Thank you. Discovery and seeing all real images of what is out there is my only hesitation to me not wanting to live forever. I still don’t but this scientific Journey is a part of my personal journey as well.
Venus is amazing to see in binoculars or a scope. You can see the phases clearly. Currently visible in the morning skies. It's pretty hard to miss. Also Mars is close by at this time too. Redder and dimmer below Venus from the Northern hemisphere. If you're up before dawn go check them out in your South East sky.
@@itsnotrightyouknow Right now, it's over 90% lit and nearly full so now phase to see with binos. Other side of the Sun too, so it'll look like a bb about 5 paces away. Will see if i can get it with the scope early tomorrow at dawn.
It's amazing to me how, after all these years, a Venus probe can't last an hour on the surface. Also fascinating how the Soviet Union persevered with the Venera program after the first few probes died almost instantly.
Kids today have almost effortless access to so much more knowledge than my generation even had the opportunity to access. We could only watch and try to learn through a MUCH smaller window, a keyhole in comparison. Where kids today have it harder is that there is so much out there to watch and read, it's easy (and perfectly understandable) to just throw up one's hands and say 'I don't know who's speaking from a place of real knowledge and who is not, or why.'
I've always had a fascination with Venus. There's something special about that planet and it deserves more exploration than Mars imo. There could be life there that has adapted to survive with its extreme conditions. We would die immediately there but life from there might die instantly on earth because they aren't adapted to our conditions just like we aren't adapted to theirs
It's possible Venus had life hundreds of millions of years ago, but definitely not now. It would be worthwhile to perform some sort of remote mining operation to search for fossils, and even more useful, mine for minerals we can use on Earth. That might actually be the most useful thing we get from Mars, as making it truly habitable is pretty unrealistic any time soon. Venus is also very similar to Earth, and is actually a pretty dire warning to us of what could happen one day.
@@nahor88 Noob here. How would Venus have life hundreds of millions of years ago, when Earth itself was burning hot? Shouldn't Venus have been even hotter, considering it's closer to the sun?
Indeed, I would like to see some more videos on the geography and climate of Venus. I was watching Venus Xmas evening with my new 6 inch reflector telescope and it was in quarter phase like the Moon does. I was pleasantly surprised as I had never seen that before in person. I could look at pictures of course, videos too, but it is not the same as seeing it for yourself.
I have always been fascinated by Venus and it's mysterious properties. It's direction of rotation is the opposite of any other planet in the solar system except Uranus. Is there a significant reason for that? Has there ever been life on Venus (during an earlier phase of it's "life" when the atmosphere was thinner)? I would love a more elaborate deep-dive on Venus!
@@thetruthunravaled7612 beautiful. Much praise to you. I bow to Cerberus and wash the feet of Harambe. After reading this beautiful truth I'm going to immediately go self pleasure myself to some great works of art, and afterwards I will shed all of what makes me "me" by smoking a blessed DMT/Cannabis mix. After this, probably an o r g y. Amen
Its believed Venus was very like Earth, a theory regarding its rotation was believed to be a result of an impact from an asteroid or comet. There was once a ocean on Venus but now it’s in the atmosphere which has contributed to its high C02 content.
Very informative on a planet shrouded in mystery, only one lander landed on Venus surface but was crushed by the interior heat and acid rain, and we as a species have never been back to Venus since the 70s.
Humans tend to don't understand just how much pressure 94 bar is. It's like having a fully loaded semi standing on one square inch of space. The human body would be crushed and roasted on the surface of Venus if not first dissolved by the sulfuric acid clouds, not my ideal place too visit 🤣
In my opinion we should never ever try to terraform any planet to be a habitual planet for us. Because that specific planet's Natural Engineering have adjusted itself to its Weather , Climate and Environment. For example Venus surface is already hot and crispy and due to thick Clouds Sunlight is getting blocked from reaching it which is a good news. Suppose we terraformed Venus and removed those Clouds in future then Sunlight might reach Venus surface making it more hot and crispier and due to it Venus might break or blast away into few pieces making some unwanted Meteor or Asteroids for us.
As long as imagination stretches, reality is allways more bonkers. Its almost like fantasy is reality because reality has no borders we get absolutely stunned every time we hear something new about universe or whatever you wanna call it multiverse...
I found this video incredibly informative and gives me a new perspective on Venus. The only request I have is that you have more comparisons to help put things in perspective.
@@davidm5707 There's also good discussion about it ; go to Google-Chrome , type in : Could we terraform Mars or Venus ? Scroll down to the small red box , then click the blue sentence . The best contribution is #8 .
I always imagine that Venus would be this idyllic nirvana or Avalon and that all those terrifying clouds and storms were nothing more than some sort of deterrent or protective barrier built by the planets inhabitants.
Awesome presentation, graphics and illustration 👍👍👍. Hope you will come up with a detailed video about Venus soon. Best of 🤞
@Kyles Isler no, it is not a text-to-speak bot. The narrator, James Buikman, is Russian. I was curious myself about his (attempt at) hyper-correct pronunciation and I could not hear any obvious accent from languages I know, so I googled him.
Very good video, even if I am not so pessimistic about terraforming Venus. Remarkably, how much time would it take for performing Venus? It depends on the kind of technology you can handle...
Terraformation probably couldn't be very difficult if we'll hold adjustable shader at Lagrange point. Next when heat will down we'll bring ice asteroids to make ocean.
I believe you got the axial tilt wrong. Venus rotates retrograde, and the best explanation is a cataclysmic collision that knocked the planet upside down. Thus, it's axial tilt is more like 177 degrees, not 3 degrees.
I think that we should have observation balloons in the milder portions of the atmosphere. It's the closest potentially habitable place in our solar system
Maybe some of these mountains originate from the time of when the surface of Venus first formed from a molten ball of rock. These mountains are just the height variations of the surface.
pie...ice cream...that thumbnail makes me hungry lol. Jeez, I wonder why sugar helps with thinking, I should watch my diet, so close to diabetus I think
Interesting video with information about topics I didn’t came across and knew yet. I have seen also topics about a layer in the sky that could be habitable and where could be signs of gasses that could be indicators for microscopic life. Maybe a new topic about that with interesting info about what is known without the fantasy-clickbait we sometimes see in other movies would be interesting. The first is something I would take time to see, the latter not. This movie gets a well earned like and I signed in out of curiosity.🙂👍🤘

You should have played the audio of Venus that the Russians recorded when Venera 14 was sitting on the surface in 1982. Really sounds like HELL.

Life is exceedingly more likely to be found on Mars. Life can't adapt to that extreme of an environment, that we know of.

Given the conditions of the planet, placing one's footprints on the planet's surface begs the question of why would one want to?
It would be nice if in the distance future our decedents can terraform Venus and make it habitable for life forms and turn Venus into a second earth.
