Documentaire sur la vie du musicien haïtien et auteur-compositeur, Emmanuel Charlemagne. Cet artiste était un élément important des mouvements sociopolitiques populaires haïtien dans les années 1980 et 1990. Sa musique avait une présence forte et a certainement influencée l'histoire d'Haïti avant le départ de Jean-Claude Duvalier.
Documentary about the life of Haitian musician and song writer, Emmanuel Charlemagne. That artist was an important element of the popular Haitian socio-political movements in the 1980's and 1990's. His music had a strong presence and certainly influenced Haitian history prior to the departure of Jean-Claude Duvalier.

2024 je regarde cette vidéo, je souhaite que nous ayons un autre pays et raconter cela à mes futurs enfants, leur disant comment nous avons pu sortir de cette bêtise et qu'aujourd'hui on est fier de parler ça au passé. 😩

Just watch this with my dad and two other family members and they were so happy to take this trip down memory lane . As a 25 year old I was also surprised and happy to see how our country used to be..Manno is an amazing story teller. I am also thankful to all the people who provided us with images and videos from that time.

Nice interview. I remember when I was teenager, I used to listen to my neighbor who was so in love with this Artist. My mother did not allow me to listen to him because of her religion but I used to love his songs anyway. It was a wonderful time!!

I first saw Manno Charlemange in the Jonathan Demme movie "Haiti: Dreams of Democracy" where he was interviewed back in 1986 around the time Baby Doc left. He sang "Ayiti Pa Foret" in that movie. They also interviewed artists like Beethova Obas, Andre Pierre and others.

Nesie Bird yes, most definitely.."Politik pam" was the title name for the album, the song itself was made in 1989 after the incident.throughout the whole song you've never heard him calling him by name or refer to him directly...Master Dji was "beefing" before It was even popular in America
