I was surprised to find, upon awakening, that the mind doesn’t suddenly become pure and free.

Implicit bias doesn’t go away, it’s just how the mind functions. Even though I don’t believe my own mental heuristics, I still have to purposely go and adjust them through experience.

Recently I made a trip to Texas, just to expose my mind and nervous system to a culture that I had been holding a bias against.
It’s great fun to seek out such weaknesses in my mind-body. Awakening makes it easy to unravel tangles, but we still have to do the work.

I have been digging deep for 40 years. Looked a lot of shadows in the eyes. Some are still lurking in the corners of the mind but they don't bother me much anymore. The last 5 years I've grown a faith that there's a force in me which will sort it out and it will somehow let me know what's the next step. Can be talking to a friend, have a conversation with myself, meditate on it, read about a subject, watch a video, make a helpful affirmation, put my attention elsewhere, sing a song, let it rest. Whatever suits the moment.
I cant listen to it. Seems like neverending repeating of the same thing over and over. And breaks between words... phrases... I got really tired of listening to this chaos. Sounds to me like a scholary teacher. Plus, this manner: "yesh", instead of "yes", "thatsh" not "that", etc.
Nobody forces you to listen if it's not your cup of tea
