I'm SO happy to see your face and your fibre again *wellllcommmee baaaaaackkkk*! So glad you took the break you needed - please continue to do what's right for you and your family
it's so good to see you and John dyeing and I love the faces he made when explaining his thought process. You guys always make me smile. Thank you for staying true to you and for staying with us, we need you!!! Have a great week, love you!
Trish, I will keep you and your family in my prayers for whatever you stand in need of. I think most of us feel like you are family. Enjoy all the colors in your braids, your honey has a good eye for color :).
Sending prays, meditations and hugs for you and the Famalam. So good to see you back and pick the schedule that keeps you sane- we can all wait. Thanks for sharing all you do youre inspiring my fibre journey. Take care lovely xx
Welcome back! Your creative process is always wonderful to watch! Taking care of loved ones, and yourself, should always come first. Thinking of you through this tough time ❤
Sooooooo happy to see you back!! I had checked quite a few times over the summer and was quite worried and bummed to not see you prior checks. I started spinning, dyeing and weaving all since March this year and you taught me so much regarding dyeing! I live it, am obsessed 😂 and am delighted to see you again. Pace yourself, be with family as you need and I’m sending you lots of good energy and prayers!❤️🙏🏼🙌🏼
When you were talking about how John and you are different with the citric acid, it made me think of a poster in my high school chemistry class that said " Do as you Otter, always add acid to water." Love the dog sweater colors and hugs
So glad to see you back - first and foremost Take care of yourself and your family!!!! You look and sound refreshed. Good on you to put yourself first.
The break obviously did you good! Left home at the end of a rainy spring and returned to a rainy fall. My time away was so hot, it wasn't overly enjoyable to be outside so I'm feeling like I was cheated out of a summer, tbh! I love seeing y'all dye and Love that John can explore a different side of his creativity. Much love to you and to your family at a trying time. ALL the good juju your way... 💌💌
Oh Trish! It is so very good to see you and hear you! It is a gift that you share your process with us partly because of the content/process but a lot because you shine through in such a genuine way. I personally think that running a youtube channel and business would be overwhelming. It's such a different and more interactive way to advertise, so much more personal. So hard to figure out what the boundaries are especially for someone who does not want to hurt anyone's feeling. My love goes out to you as you and your family navigate the transition I believe you were referring to. Oh, and I am not at all surprised at the decision you've made about your business prices. If all businesses were run the way you do yours, this world would be a much better place! A little less profit and a lot more love.
Thank you so much. I suspect you are correct about the transition that's coming. I'm watching so many businesses close that haven't considered the option of s scaling back in some way first. I want to stay here! ❤️
So glad you’re back! I missed you. I’m with you on the family stuff. You’ve got the prayers. Life happens. I enjoyed spinning the Sinister Mermaid Jacob. I think of you when I see the yarn. Love to you and yours.
so happy to see you here and feeling better... so weird to care for people you don'tactually know... but those are the times... thanks for the dye love...❤
I am so happy you're back. I missed you. Life has been tough here, too, unfortunately. Recovering from a heart attack, I really could use some great videos to help with recovery, and you always do that. Thank you so much, and I wish you strength and lots of good energy. Greetings from the Netherlands.
You are amazing! I am always fascinated by the dying - I have been playing with dying yarn but have not branched into fiber hat. I am glad to hear you won’t be one of the shops we lose. It’s so sad to see them closing!
So lovely to see you both again sending healing thoughts to and yours. I hope they get there and help. Love you both, and sending big hugs to as a hug can help for lots of things xx
Trish, you have such a beautiful heart. I am in Canada and shipping is silly but I am more than happy to spend k money on you! Thank you for thinking of us!
Trish, I am sending healing, protective energy to you and your family! I’m so happy you took the time you needed and am even more happy that you’re doing what you need to keep yourself well. I missed you and was so excited to see you start to come back. You’re amazing! ❤❤❤
from Gerry- What you're doing with pricing is a beautiful thing. I know your kindness will come back on you 100 fold! Blessings. Thanks for another great video.
Definitely not forgotten. Glad you took the time you needed and glad you decided to come back. I just finished spinning the singles of Creeper, which is a lovely blues/browns/greys you did a few months ago - absolutely lovely and I'm looking forward to seeing it plied up.
I so enjoyed this video, Trish. You and John are so inspiring!! I want to get my dyes out now!! I hope things soon get easier for you and all your family. Life can be hard and I just care about you😊
Hey Trish, I just started watching your videos this year but I’ve been trying to get into spinning for several years now. I finally decided to buy my first wheel. I just finished assembling my Kromski Symphony and I’m so excited to break into some cheviot I’ve had in my stash for a while now. I’m excited to maybe spin along to a live sometime. I just wanted to let you know that every time you say I love you in a video it really feels like you mean it, and it means a lot!
I love and appreciate all that you do. I pulled out my Rigid Heddle loom. It had been years. I needed videos and ran across yours. Because of you, my sister and I want to learn to spin wool, so we are working our local Farmer's Market so we can hopefully earn enough to buy a spinning wheel. Blessings and prayers--happiness and hugs sent your way!
Omg! So happy to see you!!!! You look amazing!! ❤🎉 You do you babe!! Just seeing you is wonderful. I hope things go well with your dad! Love to see your different creative processes! Gorgeous colors!!
Some reds and pinks are a pain in the butt to get to exhaust. Troll gave me an idea for my blue's not striking. Add salt. It worked for me so it might be something you try for that one dye. I measured it with my heart.
Well heck, I’m definitely going to the shop now! Not that I wasn’t anyway. 😁 I have done a lot of the same thing with FCF. I raised my prices a little bit, probably about a year ago, but that was because I noticed that my prices were way under everybody else’s at festivals and I think I may have been selling myself short. Now I think my prices are still lower than other people’s but they’re competitive instead of “fire sale”. I want to keep doing this stuff to. Even if it never replaces my day job.❤
OMG that fiber you two are holding in the thumbnail screams rainbow sherbet. (I see now it's the Mums one-LOVE it) How did the sourdough do!?!? Oh dang, 60's. That was hubs normal plus hours before he retired, feel for you guys on that front. I checked out the pattern, that's a posh pup sweater lol :) Looks fun. Is playing around with the reactive dyes pretty fun and cool? Looks pretty interesting.
Thank you Trish for sharing this. I have about 15-20 bags of old fleece & Llama wool I need/want to clean/dye and was wondering if I could just dye them after I had cleaned/carded them into rolags (as opposed to spinning them 1st) I see you're using unspun wool here in your trays - so yay :)
You really can dye at any stage, but I prefer to dye it after it is washed, but before I card. You can even dye the while they're still wet from washing. Here's a link to a VERY old video where I did this. You can fast forward to 10:09 ua-cam.com/video/a5c4P7vUFY8/v-deo.htmlsi=_c7TirjW2SpxBDr2

I only announced what was going on in the Facebook group, so I apologize. Welcome! I'm definitely back, just with a very haphazard schedule for now.
Wonderful to see you both work through your ideas in the dye studio. Thank you for everything you do.
When you were talking about how John and you are different with the citric acid, it made me think of a poster in my high school chemistry class that said " Do as you Otter, always add acid to water." Love the dog sweater colors and hugs
That can cause an exothermic reaction if the acid is in liquid form, so it's true. It could be dangerous 😳
Trish, take all the time you need.just love the colours of the braids.

Have you considered doing a fiber of the month club? I’m sure you have and you have your reasons but I would definitely support a club!
I have considered it, but the old imposter syndrome always kicks in. Maybe I need to revisit the idea.
A fiber Advent would be fun 😁
Yes, an advent would be a great way to test the waters without a monthly/quarterly commitment on Trisha’s part! Great idea!
I love the idea of an advent! I’ve never done one, but I’m sure it would be super easy for you to throw together! 🤣🤣
I love the idea of an advent. Those are so labor intensive, she may not have the time and energy to commit to such a huge project.
Trish your a legend Thank you
P.S. I’m loving your hair ❤
Sending you hugs from the UK 😍😍

Thinking about getting a spinning wheel… which fibers in your shop would you recommend.
Family first always ❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤
i think you will get more people with lesser prices which will raise your profits!!! ❤🎉
