But let’s not forget why the violence got there in the first place. The violence was first, not second so, while locking everybody up that could be a danger to the community, they should also focus on creating opportunities and jobs in these communities. If the youth gets the chance to grow up seeing possitive things happen around them, they are most likely to mirror that behaviour.

City, state, and federal governments aren't playing around anymore with some of the upcoming rap talent (and their crews/gangs) and the music/beef they incite/social media posts they make. I don't want to see any of these guys get locked up or hurt/k!lled, but, I'm also for accountability and taking responsibility for ones actions. And if that means you gotta sit down for a few years (or even worse, some football numbers) then it is what it is. To all my black boys and young black men - we need to re-evaluate our priorities and recognize that there’s more to life than just being a tough guy/gangsta.

I used to work with at-risk kids and in alot of cases they literally dont get the opportunity to learn a new skill or follow their dreams. As soon as they turn 12/13 they are being put to work purely cause the family is struggling that bad to make ends meet. The way you put it its like they choose this path, while in some cases that is indeed true (alot just do it for the clout etc etc), there are families that are actually starving and cant afford for a kid to go practice a hobby instead of bringing in money. I’ve seen it a lot on my previous line of work

Yup , as a Philadelphian this is like the 3rd time that the summer has been looking like the winter time where people don't even come outside anymore due to the fear of senseless gun violence. Just last week an innocent woman was struck and killed by a stray bullet and she was only tryna grill some burgers & dogs on the front porch of a friend's house. The other day a woman who was 7 months pregnant was shot 3 x in her head with a 15 year old male who was killed in the same ordeal in North Philly . Yes , when does it ends?

It's super sad out here , on memorials day a 9 year old little boy and his father was struck and killed by gun fire . And for the most part they're all babies who's out here hurting and killing one another, they'll shoot you and then go and shoot a music video about it with the thoughts of believing that they're gonna be the next big thing in the industry.
