Hey there. I’m wondering how you access the original factory songs? I just got a DX and I can’t figure it out. Can’t find anything in the manual either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Factory stock sequences are on this page www.electrongate.com/dmxfiles/images.html
The manual tells you how to load them via the cassette interface - you may need to mess around to get the level right

hi. are the sounds recorded without processing? with native chips?

Yes that's right - original DX sounds and recorded through the stereo outputs which has some unusual panning (like snare to the left)

this destroys its market value. please delete. because I have one, maybe I'd like to sell it one day. In the meantime, you can get replacement chips for the Alesis HR-16 with that sound, for 40 bucks incl. postage from Italy.
