The pianist that introduces them is the legendary David Foster who composed The Prayer and so many other legendary hits.
The event in Las Vegas was built around him and all the performers were invited by him.
He said introducing Lara to another song in the same event : "I’m gonna introduce you to someone…
It’s gonna blow your mind !
Her voice, well, I can only describe it as heavenly.
When she burst onto the scene, we couldn’t believe what we were hearing, it was a voice like from another planet or something!
She made her mark here and then she conquered Europe where she has lived for most of her life.
I’m so fortunate to live in a world of great voices but believe me this voice is at the top of the heap of great voices. (…)
Wait til you hear this woman sing.
    Please welcome … Lara Fabian!"
David is canadian as Lara and he produced her for a rendition of the Canadian National Anthem, probably one of the best ever.
Michael Bolton also is an absolute fan of Lara. He said after this event:
« Lara has recorded with me a duet, The Prayer, that David Foster wrote and produced. She flew in miraculously through Paris, strikes, flights delays and all hours of travel, to arrive just in time to perform with me at the David Foster and Friends event.
Besides being an absolutely beautiful woman and one of the most warmest sincere people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet, Lara has been blessed with a phenomenal voice and spirit that makes her clearly one of the wonders of the world.
She sings from the deeper part of her heart with divine tones, and whenever she wants such power, she takes flight and elevates everyone watching and listening.
Seal and I stuck up to the side of the stage to watch her sing "Caruso" and were both blown away, as was the audience. »

One funny story that did occur at this event and tells a lot about Lara as a beautiful human being:
Michael and Lara had a conversation about their favorite meal and she discovered one of his childhood favorites was an italian dish that she she was used to cook herself. A few minutes later she was cooking it for him backstage 😂

Do you have any idea why Lara and Rick separated as a creative team (2003?)? Is it true that Lara performed Evergreen in Boston without rehearse it?

@@margusmagi6703 They met in May 1990, separated as lovers around 1995 but still worked together for many years. They wrote Tout and Je T'Aime in 1996 about their breakup.
Then they broke professionally on March 17 2003. If I remember well (I am failing to remember exactly so I may be wrong), Lara was exhausted and wanted a break, he wanted to do new songs and concert dates. She declined and he abruptly left her to work a few weeks later with Patrick Bruel, Chimene Badi, Nolwenn Leroy, Julie Zenatti, ...
Lara was left devastated and it took her so much time to get over it. Even in an interview as recent as 2017, she said he was everything for her at that time.
My understanding is that this is no more the case. Thanks surely to her husband Gabriel, and also because Rick had some very childish and egoistic behavior in the recent years.
About Evergreen, I was told so by another fan, who usually has good info about Lara, but I do not have proof about it.
He told me it was Barbra herself that was supposed to sing it there, and that the could not come at the last minute, so Lara, who was at this event to sing For Always with Josh Groban, replaced her at the last minute. So apparently no rehearsal.
Lara is an absolute fan of Barbra, knew it by heart and already had performed this song in the early 90s. So this may be true

@@margusmagi6703 Eric could certainly answer you better than me, but I believe that this was the choice of Rick Allison who felt that he had done the trick with Lara and wanted to reorient his career as a producer with other future Talent. Despite their romantic separation, Lara did not envisage that Rick could leave her professionally. It was a real tear in her professional and friendly life, leading to depression in Lara and a conflict between the two until a reconciliation when Lara's mother died. For the second question about the song Evergreen, that's what he says. Anyway, Lara knows Barbra's repertoire because she has always admired her. There is a video where Lara already sings Evergreen when she was very young. It is possible that John Williams asked him to perform it in Barbra's absence...

oh Angie, I couldn't see that you had this reaction from Mickael and Lara. It was while watching your playlist that I came across it. I'm so glad you did this song. They are all fabulous and for my taste this version is superior to that of Bocelli - Dion, because I find that their voices harmonize much better. This song is truly magnificent. Lara also sang a caruso version at this David Forster show. Mickael who was backstage with Seal was having fun with their smartphone and when Lara started singing, they stopped in surprise and said to each other "But who is she"!? There is also another wonderful duet, it is the one with Josh Groban led by John Williams "For Always" for which here is the link. I hope you do ua-cam.com/video/V4dttmn3ppU/v-deo.html. Be well...

Beautiful. Wonderful job by both artists but especially Lara. Another outstanding song by Lara is her live performance of Calling You in 2003 in Paris. It is a hauntingly beautiful piece.

At this dvd David Forster said " She flew from Russia where she just had a huge concert just few hours ago, she came straight to L.V and she is now here to sing for us. She had no time to resting or rearsheal after 12 hour in an airplane." ;) They also didn't practice together before this love performance. Lara just made it from Moscow (after her concert) directly to L.V and started singing with him. She is so professional and confident.
Did you notice one of the backing vocals claping hands at the ginal note the both made, I mean Lara's modulation at this final note is INSANE, passagio from mixed to head then mixed chest again going higher EFFORTLESS. The and only Lara Fabian as David Forster said.
Ps: She also sang Caruso that night and David himself almost had an orgasm after her performance. Seriously. 😊😅❤

Beautiful singing but could someone remind Michael Bolton that with a duet you usually interact with your partner
