Amazing, i have been searching all day for a solution for V3, this is a easy to follow guide to produce and email with attachment. The one thing i had to do was go to the doc settings and turn on the ID column visablilty. thank you
Thank you for this most valuable flow [for me] so far. I did not know about the 'ID addition' and got always stuck on this particular requirement. Exactly what I was looking for - Thanks
Hi Richard, great video! Is there anything you could show if I wanted to actually trigger it from a Sharepoint List and also pull the columns of that List into the body of the email? Thank you!
Hi Richard, is there a way to identify the unique file to attach to the email from it's exported name that always includes the date? eg; every month I download a file. I want to trigger an email to a customer, attaching that newest downloaded file after it hits a specific folder (previous month files will be in the folder as well). The pseudocode would be "when new file arrives in folder, attach to email and send to customer. I'm trying to figure out how to select the newest downloaded file to attach to the email :)
i did the exact same steps as you, it sent the email with the attachement, but when i try to open the recieved attachement, i get the following error "This workbook couldn't be opened because the file format may not be matching with the file extension." (:
I could not find this anywhere! Thank you!!! Can i add a recurring time for this to be sent out to the group? What if the file i am sending has data connections? Would that matter ?
Hi Dan, Glad it helped! Recurring wise - you can change the trigger to run daily or on whatever cadence you want to work - then pick your group email address. For the file - if it has data connections - I'd send a link to the file vs the file as an attachments - you can use the action of create a shareable link. Hope this helps.
Great work. However, the attachment in the email is always the same copy, though the actual copy in the document library is updated with different query
Hi Rasaq - sure thing - I can put out a clip for this to help you - but my approach would be to create a string variable, then use the action 'append to string variable' and look up anyone who needs to be notified into this message adding their email followed by a ; I'll aim for a clip on this in the next day or so.
