I know, I have tried alignment shifts for barbarians and monks but clerics are too time consuming. In PHP you lose abilities in bard and monk so obviously there are differences.
The biggest downside of blight druid is that it doesn't offer an animal companion and I don't think the domains are that good. The aura of miasma is pretty cool though, however it doesn't specify "enemies" so friendly fire should be possible with it.
I don't know if they patched this out or what. But Flurry of blows doesn't work with ANY of the shapeshifts. But I feel you man, I played shifter druid in NWN and it worked there!

I can totally relate to Liquid always ranking in trickery. You could call it "Post Traumatic NWN Syndrome". If you couldn't find and disarm traps back then than you had to run the campaign with the same stupid rogue. I played through 3 times and always took the able learner feat that allowed you to spend 1 skill point vs. 2 to rank up a non class skill. You still needed 1 rouge level because even with said feat you could only invest half your character level if you had no rouge in your multiclass. I feel your pain Liquid..but it made for a lot more planning.
The locks are more evil in this game. If you fail your lock trickery check, you have to wait a whole level to come back and try to unlock it. If you fail a trap disarm attempt, you can try again immediately.
@@ArcaneAgent That is fair for them being in the same skill tree and not locked to just bards and rogues (or knock). Law domain lets a willing character take 11 on a d20. Luck domain will let you roll twice and take the better. Good gives you boosts to ability and skill checks half the cleric level, knowledge does similar but for everyone. There are quite a few others and many stack. If your #1 trickery character can't make it on an 11 with cat's grace, inspire competence, Luck, reduce person, a divine and arcane skill boost (all available at with 1st level characters) then your in the wrong dungeon for your party. I try my 2nd best thievery character and then you can get the DC from there and plan.

Druid/1 monk is way better build. You could get unarmored defense through barbarian or monk but not from both. Since your wisdom will be your main druid stat, it will be way more than constitution.
Dodge and uncanny dodge does not stack as they are the same modifier it is showing incorrectly +4 for other but your total of 23 is correct. Dodge is a type of AC each type can only stack once. You can't stack Other via Monk/Barbarian either.
Just.. Start as a Monk at level one then build from there. You won't have to worry about weapons or armor for the rest of the game, you can even grab combat expertise earlier to get the full benefit of being a Crane Tank. For love of god though, don't ever take Con as a dump stat. It's like doing a lvl 1 Dark Souls run. You Will Die. Often. Other than that, it's a fairly chill set up for laughing at the enemy as they try to hit you. Turn into a leopard, turn on flurry of blows and pounce around the map. Good times.
Sacred Huntsmaster of Shelyn (Dog or Wolf), Human, Strength primary (DEX and WIS secondary), Luck Domain. Combat Expertise Trip The real fun starts at level 3 though when you get tandem trip and so does your wolf. Doesn't scale well with higher levels (except by using true strike), but you'd be hard pressed to find something better at early levels.

very nice build, i built a druid 12/monk 4/rogue 4 today just to make a dreadful druid. Oh if someone is not using Knowledge (Arcana), you might not be able to identify any of the unidentified gear you pick up. I wanted to let ya know if your thinking of soloing the game with some of your builds. Plus im might give you my Magus build to mess around with to see if you can make it even better.
I tried out the magus and I still think a regular wizard ek is better
@@ArcaneAgent Here is my build for my Magus (Eldritch Scion)
. If you want to mess with it and try other things with it, go for it. A regular wizard/EK is missing the nice arcane armor bonuses that the magus needs to fight in close range to a wizard/EK has more spells.
Heritage: Musetouched
Bloodline: Serpentine
Attributes
Str: 16 (for Weapon and melee touch spells)
Dex: 16 (for ranged touch spells)
Con: 12
Int: 14
Wis: 10
Cha: 15
Skills: Trickery, Knowledge (Arcana), Perception, Persausion
Feats/Magus Arcana
Lvl 1: Combat Casting
Lvl 3: Point Blank Shot, Arcane Accuracy
Lvl 4: +1 CHA (must for max level spells)
Lvl 5: Weapon Focus (Touch), Precise Shot
Lvl 6: Enduring Blade
Lvl 7: Dodge
Lvl 9: Power Attack, Dimension Strike
Lvl 11: Wings, Combat Reflexes
Lvl 12: Hasted Assault
Lvl 13: Dazzling Display
Lvl 15: Shattered Defenses, Ghost Blade
Lvl 17: Dreadful Carnage, Cornugon Smash
Lvl 18: Bane Blade
Lvl 19: Blind Fight
I like it it looks good
@@ArcaneAgent I just did this build, thought i didnt min/max and went with 12 druid/1 monk/7 duelist and lost 7 AC because of that. highest was a 55 in fire elemental form (same dex bonus as air form but gets another form of attack)
Yeah the extra attack is nice , I still like shambling mound
Where are your leveling guides I don't see any links to them?
Its a video Like...6 videos back
still can't find it I assume then it must be in one of your other build video's. Thank you for your reply!
Never mind I found it.
Ah...never thought about using your trash roll character first. Regardless it Still causes you to f5 and f8 a lot
Inquisitor-Sacred Huntsmaster/Monk/Sorcerer ?
Monk sorcerer ek. Nexr
Monk sensa gets wisdom to hit level 2.
I dont think they do... I don't read that anywhere in this game
I believe they do get wisdom bonus to attacks
Find it in the text of the game and show it. Or even better, make a monk, give him 17 wisdom, look at his attack, and then level him to 4 and give him 18 wisdom, look at his attack then
@@ArcaneAgentSensa2/Viv1/WisSorc4/NoArmorCleric3/Mystic10....tons of spells with the sneak attack rays and touch. You can actually do something on enemies with sneak immunity.
@@ArcaneAgent 2nd level if I remember right
I'd love to see you build an Aldori Defender. The game throws the dueling swords at you like candy, and it's got good world flavor, but the specialist class for them feels under-powered.
I shall
Why is the int so high?
Int bonuses from duelist
Ac bonuses for the duelist AC class is from int modifier
Awesome, thanks!
Doesn't Duelist's riposte work with unarmed attacks?
Can we get the name of the intro song?
Found it. Into the Light (Remix) - Neon Beach. Also my dear youtuber, if you are seeing this, always leave the name of the musics you use in the description please.
The names of the music's are typically songs I have to pay for music licensing.
Ive seriously not gotten many requests for the music
@@ArcaneAgent I see. Still if possible always leave for us, you seem to have a good taste on music :)
@@kazuesan33 Thank you! :D
Whats the intro music?
Nvm, it's buried in comments. Into the Light (Remix) - Neon Beach.
Sorry hehe
Nice, that's exactly what I was looking for.
But for the love of God, please tell me the name of that intro song! :D
How about Druid barbarian build?
Druid/1 monk is way better build. You could get unarmored defense through barbarian or monk but not from both. Since your wisdom will be your main druid stat, it will be way more than constitution.
10/10 just for the song. Good build idea.
Do you know the song's name by any chance? I would be really grateful.
Its a non copyright song from soundstripe.com
@@ArcaneAgent Thanks, now I know where to look. But there are so many songs... do you remember the artist or something?
Dodge and uncanny dodge does not stack as they are the same modifier it is showing incorrectly +4 for other but your total of 23 is correct. Dodge is a type of AC each type can only stack once. You can't stack Other via Monk/Barbarian either.
Dodge bonuses are an explicit exception to stacking bonus types.
Heck yes they are
Sick build, literally
Heh thanks
Good times.
Give us the Single most OP Level 1 or 2 Character you can come up with.
Op level 1 or 2. Check
Sacred Huntsmaster of Shelyn (Dog or Wolf), Human, Strength primary (DEX and WIS secondary), Luck Domain.
Combat Expertise
Trip
The real fun starts at level 3 though when you get tandem trip and so does your wolf. Doesn't scale well with higher levels (except by using true strike), but you'd be hard pressed to find something better at early levels.
You might get +2 AC if you add the beard back! Haha :D
Beard protects against small cuts from a very tiny knife
Hi Liquid, I thought posting here since this is your recent build would be best. Why don't you answer any of your comments here? I have asked you 2 different questions here on 2 of your builds with no reply? I subscribed to your channel and have noticed others have asked you questions also with no reply. Anyway hope to hear something soon or I'm going to move on as I'm sure others will too. Anyway thanks for your video's.
I try to reply to as many comments as I can, but now I'm getting 60 comments a day, and 12,000 views a day. Lemme go see what your questions were
Gaaah, min-maxing the stats is something I really can't do.
I know, I hate it too
Does Sensai get Wisdom to hit in this version? Maybe they pulled that out or something?
Not yet, I havemt seen that in text format anywhere
2nd level replaces dex and or str to hit no damage
Is it possible to make a finesse monk in this game?
Yes that's Wednesdays build
doesn't the monk get a free feat or feature for his fists? If not you can make them so by taking one.
Monks get unarmed attacks for free, but you would still need weapon finesse for dex attacks
There’s a guy who did a solo finesse monk play through. Got to level 20. Need 3 levels of rogue. My playthrough my main is that and it is so strong and there is so much monk gear I made another lol. One evil one good for the robes.
We need more itemsssss
Why not go Monk at 1st level? That will make you much less squishy.
Because.
Contrary to believe, Monks are shit at the beginning. They don't break the game until later.
@@orarinnsnorrason4614 Monks are tougher at 1st lvl than a Druid melee is IMO
Yeppers
@@tracyallen2854 And how long are you planning to stay at level.1 for it to matter?
..My 2 favorite classes in dnd ... I am only sorry that we need to build them only for "bumbuum" in video games, such a shame such a waist ... nice build thoo!
Im starting to love druids more and more
I have always loved Rogues and I've always loved Wizards
краса чел, спасибо за билд, только попробуй его протестировать на эльфах дикой охоты, а не на бомжам 1 уровня
At low levels... Has no more beard... *Double takes*
Shot some on Friday, shaved and shot the rest Saturday. You win for noticing
successful perception roll
Noticed at the very beginning when the AC 62 was played. John, beard FTW!
Haha perception roll
Its a lovely beard
Do you really enjoy the game like that? ...
Yes
@@ArcaneAgent And what about good stories? .. With the possibility that the characters have a life of their own, desires, desires, beyond getting a +1 more? I mean we lose the perspective of the dramatic game ... Even, the most important challenges in my games are usually investigations that the players themselves have to think about, they are not solved with a skill roll. 30 years of experience playing role-playing, and directing my own game ... you look so young after you shaved.
I'm immortal
18 Int for wisdom caster is kinda cringe
Do a let's play
I shall, what build should I use
you guide is good but its not suitable for soloing, cause later in the game you will be attacked by 20 enemies and they will be rolling 20 at 50 percent of times so ac doesnt help much
But it would be a fun challenge
keep you beard, man.
Haha it grows back fast
ill never use any min.max builds ever....
