HI
Feral mobile is now available on the apple and android app store!
I'm not I just tarted playing the game.
started I meant LOL
i saw an ad for the game and it made me really curious! Sort of researching as much as I can, and maybe I'll give it a try later today. It's really different from anything I've ever played before. I'm in between MMOs right now..and the games I'm most excited for are in the distant future. So I am looking for something to keep me occupied. Maybe this could be it??
I haven't been able to find it in the play store on android. Anyone else have this problem?
Do you have to pay for feral?
The biggest issue to me that it’s practically impossible to get any of the avatars aside from the starters, just like Animal Jam and Play Wild. I was looking forward to customization but having avatars locked behind a paywall just killed my interest.
It’s so annoying. The game isn’t even done, we literally only have 2 free avatars, and they’re making us pay.
I haven't downloaded it because it seems like the only creatures available to play as aren't what I want. I don't want to run around as a fox when I'd like to be something more equine or goatlike... Like this game pitches itself as letting you make whatever creature you want... I was expecting it to be more freeform and let you make ANY kind of creature you want, not to have to pick a species and edit it from there. I guess something like spore but not quite as lawless xD Until that changes or there's a reasonable way to get some kind of equine body through like a one time payment and i don't have to like work very hard completing some quest or something as an animal i don't like... I'm not going to pick it up. It looks very beautiful, but the whole thing they're pitching themselves on seems to be a lie so far.
@@mynamo12 also yeah that true btw what about ppl telling how rare. Or etc how are we supposed to know what item is fair yeah I stop playing that game also bruh for that much I get money and spend on real thing then games XD
Exactly
I agree with everyone and i never knew that you had to pay for avatars, there were two I wanted but it’s hard for me to earn star points
haven't played fer.al in months since the season passes came out and wildworks was already putting most of the new content behind paywalls. It may be trivial, but most of what i was looking forward to was in-depth crafting and cool animal avatars. It just felt more like animal jam with a new coat of paint than i was hoping for
oof true. I cant even get my two favorite mythicals (dragons and werewolves)
Exactly this for me. I was really looking forward to this game, mostly because they initially had us under the impression that it wouldn't be as pay-to-play as animal jam. In fact, once the updates rolled in and I found out I couldn't get the avatar I was really excited to get (dragons) without paying up, I ditched the game right then and there. I was really disheartened and discouraged and I could see where the game was heading at such an early point. Was really disappointed.
The music make me sick so I don't play lots I play league of legends more
I was also dissapointed with how simple the crafting turned out
@@magipup7698
I was hopeing for minecraft style crafting lol
I dont think its a trading game its so fun in millions of ways like the rarity system in aj ruined the game and brough scammers, we dont need a conplex rarity system like aj its not much fair i think the quests and games and missions in feral are great
* me, an ex aj scammer * *thats the best part*
@@ladylark10884 lmao scamming little kids was amazing.
they were so oblivious. for me its survival of the fittest on an animal based game
h e l l o
Dude, scammers are in every single game. It's only a scammer if you fall for it. I'm not encouraging scams but you cant do nothing about it but be smart and avoid it
I quit because I eventualy burnt out, it was mentally draining repeating the same things over and over. I really did want to enjoy this game but with the lack of things to do it weighs you down. Opening chests, doing mediocre quests and grinding is all the game really offers. I just can't handle the cycle of constant grinding when theres a lack of enjoyment when doing so it's just too repetitive with nothing new and exciting to add.
Feral needs to add enemys, real enemys in the world and a challenge and life, something to get fun, and not just farm items to craft
oh my gosh yes and not just the spear one
@@Aspen-Animations spawn enemys!
@@simphonystrashcan9232

Yes I agree!
Witches? Ghouls? Maybe even some objects!
I dont know anyone who's quit Fer.al.
*This may be because I don't know anyone who plays it in the first place.*
Ahh I relate ;w;
based moment
Me who just joined fer.al : wait you guys are leaving?
Same
Same I just started today lol
same haha
I am one of those people that may never quit Fer.al, as you said the game is new and it's also such an immersive experience. Like most people though, I have zero time to play it because of school. My only problem with the game is the fact that Wildworks is making Fer.al into another AJ, where you HAVE to have money in your pockets to enjoy the full experience. While I understand that Wildworks needs money in their pockets as well, I think that they should bring old season things back for free. For example, the Jackalope was an avatar from the first season pass. If they could bring it back a year or so later for free (no actual money), it would be AMAZING! What I mean is, they could bring back the avatar for a really expensive amount of likes, so people who can't pay, can also get these avatars. If they bring it back when it's almost a year or so old, it's basically going to be out of style, so what's the problem with bringing it back. The thing I enjoy the most about Fer.al is the freedom to artistically express yourself in any way you want, and having only two avatars can really hinder that.
They have stated they will be brining back old season pass things ( non item related ) such as the Jackalope or the Sunken Thicket Sanctuary etc
couldnt agree more i want to make and save more designs so more avatars and look slot would REALLy enrich my play time as well
They should pull off a Destiny and make Star Fragments be earned through quests and just make the season pass be worth money. Then they should make the Season pass character either free or add two so one can be free and the other for the pass. Change the Season pass where it runs on XP so it won't be such a grind then add more body mods to be purchased for Star Fragments.
@@ms.chomper5024 You can get enough for 1 season pass from grinding the levels ( from what ik )
@@TheStarbucksGuy The amount you get is too low and I just started playing
I don't think I really QUIT, but like your reasons, I am busy with school.
But since teenagers are more busy, school + grinding isn't a good equation.
I'm playing another game more often since it's personally more interesting and has more things to do. But then again, feral is not released so...but WW was smart to start releasing it on mobile, since people use cellphones a lot.
(P.S. the game I play is Genshin Impact if you're interested)
Is it on pc or mobile?
@@mynamo12 both now
I keep taking breaks from Fer.al because
A. Trading has always been and always will be boring and it would always develop into something annoying at the very least when it comes to a social game, I play games to escape the social pressures of late stage capitalism not relive it
B. It's way too hard to get even just basic items to decorate my den and characters without using the season pass
C. The unpaid season pass has too little items
D. The goals for unpaid season pass are few and far between so I don't feel like I'm accomplishing anything doing it
E. I can only ask for the season passes oh so many times before my dad will get annoyed
MY PROPOSED SOLUTIONS FOR THIS ISSUE:
1. some kind of "pvp" where ypy can earn rewards winning contests against other players this could be like fashion contests or feats of logical skill
2. In-game "social media" where you build up social cred over time by probably visiting a certain area and posting selfies of your outfits for people to look at and people can visit in their free time.
3. Split the season pass into two seperate season passes (unpaid and paid) unpaid being the "base" of the season pass and the paid version adding more items ontop of it.
I feel like the developers purposefully tried their best to stop fer.al from being focused on trading, especially with the newer updates that make things focus more on exploring each of the lands and doing quests. I don't really think that people are "quitting" either, as much as interest to play consistently was lost over time. fer.al initially attracted a very specific demographic, and most of those people have other things going on and other interests
Why players leave Fer.al:
1. Season Pass
2. Takes a lot of time to do the tasks and find ingredients
3. No adventures and no parties
4. Many scammers
5. Almost all animals are for cash or star fragments
I was excited when I saw Season Pass, but it's completely USELESS, because it doesn't matter if you do these tasks, you won't get the rewards, which you supposed to get. I couldn't get anything from Season Pass because I don't have that stupid Pass. All new animals and Season Pass stuff are for Star Fragments and Star Fragments cost real MONEY.
I quit because it started to being boring, and then I found Genshin Impact. I'm so addicted...
LMAO I GOT GESHIN IMPACT BUDDIESSSS
Think about it, peaple quit in beta ajpw and aj,
I mean you gotta take into consideration that it's still in its beta stages. It's only a year old (publicly) after all. Also genshin impact is so addicting lol. I do agree feral is boring but I don't quit just because of that. Feral has such a great community, I always get stuck talking to people when I planned on leveling up lol.
Sure Genshin impact is legendary, but I see why you think Fer.al can get a bit boring...but they have added some cool updates so far to make the game more interesting and they’ll be adding more to make it even better ^^
AYYYYYY!
I am a World of Warcraft player. Grinding is just second nature for me to keep up with the gear curve. I mainly quit Feral because none of my friends would play it with me. I really like Feral. Its just hard to play when all your friends dont.
U can always make new friends..
Ooo I play WoW too, I also have no friends :,)
That’s a shitty excuse tbh. Not a single one of my friends even play video games, yet that doesn’t stop me from playing them all. That’s why you’re supposed to make new ONLINE friends.
@@the_real_tabby wat are you into to
WoW player here, I honestly thought this was gonna be like a cross between that game and Animal Jam lol.
I think it’s just how they are slowly putting updates out that don’t impact it much. However, once the game fully releases and makes its way out of open beta, I feel the game will get more of a player base and advertising to it once it is fully out to the public. I do feel like it has a strong player base that definitely supports the game enough to keep it going.
Theres just more entertaining things to do, it gets boring and once you've explored all the areas and have done the quests all you have left is to grind. I really want something like adventures from animal jam, where you can work with other people to get something done. More lore. New areas. Buuut don't come at me I know this game is early access and when its fully released there will be more to do but getting updates every 2 months isn't fun, especially when the prizes and new additions aren't special or interesting.
I literally just found out about this game. Bummer. Still gon try it though.
same here lmk if you want to play
I came from animal jam to fer.al, I was really interested when I heard that there would be a "bidding house" in fer.al. I thought that a mechanic like that would really help keep a consistent economy in fer.al. I used to enjoy trading a lot in animal jam, so I was curious to see how fer.al would expand on the trading. Maybe there could be a currency, likes, that could be traded to each other so that people can keep up with worth? But instead I feel like the trading in this game is lackluster and very boring, and they eliminated currency entirely by not letting players trade more than 99 resources at a time. Plus, fer.al allows for scamming to happen and tells other people that they are not allowed to expose scammers. I was quite frankly disappointed in fer.al for that reason.
The other reason is that the game honestly feels so incomplete. Instead of adding new features, Fer.al expects you to just play their 3 minigames over and over, and there has never been any new areas been added to fer.al either. There's really nothing all too fun about playing fer.al.
But I will say, roleplaying is very fun :]
Uh, that's why it's in beta
The scammers in fer.al get a lot smarter due to the age for the game 😔
@@Amingus782 and due to the age the 'victums,' are not gullible as little kids therefore they are mature
It is in early access because the game is technically still unfinished (aka bug fixes and other requests for change in game)
@@galacticlouds155 too bad beta will never be completed, they never cared about the game.
maybe on summer time it will spike up again or even on december since a lot of players arent busy at that time and will most likey play more.
In my case I just keep going into a Wildworks craze every month and then I drop out for the rest of said month. I dunno if that's my neurodivergent brain doing the work or if I'm just weird like that. Aside from that, I guess it's also the fact that so many things require grinding and/or trading and that's rather annoying. I just want those Pilfermite items... 😔
I've been wanting to play recently but it doesn't seem like the game even WANTS to open.
I’m like that too. I get obsessed with the game for a short period then completely abandon it. Rinse and repeat.
uh thanks for 10 thousand views😳
By the way...
1. Feral said it was going to be released on the jan 29 in the appstore, but it wasn't released on the 29th because mobile is still in beta.
2. Last month there were a lot of glitches
3. Thank you all for commenting! I liked reading everyones experiences with feral. I hope we get some big update to save feral. at the moment theres not much gameplay except grinding and minigames.
OH THATS WHY IT WAS REMOVED! I was so excited :((
I just now got the game
There’s actually more glitches now I think
I’m not apart of the animal jam fandom but I am a furry and interested in mythology I don’t like the trading at all I just wish it had no trading or items to buy or mini games I wish it was just an adventure roleplaying site with each new update brings a new world! I want to play with friends and explore worlds the trading and buying items just brings people on the game just to be better than others
I just want a furry site where I can have my sona run around with my friends sonas dang it!
Edit: forgot to mention quests! I like the quests and I like the missions I just don’t like items being in the game period :/
Game items are always better when you can get them when ever
PandaPandap yeah as long as you don’t have to pay for them or earn them
@@Tadpole_Plyrr2 I like when you earn them if it's an event item
PandaPandap then everyone will just pick on you because you don’t have it and they do
Items make me want to quit games because of people trying to be better than others rarity systems make me sick and that’s why AJ sucks tbh scammers are everywhere just for pixels and it’s stupid imo
I disagree. I like working for my items. If everything was handed on a silver platter, it would become boring.
Are a lot of people you know quitting feral? Do you think feral was meant to be a trading game? Let me know! :D
I dont rlly think it was meant to be a trading game, since theres so mich more you can do. Quests, crafting and such. Theres also a deep lore. I agree tho, if you do the quests, you cant rlly do anything, cuz collecting ingredients is kinda boring. Honestly, i dont rlly like trading, cuz theres a chance u can get scammed, and that feeling just ruins it all. I wish feral added like events, main story quests, and combat. It would make it more fun. I know we have season passes, but if you cant buy the season pass, feral is rlly boring. Ik somehow they need to make money, but there should something thats for free, and makes the game less boring. I also dont like how every animal is for real money. It would be good, if one month, an animal comes that is for real money, and the other motnh, an animal comes that is for likes or something.
@@okamikiru2197 OMG I totally agree with the animal thing, that was one thing that REALLY annoyed me, and that's why I quit feral
JK I didn't quit :P that would be a waste of excitement, and even if I did quit. i'll probably always find myself logging on every once in a while! Haha! But, yeah I hope they add a few more creatures that cost something in game, and not just real money, because you saw what happened in AJ they added a few animals in the beginning, and they all cost gems, but once they started adding animals that cost diamonds, they never added another animal that cost gems, and never added anymore Nonmember Animals, but there was the pig.. but it cost diamonds! so i'm going to be very disappointed if they don't add Any other animals that doesn't cost money
@@felnegalaxy9937 I can totally agree.
I don’t items to be in the game period tbh
I think it was ment to be a game that you play for fun, not exactly one where you get stressed about trading. In aj it was hard to have fun and have cool items without being rare and trading for things. On a side note, i have 2 marsh mushroom hats and if you want one i could give it to you (user is clovercat)
I expected a wizard101 kind of game and i got a reskinned animal jam instead 😩
Everyone usually wants to trade, and no one talks usually. I find awesome people there that actually talk but only a few, it's kinda sad.
adventure passes killed it for me, personally.
i quit back when they added a paywall :>
id rather watch ads
Eh, it's not really a paywall? Aren't the only things stuck behind that kind of restriction just... Cosmetic stuff?
lol true
@@Aspen-Animations sorry i took a double take because my sister goes my aspen i-

lol that's a funny coincidence
@@vulp6700 “Cosmetic stuff” is 90% of the game right now. Quests, at least now, are simple and boring. There is no story line, no big plot. So when the only thing you can do is decorate (and gather ingredients to get those items), then that’s a huge part of the game behind a paywall.
I quit because it got too big and wouldn't run on my computer properly lol
I dont really play anymore because I got all the accessories I wanted and my favorite aspect was grinding, so now there's nothing for me to do except run around and open chests or something

I still play actually. I finished up my quests! They were really fun but now I have nothing else to do. So I level and am aiming for the wings at level forty something! I am still going to continue to play
sameee
I quit because of the paywalls. It was so fun when it started out, but then everything was put behind paywalls - not even normal paywalls, season passes. We were told that there wouldn’t be a membership, so they called them “season passes” instead. It’s repetitive, and it gets boring. It’s a cool concept, but I feel like the paywalls killed it. I’d rather pay money for the download than to just grind for pixels
Oof now all is this season pass i dont have money ;-; i want cool creatures without use money :-|
I just joined fer.al, and i immediately FELL IN LOVE with the dragon avatar. But it’s not in the astral shop anymore, and I realized that it cost Star Frags to buy it. I had not idea how to get star frags, and most people I met said that you have to pay for them. I wasn’t interested in this since I’m f2p, but I realized you can get up to 400 star frags just by leveling up to around level 100. So now, I’m starting my endless grinding journey ;w;
Right now I think the level grinding and repetitiveness is a huge issue. There isn't a whole lot to do in Feral except explore, collect items, play minigames, and talk to people. The quests were a nice change of pace, but a lot of them were uninteresting imo. I hope that when the game gets out of beta there's some kind of bigger narrative, and I'd like to see a combat/magic system as well
Since I came to fer.al from the AJ trading community, I was already in the mindset of trading, but since fer.al isn't really for that I'm unmotivated to collect/make items and collect supplies, which again items were pretty much my main reason for being there.... That and the stupid season passes, it's so easy to get ripped off of your money with that thing.
I dont remember the reason.but feral stop working with my computer (it was perfectly fine when the first versions). but new versions wont lemme download feral again.
The main problem is that my computer is laggy and low definition compared to my IPad. Fer.al also takes forever to start up on my PC. School is pretty stressful, but I have been playing Pokémon Sword and Animal Crossing lately.
I quit Animal Jam 4 years ago because I got scammed of my years and years of rares I worked for. When I heard about feral, I was really excited because it was a new adaptation of a game I used to love as a kid! I played it and I have to admit, my first thoughts were kind of giving me that animal jam vibe with the trading aspect and that was something that really drove me away from investing more time into feral because I just have had an awful time in AJ because of that awful trading system.
I quit because the game seemed very confusing and hard to get into especially when the paywall happened.. I just feel like everything is too complicated for what it is
I waited a year for the game to realise on mobile, but now that i found out there was friking paywall. I hate paywalls because i dont spend money on such games and i really wanted diff creatures other than starters
Did the game even come out yet? On mobile it says late january...
they put feral out, on PCs. but not on mobile yet,
Jan 29th 2021
On pc it’s been out since March, but mobile comes out next month
It didn’t exactly “come out” yet. It’s in Early Access.
Season passes
They could've made people pay to get the animals just like the dragon instead of "Get the season pass or you'll never get it"
And it doesn't exist anymore forgotten about that
Was kinda hoping that Fer.al has going to be more quest/roleplay based that just a new AJ. Maybe something somewhat similar to Feral Heart. After a while the game gets super boring since all there is to do is grind, play the same fetch quests over and over, and trade items. Really a disappointment, but who knows, maybe it'll get better with new updates.
I was hoping fer.al was going to be like feralheart, but not much socialization happens. Just a lot of farming.
My thoughts on feral is one. Leveling up is sooooo slow and I just dont have the time to play the same minigame for 5 hours just to level up to one level. The game is boring but it's still in its beta stages so of course it's going to be boring that should be pretty obvious, well to most people. The game is a bit laggy and it crashes with some critical errors or whatever they're called.. They seem to focus on working on cool big boi updates like the hell that is the season pass instead of fixing the big bugs that need to be fixed. The season pass is literally just membership at this point since you don't get that much if you're a free to play player.
But there are good things about the game, not sure why you would quit just because it's boring since that's what I've seen most people quit for, but if you meet people and talk to them, it's actually pretty fun. For example, I was in centuria making a Diluc cosplay on my senri when I see a bunch of picken players that play as pickens running around the bar area (which where I was at) and it was actually pretty fun to watch then jump around.
(I do have ti say, genshin impact has really got me distracted so that's mainly why I haven't been playing feral much.. oops lol)
kinda worried that feral will die bc then i cant trade with anyone for sp stuff
but i dont really know anyone who's quitting
Cool video! I also get pretty bored and i get busy with homework :P
hi clover cat
@@FreyjaFeral Hello! Sorry I didn't see this sooner :3
tbh in my opinion, the biggest aspect was supposed to be story ect. or what else did they add quests for? i mean there are misterys in the game that what i mean.
I quit because of lag. I have an old slow computer and it intrerrupts a lot
Same, I barely can move so i'll wait for the mobile version
I found out Feral is getting a mobile version and I wanna try it! It looks so fun
This made me so mad cus I’m doing everything to play feral and knowing that people are just easily quitting is just...
I just quit cuz all I did was quests, it was boring to constantly fulfil others needs and wasn’t enough to keep me interested. Trading wasn’t really a thing cuz there wasn’t really rarity, other animals were locked behind a paywall which was just bs at this point and the game drains my battery. For what I’m getting it just isn’t worth it
I quit after my account was hacked. I'm guessing it's from the security breach that animal jam had but I lost a lot of stuff and they refuse to at least make up for it. (note, I don't even share my username with people, let alone my password)
I just started playing a couple days ago. I’m already lvl 14 and I just worked my way to tier 40 for the shinigami. So far I still really like it but then again I do enjoy the monotonous. The thing about animal jam that I don’t like is the trading.. it stresses me out. Especially ajpw with leilani. Now I hoard all my items in case she requests them.
I just find it boring and it just feels very childish despite having a 13+ age requirement.
This aged like fine wine
I look like a 3 month break xD I guess I just got a little bored and completed everything at the time. But also I felt like I couldn't keep up with everyone and the updates and stuff :( but im trying to finish this season.
Honestly, I've never played it, but when the mobile comes out in the UK, I'll see for myself. but there's one thing I've been thing of, instead of trading items away, what the feral team COULD do is create a system where if you have an item of which you don't want anymore, You can craft it into another unique item; Making the game more experimental.
Sad how I’m like the only person who wants to role play with others rather than just trying to get friends, trading, or crafting a bunch
I quit because it caused issues for my computer, it completely froze my computer. After maybe a few minutes of playing I would have to shutdown my computer manually in order to fix it. Making me believe it was full of malware. Which is damaging to a computer, as in viruses and what not. I don’t know if this has been fixed or not. Considering I could only play on a laptop.
I actually played it for tons of hours in a week, but after that week passed I played it less and less until I slowly began to just not play it anymore, the same thing happened to me with Animal Jam. I just got bored after a while, however Animal Jam lasted way WAY! longer, possibly for me it was like 2-3 years, unlike Fe.ral’s 1-2 weeks. I understand it’s still in beta, but I’ve already gotten bored not just because of the constant grinding, but also because of the lack of starting animals, the first two were free, and then the others had to be paid for. Animal Jam however, gave you like a few more animals to work with than just 2, even if the amount of animals you could own were limited in Animal Jam, at least they gave you more free choices.
i didnt quit i just havent played in a long time because 1. my computer isnt working and my phone isn't compatible with the mobile version (rip) and 2. i haven't really had time to even if i could because of school and swim. I love the game though and i think its amazing!! i would totally be playing more if i could!
My phone isn't compatible too, maybe it will be compatible soon.
Oh no.. Fer.al is becoming the furry version of Adopt Me
*oh uh I play adopt me but it is kinda boring a little- I think I'm a little too old for it and I'm glad the scammers went down though*
Um, furry are anamorphic characters , but the animals walk on all fours so not really
@@galacticlouds155 I’m referring to the trading system being like the one from Adopt Me not the pets
I think what you also have to take into account is that the main game isn't even out yet. It's still in beta and the core story and plot of the game still hasn't been released.
I tried to invite friends to this game, but as soon as they tried to enter it, they got a lot of errors and crashes. For this reason, I wanted to leave, but as soon as the problem stopped I decided to stay and I do not regret it, I create unique images for my characters and have fun with my friend.
As for me, the problem with this game is that it is unfinished to the end and therefore people do not stay in it for a long time. Because I reached level 31 and all the tasks were completed, but it would seem what next? By this time they make a wings and this strongly motivated me to continue playing, interest arose.
To this day, I continue to raise the levels and I love it. It will be a pity if the game ceases to exist
I don't really think trading should be that big of a component because that's really what drove me away from AJ, because in a way while, yeah, non-members could get rares. It feels less common in AJ for someone like me who isn't a member to get rares, so trading isn't something I really mess with that much, I mainly just play for mini-games and leveling because why not. It kinda sucks when a game that's genuinely fun becomes something only used for trading lol. And I think it's kinda the same with Feral. It has massive potential to be more like a... Traditional online style kinda... Mmo or whatever you wanna call it. With quests and events and all that REALLY cool stuff, and ofc trading can STILL be an aspect but I think it deserves to be more than just a reskinned AJ in that respect. I think the game is great and people are judging it too quickly, it's not even OUT yet so I think its a little too soon to make a judgment and "quit". It's got a good future ahead of it!
Frankly I just started Fer.al out of boredom. Having said that, the trading scene is difficult terrain because of the lack of trust between players. It is too easy for any player to just walk away with a super rare item and never be seen again. And there is nothing you can do about that. And with our modern generations lacking almost any morals, only focused on themselves, behavior like that is all to commonplace.
Grinding through the season pass, it took me over three days to do one trading task while standing in the heart of City Fera. And many members that I have traded with have asked for equally rare items to hold as credit for the trade.
Gathering resources is another whole can of worms. I don't know if there is a code in play that determines what resources you get based on anything like amount of times harvested, time in that region, or some sort of yield system. But it seems that even in missions that require you to harvest a specific rarity of item, it feels like that item is the hardest to get. Case in point, having to harvest 10 "COOL" classed items, only to get a thousand "COMMON" and a few hundred "RARE". While it is nice to stock up on the items, I don't want to be stuck doing the same quest for two hours.
also the game even though it doesn't have a membership, it does have a micro transaction system to get better things, like animals and stuff. it's pay to win kinf od game for me. I stopped playing a while ago, but I thought of playing again, but it's not even trying to download lmao so..also with people leaving now, it was short lived gameplay for me. :/
I think as the games get older there will be more features and more stuff to do which will attract more players
If that helps I'm currently taking a break from Fer.al because practically all people I was friends with on there quit, as well as because the singleplayer gameplay itself got a little too repetitive
The game as a whole is amazing I’ve only just reached level 10 so I’m pretty new to the game, so far I’m loving it and I think people forget that the game is still in beta testing which means things are most likely being worked on behind the scenes. For me I’ve only traded once before so I wouldn’t say that trading is a huge part of the game and it shouldn’t focus on being a trading game because there’s too many other aspects of the game which are better than the trading system.
I quit feral maybe.. a few days after they lauched the first season pass? The jack rabbit one or something. I have a few reasons as to why, some of them being 1. My computers screen is broken and a lot of pixels are dead so it makes it annoying to play, 2. I got tired of playing the mini games, 3. I too had other stuff that kept me from playing, 4. I just lost interest, but the main thing that i still think about is how they added in-game purchases for... a game that isnt even officially released yet? From what im seeing, this game is still in BETA, a stage where people should be testing the game to find bugs, see how interesting it is, make adjustments, and just help the game push out for a full release. Why would you spend money for a game that isnt even out yet? That has a (even if its small) chance of never releasing? Hell, even in gacha games which are just gambling machines for a wider audience, they dont let you spend money on them until AFTER the game is finished, or at least officially released. I didnt want to spend $10 goddamn dollars to be able to get a character if i spend 4 hours everyday doing the same quests for pass points. Its just stupid to me, so i just stopped playing
helloi hope u dont mind if i ask u if ur interested i sellin or trading ur old items if u dont play anymore? :0
I feel like feral would get way more poeple if they had adventures aswell. Becuase in aj classic it was really good how adventures were really complex and had back storys aswell, making it way more fun then just a simple quest.
a little late to the video but the main reason I've been taking a break from the game is that theres just nothing to do when you get all of the items you want. The only thing you can really do at the moment is grind the same 4 (really only 2 if you want to do it optimally) minigames over and over to level, but even then the rewards aren't much to go after and you can only do Do or Dye so many times before you just don't have the energy for it anymore. Trading was really the only thing that kept me playing Feral for a while, but ever since a bunch of the old items were rereleased the economy blew up it and caused a lot of people to leave. Especially since some items weren't rereleased, you basically have to pay for the season pass (or multiple like I did last pass) for items from there to trade. I really hope feral adds some new features and ideas to the game because right now there's just nothin to do outside of redecorate your sanc a million times.
I just forgot it existed because there is a lack of content, I wish there were more fun things to do
I got into in because you can play as a kitsune and others while also customizing them. Also, trading for me is great, even though I don't go to people to trade instead they come to me. Mostly they trade me picklocks for thing I don't need because they say they're bad at it. Idk, I'm pretty good even though I have terrible internet connections.
I was never able to play feral o-o I still am not able to play feral. I hope if I ever get to there aren’t like only a small handful of people
I haven't been able to play fer.al in a while since I don't have pc, but when it comes out on mobile I am definitely going to play a whole lot more.
my main reason for quitting was because of that dumb seasons pass... i'm not gonna go through the tedious effort of completing it when the items that were actually decent are locked behind a paywall. it's the same reason i got so sick and tired of animal jam. i ended up moving on to deep rock galactic and i haven't looked back. i did have some pretty good times in feral, tho. maybe one day i'll return when they get it together haha
hello haha i have a question? would u consider selling or trading ur items if u wanna quit?
*the loading killed it for me.*
I just started the game, and I don't know much at all, but there's something I found interesting:
I wanna first say that I come from a much larger gaming community known as the Paladins community, but relative to a lot of gaming communities Paladins is small, essentially what I'm saying here is that Fer.al has a smaller community compared to a lot other games.
It's also worth noting that Fer.al has something in common with bigger games, in fact it has a feature that free to play games as large as Fortnite has: it has a Season Pass (known as battle pass in other games).
Now the Season Pass is an excellent way to run a free to play game and still profit from a business perspective, however there's one downside a thing like that, and that's free player exclusion. The players who play the game for free and aren't willing or able to dedicate money to the game. I want to focus specifically on the players who aren't willing.
A player is willing to dedicate money to a free to play game if they enjoy the game but more importantly if they know they'll keep enjoying the game/get value out of it long term. I know this immediately points to what you said about the game being boring after awhile but that's not what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about is the value that a player expects to get out of a game, often judged by the size of that games playerbase (from what I've seen anyways).
This is where game size comes in, Paladins and Fortnite have big active communities that will survive and thrive for a long time, even despite the fact that the developers of those games have made questionable decisions, this has to deal with their pure size and the fact that they've lasted awhile and established themselves. So a player in those communities would be willing to dedicate money because they know they'll get their enjoyment out of the game for a decent amount of time.
However Fer.al is a much smaller community, is much newer and is not as established; therefore less players who approach or are a part of the game are willing to dedicate money to it, there's not a certainty that the game will thrive for a long time and therefore a lack of guarantee that they'll get to enjoy the game long term. As a result these players are free to play players, and I can tell you from experience it SUCKS being a free to play player in a game that offers microtransactions for cosmetics. As a result of this, free to play players become, well, non-players.
Now I'm not saying this is the primary or even one of the biggest reasons that players are quitting, but I feel like it should be considered.
I also want to clarify again, I'm not an expert, I'm not familiar with the functionality of games with communities this size and to top that off this game is a different genre than the ones I've compared it too, honestly I'm guessing at best. I also want to say that I'm not saying the Fer.al community is small to invalidate what you said in the video or invalidate the community in general. If we're being real Fer.al probably has thousands to tens of thousands of players if not way more and that's a LOT of players, when I say it's small I'm only speaking relatively.
To those who're wondering why I wrote an essay: I am wondering that as well. I get carried away when I'm tired I guess.
I saw an ad and thought I'd give it a shot. I've never played Animal Jam so no comment on that. I'm unsure to say if it's a trading game but I can see why people would assume so. All there is to do is grind for ingredients to make customizables that are tradable. I've recently just downloaded and the game looks great for it being new, however I want "more" to do. The mini games are nice and quests are okay, but it'd be great if I could constantly explore the open world to fight monsters for cool drops instead of just "collecting" them. I like to use skill more than luck. Maybe rarest drops from mobs would require team efforts? I don't like that they've already been dishing out grindy season passes instead of adding more to the actual gameplay, especially when the rewards aren't that rewarding. (a headband, really?) I rather earn my way through a challenging quest than to pay money for new creatures. As of right now it's been getting a little boring but I hope they have better things planned.
Also I think because a lot of the new players are underage and after hearing about why this is a 13+ game they don’t want to be part of it. As someone who is underage myself, I’m debating quitting even though I just started today.
I couldn’t play Fer.al on my computer when it was popular (and still can’t) because of my WiFi, but I have data on my iPad, so I was waiting for the mobile version to come out. I was so excited, then when it came out I found out it’s kinda boring •_•
I joined, verified, and couldn't even log in. So I felt unhappy. Then there's no updates or anyone saying anything about it because they get distracted with other things because they think it's a lost cause
i hope feral are making more stuff to do after this massive quitting storm
Wait, ITS STILL IN BETA? WHAT? I haven’t played in over A YEAR
this game is going to be a completely empty wasteland and there will still be no news on when the game will fully release
i think wildworks is gonna figure out that the only reason people play aj is because of the rarity system (if they haven’t already). since feral is new, there’s really no point of interest yet. i think wildworks created this game with less of an intention of a “gambling” or trading system, but honestly they’ll probably later cater it to become one, since that seems to be what attracts people to play it. Also, because its still new, there’s really no economy yet. i basically just copied exactly what you think lmaoooo
For me, I really hate the "Likes" and the star-coin-things that you have to pay for to get more creatures.
I don't want to spend 50 plus dollars on a game that I play casually just to play a different creature that was originally supposed to be free (it was implied by WildWorks that these creatures were going to be free).
The "Likes" system is so bogus, just have it be- gems/ jewels/ crystals or something, "Likes" makes no sense. It's also really hard to get "Likes" we need more games to play.
Edit: The leveling system is also really buggy, I leveled up while playing my kitsune, so I got the Birdhead for that creature, but I never got any of the other creature's heads? even though my friend got the Birdhead and the Regalhead (for the Senri).
I might quit if the only way to get other creatures is to buy a season pass using real money, it’s kind of annoying.
i think feral needs more minigames that are multiplayer like in aj
i could play four gem or checkers all day especially if i got like in feral for winning..i always have too little likes...
In my opinion, trading is not a big part of feral. (At least from my perspective) I'm actually glad that its not too big in this game, because in animal jam, one of the reasons why i lost interest and starting playing other games was because of the trading system. It was getting really toxic, and hard to keep up with, and it honestly wasn't a good time for me. And when i joined feral that was a big concern of mine, that trading once again would be the main function of the game, but i was pleasantly surprised that there is a lot more to do than just trade, and its not that big of a thing in game. I really hope that it stays this way.
I have quit Feral as there was nothing to do and the season pass really lost my faith in the game. I liked the old methods of paying better. There also needs to be more creatures that are not behind a paywall.
I stopped playing feral the first week I got accepted to the beta. Honestly it’s boring, I thought it would be good but it’s not. All you do is run around collecting items to craft clothing. I was looking forward to playing it too since I quitted Animal Jam YEARS ago, like 4 years or more. Now I play Roblox (sometimes if I’m bored) :3
hey i have a question lol did u have any items from then? would u consider selling or trading them?
I may quit fer.al just because
1. Time; Fer.al is so focused on grinding (as you said) and if you don't want to trade or if trading is just not your thing (like me), you don't really have much you can do except grind, which just feels like a total waste of time.
2. Device; most people that have played Fer.al come from AJ, which the community has a strong disliking for its lag. It's happening again, in Fer.al. the last time I actually played, it took me 5 mins to load ANYTHING and around 10 mins to open, as well as my computer crashing every 30 mins ~ 1 hour while playing.
3. Paywalls; my gosh this is actually one of the most P2W games that I have seen (not that I have seen many lol), but you have to get a season pass to get, like, 90% of the rewards that you grinded for? What? This is actually just becoming a copy of animal jam, but more "mature". Just wait; next up are membership items that you can only place with a paid membership.
4. It's literally boring; the only thing that kept me for as long as it did was the customisation, and as mentioned in point one, it can't really be done If you aren't into trading or you are ok with grinding for hours. What else is there to do?
But then again, this is just me and my opinion. If you have a different opinion from me, that's completely fine!
I quit when it was still like Early early because it practically burned my laptop which has really good specs because of how much space and energy it needed to even run
wait for real? what laptop do you have?
@@elle9558 Yeah and it was super laggy to boot :( My laptop is an Acer Spin 5 and only a few months old and can play like all ds and 3ds games on it so idk why something as seemingly simple as fer.al wouldn't work
do u have any items left u would consider selling or trading, if u quit? :o
Fer.al is a fun game imo, But I agree the grind is brutal. For me in my experience, Just trying to level up has been so much time wasted and feels depressing at times, Ive gone up three levels in the past eight hours just from lvl 36 to 38 .. the higher level you are with such limited places to collect EXP and with all the quests completed...Gets to the point I just need to do something else,
Thats usually why I take 'breaks' from Fer.al for a few days or weeks, I'm not interested in trading at all, I just collect what I find, But I think it'd be more fun if there was maybe multiplayer games that helped gain EXP in some way? At least it'd be fun doing with friends instead of solo at times, as the Fer.al chat option tends to lag so bad my friends and I go to discord since our msgs dont send and gets confusing (this might've been fixed I havent been on in a few months) But, those are just some thoughts from me.
I can’t believe people get tired of the game faster than Animal Jam, like you’d think the developers would learn, but no. They said they would PROBABLY NOT have a membership.
Their game was 7+ years in the making, they knew that they would implement a membership. (They probably already created it) they lied to their players and that is what I hate.
I’m glad people quit. It’s fine to have in-app parchases. But this is just greedy. I really hope they add more FREE features. It really was a lovely game and I still think it can be one. Unfortunately they are switching back to focusing on animal jam.
