@@godslayer8894 while that might be true, he still hasn’t shown that he was worth a first overall pick. For how good he was in juniors, he has definitely been a disappointment in the NHL.

I had the chance to play with him up until the QMJHL level and it’s so well deserved. Haven’t talked to him much since those days but i’m super glad to see him thrive like this. He always worked super hard and his work ethic was always admirable.

Je lui souhaite bien ça avec la saison qu’ils ont en ce moment. Personnellement je n’ai jamais été un fan des Rangers à cause du bassin de joueurs tels que Kreider etc mais il la mérite tellement. Définitivement l’équipe que je vais supporter dans l’Est sachant que mon équipe favorite est dans l’Ouest mais j’espère secrètement qu’ils ne vont pas s’affronter en finale parce que je ne sais pas qui je vais devoir supporter lol.

Future captain of NYR. Couple years ago I talked with some Rangers' fans and said them he is going to be new Mark Messier for the Broadway Blueshirts. Because he is not soft like Hughes or Bedard. He is tough and hard-bitten. They laughed at me then. Now they singing praises for him. About points. He is 2nd in EV goals and 5th in EV assists(2 behind Fox). Don't forget that he plays PP2 line.
So happy for this kid. Haters who just looked at his stats the last few years didn't realize he was getting limited ice time and like 5 seconds of power play time a game. Once he's fully promoted to PP1, he'll be a 70+ points a season guy.
