Hi Jac. To me, an awakened person can try to explain until the cows come home, but an un-awakened person is never going to 'get it'. The mind can never really KNOW anything. It just collects more concepts, thereby widening the gap of separation. I would have liked to hear more about what caused the 'break in the I' you experienced. I think the elephant in the room is that awakening is ultimately in the hands of grace and karma. That's why people have been known to awaken without even being involved in a spiritual practice. Yes, we can prepare the ground, but then we have to let go.

Nick Halloway yes but nick I’m not trying to do anything as yes that would be a doing in itself. I am simply letting go and not trying, it’s spontaneous and even if I occasionally fall out not a trying, or doing , then I am not resisting that as all is happening as it is anyway I guess

A particular thing could not possibly exist in the way in which it apparently does without the totality of ALL that is other than that thing existing in the way in which it all apparently does. This being the case, there can be no REAL destinction between 'a particular thing' and 'all that is other than that thing'. These 'opposites' are not actually different, and so neither one really exists. The same is true of ALL apparent opposites. This means that what I REALLY am is just as much ALL that is experienced to be 'not I' as it is this which is experienced to be 'I'. In truth, 'difference' is not actually real.
