This last step to put the wire into the hole can a minute, a hour, a day, a week, or even a month. Can't believe there is no tool to make this step easier and reliable.

I feel your pain, but I think I just realized a mistake I was making from watching this video. I was using a wire cutter to snip the ribbon I was using before trying to thread the tool, but I think that smooshed the end of the ribbon so that it was too wide for the hole. I'm going to try again tomorrow by pulling the ribbon until it breaks like they show in the video here, in hopes that it pulls the ribbon thinner so that it will fit more easily into the hole.

Dear QH, sometimes the wedge is clogged, making threading wire near to impossible.
Did you try cleaning your tool or change it all together?

for wire bonding you need always a Bonding tool,
Bonding tool can be a Wedge Tool or a Ceramic Capillary
