Rock 'N' Roll dream... the classic Gretsch Duo Jet traces its lineage to the earliest days of Rock music. Similar to models of the late '50s, today's Duo Jet features dual High Sensitive Filtertron™ pickups, "tone switch" circuitry, ebony fingerboard with Neo-Classic "thumbnail" inlays, Space Control bridge and G-cutout tailpiece.
Gretsch celebrates the legacy of George Harrison with the G6128T-GH George Harrison SIGNATURE Duo Jet® guitar, modelled on the instrument that the legendary guitarist often referred to as his “first real decent guitar.”
Features include distinctive appointments and modifications found on Harrison’s original 1957 Gretsch Duo Jet, which he purchased secondhand in the very early 1960s. These include a lightweight mid-’50s-style chambered body, all-black colour scheme (arched maple top, mahogany back and sides, and back of the one-piece mahogany neck), Bigsby® B3C tailpiece with a black Phillips head tremolo arm pivot bolt, and an offset strap button on lower bout. Other features include three-ply body binding (white-black-white), single-ply white neck and headstock binding, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with 12” radius and hump-block pearloid inlays, two single-coil DynaSonic™ pickups, vintage-style “rocking bar” bridge with rosewood base, silver plexi pickguard, chrome-plated Grover® V98CM Sta-Tite™ tuners, Gretsch “G” arrow control knobs, chrome-plated hardware, Harrison’s signature on the truss rod cover and a premium tweed case.

So nice to see a guitar demo without a trace of metal. Thanks, guys.

Nice review. It's cool to see the Dynasonics and the Filtertrons together like this. Love that GH model.

great presentation and demo. love the versatility and tonality of the different pickups. Both configurations are worth owning and gigging with for their subtle differences. 🎧

Hey guys, if you want to see some more videos with duo jets checkout my channel (return of the duo jet is probably the best one if you want to hear it do different things!) from Chet Atkins to rock etc..

Finally, a well rounded review of these guitars, the 59 especially. I have been agonizing over
whether to buy a 59 or 6120 hollow body. I love the 6120 but I kind of feel it's a bit of a
one trick pony. And I MUST have the tv jones pick ups. the 59 with it's chambered body,
seems as though it can handle rockabilly, and jazz-type tones, which I am very interested in.
And it has the tv jones, which the 55 does not. And, it can handle harder rock genres. It seems every review of the 59 on you tube has focused on hard rock or fusion type of music,
thank you for showing the guitar can do jazz or rockabilly.

Great review, these guitars are great looking, great comparisons on them, I did not know about the pickup differences, now I do and want both.

The DJ is an amazing guitar, the best ever Gretsch IMO. The DeArmonds sound best, FTs are too tame but are the best of the humbuskers. Never liked the 3-way tone switch - treble, mud, and muddier.
BTW, the "Day Tripper" riff was played on an Epiphone Casino on the bridge pickup but works very well on a DJ bridge pickup.

Own a 6128T Firebird Jet and it is hard to put it down or play any other guitar except perhaps my Gretsch 6137TCB Black Panther which is a fantastic guitar as well.
