I have been waiting for Harley to come out with this 24 model. I wish it was all the way water cooled. Why wouldn’t we want more power just from cooling. I live in Texas so yes please. Led all around? Yes please. Car play? Yup. Good functions and options yes. And now, I love my 6 day old, whiskey fire street glide. Rinehart exhaust…not too loud, sounds good when I get on it. No ear pro needed. Yes and yes. Love it!!!
At 1:58 you said you were getting winf. Your wind deflector was closed under the windshield on the 24. If you open that deflector and aim it up parallel with the windshield, the wind buffeting almost disappears. I’ve noticed when that is closed, it’s way worse.
Harley has to progress or be totally left behind but with that said I purchased a 2023 because I had a BMW with all the latest electric gadgets and I prefer analog. On the BMW I used sport mode always so the other modes were rarely if ever used. When the electronics go sideways it’s a major deal and I just preferred the older look. It’s really a personal thing and I’m glad that Harley is progressing.
Great review, I enjoyed the blue skies and sunshine lol! I rented a Street Glide when I crossed the pond to ride Route 66 back in 2001 and loved every minute I was on it. The Batwing fairing is much more my taste than the Sharknose.
I just got my first ever BAGGER and Harley Davidson about a month ago. Vivid black Streetglide. Loving it so far, although I have only ridden a chieftain dark horse 116. Only comparison I really have. I’m hoping to get the opportunity to ride a 23 Streetglide , great video sir!
@ Thank you sir! Sadly about to winterize it as I’m from the somewhat great state of Minnesota! But that’ll give me all winter to buy parts haha. Keep up the good content! Ride safe
@@ZhekaSpetz92 I understand that. I am originally from Michigan. Lots of thinking and planning to do in the winter time. Thanks for the comment and support!
Not a problem! I know lots of people are looking at the tech part, and the tech is cool. However, it is the riding part that I am more concerned with, since we are supposed to ride them LOL.
I have a new street glide and the reason why he was getting so much wind. Is if you look at the wind deflector under the windshield, you’ll see that it’s closed. When you open it, and have it aimed up, the wind that comes thru there shoots up and reconnects with the wind coming over the windshield. It drops the wind buffeting way down. When that deflector is closed, you get a lot of wind buffeting. Open it and it goes away. It’s like it works backwards. But I love my new SG way better than the Rushmore bikes. I love those too, but the new ones are definitely a step above.
Nice review. A couple of things are holding me back from a new street glide. The lack of a cigarette plug. I plug a small inverter into it. The windshield. I have a Klok Werks windshield on my 2019 street glide special and a fairing mounted phone mount. I like to tuck my phone up to the windshield to protect it from the elements. I really like that they put the gas cap back in the center of the tank. Now what's holding me back from a 2023 street glide is the gas cap is off to the side
Honestly I feel like Harley is moving towards a more agile bike! And that’s awesome because it seems more focused on light weight materials… a great suspension and overall tactile feel …that to me is the 2024 street glide and road glide…. The 2023 model is more traditional and has the smoother rider … but give me a 2024 in shark skin blue
I agree. Don't really care for the new fairing. The speaker grills look really cheap compared to the 23's. Also don't like the new taillight design compared to the previous year. Even the air filter is uglier. That's why, when the 24's came out, I bought a left-over 23 SGS at a substantial savings.
@@m.f.m.67 Im in the process of doing the same thing. I test rode the 24's and was drastically dissapointed(not saying its a bad bike)I just like the 23's wayyy better. How good of a deal did you get on your sgs? And how do you like that bike so far?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the us army fly the stars and stripes during the genocide of hundred of thousands native Americans, men women and children and stealing of their land??? Than you call the Confederate flag offensive.
I'm in the market for a Streetglide, and I just had a test ride on a 2024. I have a 2008 Rocker, chopper style with 10" over forks and high apes and I want to complement it with a touring bike for longer rides or girlfriend on the back. This was my very first ride on a Streetglide. My only previous experience on a Harley touring chassie was a 2000 Roadking I owned some 20 years ago. But I was not impressed. Bike rides very smooth and handles good, but... the windshield! 😭Absolutely terrible, Im 6'1" and there was so much noise and turbulence around the helmet. Maybe I need to try a taller windshield, but I really don't like that look. And I also prefer some wind, as long as it doesn't cause turbulence on my helmet. I also don't like the riding position. Too upright, and foot plates too close, I had to lift my entire leg to shift. But I guess all this can be fixed with taller handlebars with more pullback, and forward mounted foot plates. Regarding the engine, I was also not that impressed. My moderately tuned 96cui twincam feels more powerful. Sure, the Streetglide is heavier than my Rocker, but still... But maybe it's because of the lack of noise (the 2024 was 100% stock, my Rocker has V&H no baffles whatsoever). You also don't feel the speed in the same way on the newer bike. Maybe I should try the 2023 model? Dealer has new ones in stock with large discount. Looks better also, especially the Special with the stretched bags. But it feels wrong to pay almost the same money for a bike that is much more dated.

Thanks for the comparison of the fairings and wind. Most reviews focus only on the engine or infotainment.

It looks like the 24 has an adjustment for the buffeting issue. I hope so, I’m buying one and I’m 5’9”

KW makes a shield for the 2023 CVO SG and that will fit the 24. The inverter part, not sure how to help with that yet.
Get the electra glide.
I didn’t even notice the missing plug!! That’s big

You never opened the front vent on 2024 to compare to the 2023 head buffering.
I did move it a few times and found the position it was in to be the least amount of turbulence.
The 2024 fairing is ugly. Those blinkers that run down the fairing ruins it. I wish it was the 2023 look with 2024 bells and whistles
