BRING IT ON YOU TETRIS GOD DEMON!
Should I explain Tetris...
eh screw it.
Tetris A (00:21)
Aiming for the score of 999999 that's basically it.
Tetris B (15:52)
"Large Coffee Vomit" was the choice BlueMaxima.
Originally it was "large chunky bucket of coffee vomit"
Only realised that I could only 3 line it.
BlueMax told me "Chunky Coffee Vomit"... but I already did Large Coffee so it was late.
Any-ways enjoy this Longplay. -

What a coincidence, I was listening to the Tetris NES soundtrack when I was moving out of my flat two days ago. It really helped me fit all my stuff into the van!
@Latios’ Channel nope, a flat is a type of house lol
@Latios’ Channel LMFAO WHO TOLD YOU THIS
@The Latios Channel have you heard of the flats?
Is it A type, B Type, or C Type?

Those colour schemes will stay with me forever
But boy, there are a few I don't like. San Francisco Giants red and black? Portland Timbers greens? Christmas pink and green? (Even though I'm a non-practicing Protestant and Christmas is coming up as I write this.) New York Mets blue and orange? Vancouver Whitecaps blues? And I know this game was Soviet-made, but come on. USSR red and gold? The only one I like here is Seattle Mariners blue and green.

26:27 That's so nice to see here Link, Samus, Donkey Kong, Pit and Bowser playing on musical instruments while Mario brothers are dancing. So cool!
I remember watching my father play this Tetris on a real NES. Remains the greatest puzzle series ever.
Who trying to steal allahs throne?
They didn't give us a chance to have that equal! With that this game would be amazing! Lack of game's, more of what was needed
4:58 goes so well with the music
Lol if you say so
@@godisgood1359 man whats your problem
Even the Nintendo got confused when the levels went that high. It’s telling you this is uncharted territory
if you get over 9,999,999 score it starts replacing the first digit with letters like 20mil would be B000000
once you run through all the letters it switches to . and comma and other symbols before eventually going black and the pieces themselves being in the score
@@lukeguo3966 Actually that’s game genie code also 1.6m it’s called a rollover where the 1st digits becomes 0 again
@@lukeguo3966 actually it stays at 999999 unless you use the game genie code used in tournaments
I'm just glad to find out that OJ really didn't do it!

This game never gets old. Long live the king.
You might have somthing there! Minus the vehical that could be part of the resolve! Interesting!
Viewers in 2014: Very obviously TAS, you're scoring tetrises on the killscreen
Viewers in 2022: Yeah I saw EricICX do this on stream it's no biggie
In 2014 barely anyone had gotten to level 30 let alone level
157
This was my mom's FAVORITE NES game of all time.
My mother's too. There isn't much to her tho
I like this version of tetris more than the Tengen and the gameboy edition. The colours, the BGM, the SFX ... I believe it's my all time favourite Tetris.
I have the gameboy version! And I might add the B music is *Exactly* the same there as in the NES version. Plus the Type A music is better in GameBoy version
@@Alysa-Aiday I disagree. How can you not get down and funky with Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies?
I like Tengen Tetris best.
@iLoveJackingOn depends on the competition. Obviously some use the NES version, but a lot of competitions dislike it because it's not equally random. You could get really lucky and get a good order of pieces. The modern tetris games use a random piece generator that is always fair to all competitors and you'll always get every single piece before you get a repeat. So the competitions based on those are fair to all competitors. You can never know if someone is truly the best tetris player in the world when they may have only won because of lucky RNG.
@@duffman18 But the Classic Tetris World Championship, based on the NES version, plays with hacked cartridges that give both players the same piece sequences in the head-to-head, so that's not as much of an issue.
This channel has really allowed me to learn more about so many games, and helps me decide which games I want to play for myself!! Thanks (:

Song: Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy by Tchaikovsky.
World of Longplays, you're a rising star on UA-cam
This was any of the puzzle games I played on the NES at my late grandmothers in the early 2000's, from 2002 to 2003, and I will playing it again soon one day, when I repurchase another NES. I will always that game memories.
Boom! Tetris from Spikestuff!
If you didn't already know, the song is "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies" by Tchaiskovsky.
The Peashooter Pikachu yes I learned that at school
The Peashooter 64! I heard this on a band at my school
Seems to be a mainstay with Tetris. I think this is my favorite version of the song now, mainly due to the sped-up portion.
Yeah from "The Nutcracker"
I thought it was 7 rings by A G
Whew ok. I wasn't sure for a while if this was a tool assist until level 29. Spikey nailed it. I love watching tas.
Only the B-type game is technically "winnable". The A-type game was originally believed to be nearly unplayable at level 19(!) speeds when Tetris first came out. That's why the game maintains this speed clear through level 28. Thor Aackerlund was possibly the first to reach level 30, according to his testimony based on his expertise in easily winning the 1990 NES Championship by excelling at Tetris (whose points were the most valuable of the selection of games you were tasked with completing). Now, we have a rapidly growing list of pros who have reached level 30 (and even beyond!).
a 15 year old got to level 235 of this game with 16m score (Spec) Breaking world record and the score bounty
Little story about Tetris and myself: in Spring of 2016 me an my brother just got our hands on the NES and of course we got Tetris. Then in April Inhad my final Exam for math. Before I went to school I played a game of Tetris. Then I got to my exam and guess what, 4 of the questions were about Tetris blocks.
Im not making this up I swear!
Damn
Thank you. I was trying to remember the music that accompanied the original game. I can sleep now Thank you
It's totally cool that Kid Icarus, Link, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Peach, Mario and Luigi are in the game after succeed. So cool cameos!
How in the name of Dr. Mario can you stay so calm and in-control when the blocks start falling at such high speeds? I can never keep my cool whenever that happens...
I don't even know
I'm always calm when playing Tetris. Unless I end up doing something stupid. I did something stupid during this longplay so I sat forward so I could fix it as soon as I possibly can. When it was fixed I went back to being calm. :3
***** Amazing. I like to play some Tetris when I get home from work. Highest level for me is 13. Great vid bro.
chuckobscure someones smart
Check the 24th word you said
I've never been good at this game. At the beginning of the video when he kept building the blocks higher and higher I started yelling at the screen...and then I saw the genius of what he was doing...
It only means that this wasn't your game
Yeah, feeling bad for corporate buisness when I wasn't that mean! Should have seen better! I guess that was my start, all about right!
Tetris is okay, but I like Pac-Attack, Puyo Puyo, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and Kirby's Avalanche.
My earliest days in gaming involved watching my mom play Tetris and Mario.
What's with those inhuman tetris skills O_O
The video description does say it's played by someone though
Guilherme Cardoso after level 29 It's impossible to move the pieces correctly
Tell that to Thor Ackerlund. I believe He'll say different.
No, he was just lucky. This is not possible. 90 lines after kill screen vs 10 lines after kill screen
They used tools to make it a lot easier, like using a speed hack, but obviously they already had some skill.
America: Tertis was made by Russia, has Russian style music, and teaches you to fall in line
Soviet: Or it teaches you that everyone is different but if we work together we can accomplish great things. Tetris is the most successful video game ever made
Aww, what memories. I played this ad nauseum in the 90s. One of my favorites and best-ever games. Never made it this far though. This is impressive!
This seems TASed. There were many moments where no human could possibly react properly. It’s incredibly scummy to not mention TAS anywhere.
Scummy? Who in their right mind would ever not realize this isn't a human playing? You'd have to be a 4-year-old with a chunk of your brain missing.
@@isetmfriendsofire Or just not understand the mechanics of NES Tetris...
@@isetmfriendsofire Longplays are presented as if they were not TAS. It's proper etiquette to call a TAS video just that.
BlackDot Guys, I think it was a joke.

Maybe it's because I was such a little kid at the time, but the NES just seems so magical.
To this day one of my all time favorite memories was beating 9-5 in Tetris!
Just gonna say that i come here because i have seen an traumatic
scene and Tetris can make you forget an traumatic scene

I have this Tetris game is from 1989 and the NES console is from 1985. I like this version better than the Game Boy version.
What a clear out...8:58...awesome job! Then to start level 19 so high...should be playing in the CTWC. Holla!
I've seen better
I really think this is the number one Tetris game ever!
Samus playing a cello. XD
This is clearly tool assisted.
Yeah.
Well, duh!
Well not anymore...
Congratulations you are super Tetris master!!!!!!!
This game has brought me back so many memories of playing Tetris because every level I've tried to pass were tough but much enjoyable! 🕹️🕹️
26:25 for the nintendo dance party
Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is Music 1. I don't know the other two. The music speeds up when it is close to game over.
This is my best NES game after Super Mario Bros. 3. Amazing!
Surprised 3 is your favorite! 1 is great of course 2 is good and 3 is pretty good. Tetris is great too. Love the NES!
Mario Bros 1985 is still good too!
This is really impressive, dude. Wish I had your skill. I mean, I can hold my own in competitive, but I haven't seen blocks fall like this before.
lol I never knew there was an end to the game and a final screen with Nintendo characters...that's awesome.

Try to press SELECT so long until that stone is not further on movable: In Typ A and/or Typ B different what happes. I am an old Gamer and found that out. German Version: maybe trick is not in ntsc-version.

D-pad: Rotate/Move
A button: Drop
The music and sound effects here are very similar to the great NES RPG "Mother" ("Earthbound's" predecessor).
Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka did the music for both games. That is why.
Vahan Nisanian all he did for this game is make 8-bit versions of public domain songs.
Tyler Robison Same with the Gameboy version as well I think.

For some reason I remembered this music being slower at first. Huh.
My dad played this all the time as a kid. Very nostalgic. Along with Dr. Mario.
That's because your TV used PAL, which ran at 50hz, while NTSC ran at 60hz.
This game rocked my world.
This was my Tetris. I never had a Game Boy
This NES version is coming back thanks to Nintendo Switch Online this winter, either late 2024 or early 2025! Announced in today’s Nintendo Partner Direct! 🎉😊

There is never enough Tetris.
you mean tas'ed by spikestuff. not played. this is not possible.
I always longed for the rod because it is most effective in demolition
100% tool-assisted. The highest level ever reached was "level 30" (although it resets back to 00 at this point) by Thor Aackerlund. Watch the documentary "Ecstasy of Order."
Strivinity Sursprisingly this was actually played by a human person!
It was playes by "Spikestuff" since it says in the description.
Boom tetris for the world of longplays! Used in classic Tetris championship
God, I love that sound, when you get knock off *4 ROWS!* 🌟
NES Tetris fun fact: If you alphabetize the tetrominos, it spells I J L O S T Z which I code as "I Just Lostz" The z doesn't really affect anything though.
Epic gameplay!
12:56 Integer overflow of levels. Proof of madness.
Fun fact: The TETRIS NES in Japan was actually illegal due to it not being approved by ELORG yet since they didn't get the rights for TETRIS.
So essentially, the A-type game is the iconic endless survival mode, while the B-type game is closer to the Atari arcade version? Never knew that.
You got great skills.
Technically I never tout that this game is a hardware pusher, yes it is, as soon you put those sprite blocks down, the mmc1 chip inside this game will then quickly swaps that sprite block with a tile background version of it because the nes is not capable to view a wall of sprites on screen so the mmc1 has to do this to get around this limitation,
it’s a pretty clever technic.
Just mind blowing.
Ya you gotta have great skills to do a TAS
Tool-Assisted, it is inhumanly impossible to retain that stamina and reflexes THAT far pass the killscreen and getting Tetrises.
unless you're cheez
@@threestwos hey gamer
TAS? it gotta be... this is impossible to tap and react that fast...
I thought of this while facing the prospect of fitting all the Thanksgiving leftovers and holiday groceries in the fridge, freezer and pantry in the coming days and weeks.
Happy anniversary to mine and the whole world's 1st puzzle game on a game system.🎉
In 2016 I played this on a new gameboy it was the only game I could play... It had 93 or more tetris and space games but it was 2 games to be honest....this was my childhood favorite
i cant believe nintendo replaced this on the switch with docter mario
This is why I'll never understand recent news reports of some kid "completing Tetris for the first time ever".
LOL. By what metric? Causing the game to crash?
Damn! 389 Lines! I couldn't even hit 200. You sir are a pro. In fact, you're so good that you actually glitched the Level number.
francis t lopaz I’m sorry to break it to you but he used a Tool Assisted Speedrun Bot (known as TASbot). He basically cheated and didn’t announce it. It perfectly fine to use TASbot because it’s very cool. But not informing others is the really dirty part of this vid
Yeah, It isn't Korobeiniki but still a Russian song? And it's also more of a "falling" theme which fits it.
2:27 holy cow how long were you waiting for that I?
I like the single bar clear sound effect better than the Tetris clear sound effect

Oh the nostalgy. Thank you! :)
Tetris is this way that every 10 Lines the difficulty get one higher. That means 100 Lines is level 10. And every level the speed gots higher. On Game Boy I have made 201 lines and was level 20. And on NES I have had 140 lines or so or 168 lines: I played nearly only on Game Boy.
Yup. looks like this is a tool assisted run. Could tell from when it hit lvl 19, only explanation would be the player is a hyper tapper ( and a master at it) but the fact it was still going extremely consistent after 29 (most peoples kill screen) just screams tas.
WOW SPIKE IS AMAZING
