- After 3 fun days exploring the Black Hills region of South Dakota, we have started our trek east and first up: Rapid City! We spent the day seeing more presidents, checking out some unique sights from Norway and Berlin, grabbing coffee, seeing art, and eating Indian food. It was a fun little city adventure!

Safety is our #1 priority and we want to stress that this adventure, and all future adventures, will be done responsibly and with the health of others in mind. Here are the steps we are taking everyday, including in these videos:
😷Masks and face coverings. We wear these anytime we are near others outside and especially indoors. If we don’t have a mask on in a video, it’s 99% because there was no one around.
⏰ Exploring early. We normally start at sunrise anyway because of less crowds, but especially so with COVID. We have been starting our days before sunlight so we can limit our interactions.
🧼 Washing and sanitizing our hands, especially after touching anything outside of the van.
🚐 Being in the van 95% of the time when we’re not filming. The adventures we share are a small sliver of our lives. We are staying in the van all day everyday when working and the only time we leave is to do laundry, get gas, or go to the store.
6️⃣ Keeping our distance. We are trying to stay at least 6 ft from others, which truthfully isn’t always possible (and then we make sure we cover our face).
You guys got out early in the morning! I just hit up PureBean and Main Street Square on Saturday. :-D Thank you for showing off the lovely side of our city!
Sooo early haha! It’s brutal, but makes that coffee taste even better 😉
We are so happy you enjoyed it! We loved South Dakota!
I am not sure the locals would want us sharing that lol! But we love finding off the beaten path spots!
How did yall not visit reptile gardens?!!
As as someone born and raised in Rapid. This made me super happy.
Yay we are so glad, thanks for watching! 🥰
Me too :)
I was born in rapid city but moved 3-4 hours away! This is awesome! 🙌🏽💜
Yeah I have lived here all my life and this was really cool
Same man, till CA's ruin it.
I live in Rapid and it's always a delight seeing the city through someone else's perspective.
We really enjoyed your city! 😃
I feel the same!
I live in hill city. Hello neighbor
@@AdventuresofAplusK I'm glad. :)
@@brockdoesyoutubev254 Hey neighbor. :D
This is where I live. Took my prom pics in art alley. It’s cool because you never see the same art twice because it’s constantly being painted over.
I bet those were cool prom pics! We love these mural alleys in cities for that reason-it’ll be a new experience next time!
I have been in rapid city all my life and it makes my day knowing someone is appreciating our amazing city.
Aw yay! We’re glad to hear that! ❤️
I am in SD right now. Best state ever!!
I’m have also been born and raised in Rapid City and this was cool to see what others thought about our “boring” city
We really enjoyed it!
Boring is good in today's world
I never knew how much natural beauty there was in South Dakota until I watched your videos. Thanks for sharing. I would be so bad at guessing the presidents from across the street!
We are so happy to share the beauty with you! And Adam was pretty good at it...me not so much lol! I only knew the super obvious ones haha
Imagine scrolling and seeing your hometown just pop up out of nowhere
Woo! Happy to share your home 😄
It’s not so bad here once you experience all of the things our beautiful hills and lakes have. Happy to see our little happy city brought to light.
We loved it! A very cool and beautiful area!
Rapid City actually is sister cities with Apolda in Germany! The high schools in the area have an exchange student program with Apolda and they have students go and stay at the other city and participate in one of their schools for about two weeks!
Wow that is really cool, we had no idea! 😱
Its mainly box elder thats the sister town. My sister went on that. But box is right outside of rapid.
GuthanNight box elder may be included. I know that we have an Apolda Street in town and they have a Rapid City Straße in Apolda
I am from Apolda! I was in Rapid City in fall 2018. I was amazing ! I love the program.
And we hosted some students from Rapid in summer 2019. It was a great time.
We love Rapid City. There is a store there called Prairies Edge. It is beautiful.
Oooo we will have to check that out next time! Thank you!
So cool to see a travel channel talking about SD...My husband and I visited for the first time this year and LOVED it! Y'all are giving us some great ideas for our trip back!!
We loved SD soooo much! So happy you did too! 🙌🏼❤️
Way back in the day, when I wore a younger man's clothes and I was in the service, I went to Rapid City on a temporary deployment. Unfortunately, I stayed on the base when I was there and never ventured out into the town. I now wish I had. It looks really nice. Thanks for sharing.
We hope you can make it back there someday! Quite a few unique things to do nearby!
I've lived in Rapid my whole life and I love seeing this 🥺
🤗🤗🤗
Planning a trip there in July. Can you recommend Yosemite, Boseman or Billings while there? Or somewhere else?
@@Pinchshot39 honestly Billings isn't anything special itself the area around it is beautiful
I’m from Rapid City and still live here! Love seeing other people’s excitement!
Yay! It was a fun day!
Does everyone dress the same in the area?
Wow, another amazing video, such rich colors that pop out on the screen! I can see this being a weekly show on the Travel Channel! Thank you for taking us along on your adventures,
You’re too kind Ronald, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 🤗
That artwork was beautiful...I’m always so amazed by people’s talent! I loved the craftsmanship of the Norway chapel...just wow! I also was quite impressed with Adam’s knowledge of guessing the presidents! I could have started drooling watching ya’ll eating the yummy Indian food! Rapid City sure is a very cool and diverse place to visit!
The chapel’s architecture was so stunning! And pretty crazy it’s almost all wood! 😱
Very unique and interesting looks at Rapid City, SD! Cool seeing the president statues, the Norwegian church moved there from Norway, and your continuing eating adventures! Definitely looking forward to your Badlands NP visit!
We are glad you enjoyed it! It’s a fun city with so many randomly awesome attractions! We can’t wait to share Badlands too!
Great video! So much fun to watch you experience our city, you two did a great job sharing!
Thank you so much! You have an awesome city! 🙌🏼🤗
Thanks for the great feedback.
Never heard of the chapel place.. ever!! And RC is my hometown.. thanks guys..
I'm going to check it out this summer.
It's beautiful! And the property is very nice too!
Very cool! Love your enthusiasm! Will be staying with our friend in Rapid City so hopefully we'll get to see some of these city sights as well. Enjoying the food part of the vlogs too. Great variety!
I’m sure your friend has tons of awesome spots that us tourists don’t even know about too!
I used to live here and you guys make me miss it! You guys put in so much work and I hope you really are living your best life! Your videos are a wonderful slice of what's out there!
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! We really appreciate it!
Wow! Needed some information on the Rapid city and this is so helpful. Very well done. Thank you! :)
We are so happy to hear that! 🙌
What a cool little town! That chapel was gorgeous and it was interesting to see the statues of the Presidents all around town. Didn't look like a very busy area, maybe it was early but you had the streets to yourselves! Thanks for another great video!!
We got there at sunrise and it was sooo worth it to have the city to ourselves!
Because of COVID, it's definitely not as active, but a year or so ago before COVID, you'd be surprised at how many cars filled the sides of the roads and parking lots in Main Street Square in the summertime, it's almost unbelievable.
I live in Rapid City as well! Thanks for passing through, hope you enjoyed!
We sure did! 🥰
Love Rapid City, thanks guys, so fun!
Thank you so much for watching! 🤗
Well this was fun! My favorite couple comes through again...so many cute moments! The Indian food looked amazing!!! Bring on the Badlands! 😍😃🤗😄😁😆
Yay! So happy you enjoyed it Brad! The food was soooo good!
Glad your exploring includes city sites too plus foods to enjoy, noticed you have a dog you take sometimes be blessed keep safe too.
We love seeing a mix of cities and nature! And yes, we have a pup that travels with us full time named Kona 😃
I love your energy and the fact that you always find positive things to say. Liked and subbed. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks Micheal! We believe there is something great about every place we visit!
Loving your South Dakota vlogs! Looking forward to seeing what you did in the Badlands. We are headed there next weekend so probably won't see the video until after we have been there but it will be fun to compare our experiences to yours!
The Badlands video will be up Thursday, so we hope it can help you before we go! Make sure you do the Notch trail, it was our favorite 😄
Another great example of going somewhere you might not necessarily think of!! Enjoyed 😊🍁
Your curry looked delicious!😊🍁
We love visiting places that we didn’t really think to visit before! The curry was the bomb, we loved it so much!
I live in rapid city so its amazing to see you guys here and having a great time ! I volunteer at the chapel in the hills as well!
Oh no way! That is so cool! What are some of your favorite spots in Rapid City that we should checkout next time?
As many times as we have been to Custer and the badlands, we have never visited Rapid City! Can't believe that! You can be sure the next time we go through the area we will take some time to check it out! Loved the places that you found there and will put them on our list for next time. Thanks!
Rapid City is a cool little city! Loved all of the unique sights they have there!
I hope you guys had a great time up here I know I love it
We absolutely did! We loved it!
Thanks for the video, I am looking forward to what you show us in the Badlands.
Very excited to share the Badlands! 🙌🏼
I had no idea we had a stave church here in America so imagine my amazement when you guys showed that breathtaking view of the Chapel in the Hills. Thanks for sharing!
We are so happy to show you!
Both of you and your Channel are outstanding. Storytelling, videography, audio, music, editing and natural camera presence, without being boring or over the top. Pleasure to watch. Unscripted and educational. Rare to see this combination of skills. I assume this is just a crew of two. But the production quality looks much bigger. Well done. First time watching tonight. I will watch them all now. There is a lot a crap on UA-cam and that’s ok. But your Channel looks professional. Breath of fresh air. Thanks for not wasting my time
Hi Jeff, thank you so much for the kind words! It really means a lot! We try our hardest to make the best videos we can with a mix of education and entertainment. We appreciate you watching!
I don't usually comment on videos, but I want to say THANK YOU to both of you! My boyfriend and I just came across this video a few weeks ago and we've been binge-watching ALL your vlogs since then! We even paused watching the Netflix shows that we've been binge-watching because your vlogs are way more entertaining! :) We are in a long-distance relationship and seeing your travel vlogs give us a lot of hope that someday we can also visit these places together. These are very helpful! THANK YOU!
Thank you sooooo much Irick for commenting, this means the world to us to hear! ❤️ We are so happy y’all enjoy the vlogs and we hope that y’all can travel together soon! Long distance is brutal (we did it at the very beginning of our relationship), but it’s totally worth it. 🥰
AK You're my inspiration! I think I just discovered your channel 2 or 3 weeks ago. I have watched some of your previous videos already and I love it! And I wanna watch more of your videos guys! I got my notification Bell so I am updated of your new vlog! Hello from NC USA!

Thanks David! It was a blast!
Glad you guys are enjoying our city, if you haven’t yet, spring creek trail is hands down one of the best trailheads out here.
Thank you for the tip! 🙌🏼
I absolutely LOVE this series. I live in Minnecrapolis and I have a few days off. I was going to run out to Colorado, but it's just a little too far for the amount of time that I have off, so I think I am going to head out to South Dakota tomorrow for a few days and you have given me SO many great ideas. Thanks!
We are so happy to hear that! SD is soooo beautiful!
Congrats on 30k!!! So cool to see your content getting recognized and growing :)

Lol the hungry horrors! We may have to steal that phrase! 🤣
I went there in 2017. I loved all the presidents. Always enjoy your videos.
They were very fun for us to try to guess!

Good Morning everyone. Beautiful video interesting, inspiring...Thank you very much.

Love watching your recent videos. Our family visited this area in July for six nights. It’s great to revisit some of the same places with you!
That is awesome! What were some of your favorite spots?
Adventures of A plus K We hiked Little Devils Tower and stayed at Sylvan Lake. Loved Custer State Park. Badlands is so amazing - hiked Castle Trail, Notch, Door/Windows. Falls Park in Sioux Falls is cool - and Ingalls Homestead in DeSmet was really fun fir the kids!
Check out our hike to Little Devils Tower ua-cam.com/video/lN-mSavCCj8/v-deo.html
Castle Trail at Badlands will be up soon.
We visited quite a few of those spots and loved them! We didn’t make it to Little Devils Tower it Ingalls Homestead, but will have to next time!
Very cool! I grew up in Rapid. Now I am in Spearfish, Lawrence County.
I live in Rapid City and I think it It’s so cool that you came here! There are not many videos about Rapid City and it is fun to see it from somebody else’s perspective! I have lived here my whole life and I absolutely love it and if you ever come here again I definitely recommend going to a little town called Nemo! I love this video I thought it was so cool
Thank you so much for the kind words Teagan! We are glad you enjoyed the video! We really enjoyed your city and will definitely check out Nemo next time, thank you!
the sculptures are awesome ..🖒🖒
They were super fun to go around and check out! 🙌🏼
That chapel reminds me of Norway in EPCOT! Rapid City looks like a really cute town!
That’s what a few people have said and now we gotta go back to Disney to see it at EPCOT!
OMG my mouth was watering with the Indian food & I could smell that garlic naan🤤 Another great city video guys🤩Who knew SD had so much to offer😃

I live in Rapid City, I brought my bf up from Oklahoma. And my friend and I showed him Rapid City.
What are your favorite spots?
Looks and sounds wonderful 😋
It’s a fun little city!
I was just at the Black Hills area and watched your videos. You guys were our tour guides! We even bought food at Everest Cuisine based on this video. I stopped at the Dignity Statue based on your video too. Without it, I would have driven right by and missed seeing this amazing statue. Keep up the great work!
That is so awesome! We are so glad we could give you some ideas for your trip! Thanks for watching 😃
The alley looks like an up and coming Freak Alley like the one here in Boise, which is always great walking through to see something I missed. Rapid City looks great, will have to add that as a stop when we make it to SD. Now I am hungry for some Indian Food 🍽
We loved Freak Alley in Boise! They definitely were similar! 🙌🏼🎨
Wow was in rapid city for multiple months missed all of these even missed all of the presidents all though was in downtown rapid city multiple times will definitely visit again when there in March!
The president statues are fun to see! Definitely some cool hidden gems in the city!
Chapel in the Hills ..... Amazing 🤩🤩
Isn’t it beautiful?! 😍
I’m from rapid! So glad you like it!

I really enjoyed the video. I recently put the house on the market and moved onto a older Prevost Liberty Coach. When the house is sold, I'll be on the road. I domicile in Box Elder SD, just East of Rapid City. I've been across the state, twice, and love it. Thanks for the video.
Very nice! Congrats on your new adventure!
My hometown! Excellent representation! We’ll have to look up Everest next time we are in town. Come to Aberdeen next!
Thank you so much! Glad we showed it off well 😃
We are sitting at Everest Cuisine right now, waiting on our food. Thanks for the recommendation.

We realllllyyyy want to go there! 😍
I've been watching your videos while being trapped inside here in Portland because of the air quality from the smoke. Thank you for the entertainment! I appreciate you guys very much.
Thank you so much for watching! We are so sad to see how tough it is on the west coast right now. We are thinking of y’all and hope that it gets better soon!
Wow who knew, in SD. Thanks for sharing
SD is so amazing!
I am so glad you guys made this stop makes me homesick but beautiful
❤️❤️ What are some of your favorite spots in Rapid City?
@@AdventuresofAplusK I was born there and spent all my summers and Christmases there till i joined the Army. It is the hidden jems you should see. Like the overlook at the RV campground right outside Rapid city on the 4th of July, the drive through the pigtails heading toward trout haven where all the cabins are, the wildflowers blooming in spring thaw heading out toward Mt Rushmore. But also the museums in Rapid, the Lakota and the journey museum or just walking in storybook island for the memories of the stories told to us as kids
if you head south from there got toward Hot Springs the mountain views are breathtaking
do you also know one of the most haunted hotels is right in downtown Rapid and right off that you will graffiti ally where people can show their artwork. And I love Black hills Bagel kind of biased my brother makes the bagels
Ooo you’re giving us some great ideas for our next trip! Thank you!
I live here! So fun, never get board here. Beautiful place.
What a fun place to live! 🙌🏼
If you are still in Rapid you should go for a drive on skyline drive!
Aw man, we’re not, but we definitely will next time! Thank you so much for the tip!
Next time on your trip you should go take a drive up to dinosaur park! (A little scary, but worth the view when you get up there!) ❤️
Wow, you guys were pretty good at that game. My knowledge of your presidential history is terrible but I think I have an excuse. But if we had similar with our Prime Ministers or Monarch's, I'd fail miserably! I loved the painting that was Adam's favourite too, but I liked how they'd taken inspiration for the orange moons from the cap on whatever that thing was stuck on the wall. Loved seeing a few bits and pieces from Berlin - that city's history fascinates me. I've jumped on our history department's trip taking students over there for the last couple of years (but obviously it's not happening this year) and it's just so mind boggling what happened when the city was divided into two! Can not wait for Badlands next episode, hoping it will bring back very distant memories for me ❤️
Adam was MUCH better at the game than me lol! I used to know a song where you sang all of the president's names in order , but I can't remember it anymore! How cool to take students over there! We have heard that Berlin is such a fun city to visit and we hope to make it out there someday!
I live in rapid right now and you guys have done more stuff than me here already
Hopefully we gave you a couple ideas!
Are you guys planning on stopping in Sioux Falls, SD!!? I’ve lived here all my life and still haven’t heard of most of these attractions! Makes a good list for next time I’m in west river!
We did! That’ll be our final SD vlog in a week and a half! Hopefully we will have done a good job filming your city 🤞🏼
Wow I didn't expect to see those traditional buildings from Norway, historical pieces from Germany and yummy looking food from Everest in SD!! So international! now I have to go to the Trader Joe's and buy some curry. haha. Happy Traveling :)
Dooo it! we need to try to recreate the lamb curry in the van. It was incredible! 😋
Very well-made video! I wish I could've been there to recommend my favorite diner to y'all as you were standing right outside. (Tally's Silver Spoon)
Thank you! And we heard of that spot and it looks super good!

Love that city got a European look to it 👍 the curries looked good I love curry it’s like our McDonald’s here in the U.K. one on every corner lol great job guys 👏👏👏
The best Indian food we have ever had was in London! Sooo good!
