Look at all those members he employs, I’m sure the entire tour cost falls on his shoulders and he is working hard giving people jobs. I like it.
That’s something I always wondered about KC, imho he doesn’t earn big money and really does it for the music.
If I'm not mistaken, the band's booking fee is between $75,000 - $100,090 for a concert. They have about 15 people traveling in the show. So with agent fees, travel expenses, sleeping, paying each person etc., it adds up.
The town and the advertisers pay for them. They get paid, they don't work for free.

This really isn't Rock & Roll, it's Disco.
KC was a customer at an internet company that I worked for some years ago. I got to speak with him on the phone 3 times, and I must say he's a really nice man! I had to take care of a problem with one of his orders. When we were done we spent a moment to talk about some of the Chicago shows that I saw him at. And because it was around the holidays he even wished me a happy new year. He's a class act!

Wow, does this bring back memories!!! KC and the Sunshine Band was the very first concert I ever saw 😊. It was the summer of 1976 Ontario Place, Toronto, Ontario and I was 14 and had a lot of school friends with me and it was incredible 😊😊. I was fortunate enough to see Led Zeppelin, Heart and Pink Floyd later on in my teens, but the KC concert was the one I remember most 👏👏👍🔥🇨🇦

@@susiepittman601: Yeah, that's surprising, considering he came from an Evangelical Pentecostal Christian family. Maybe he rebelled against his religion for some reason? Dunno. He's said in interviews that he believes in God and attributes his talents and success to Him - so that's a positive thing, but he admitted in one interview that he doesn't attend church services.

This show is proving GHETTO isn’t the only option. The dancers are dressed fun but modestly and no twerking. This dude is ALL CLASS.

to spend some time with my Girlfriend. Her family sold their house and moved to Daytona. Her Mom was always getting sick so, They thought moving
to a warmer climate would help her. This song was always on the radio! Back then it was AM Radio, Other songs were also constantly playing like "*Maria Muldaur's"*

This band is definitely one of my favorites from the 70’s. They sound great and they interact with the people that came to be with them tonight. A real showman without even working at it. Great, great memories.

I’m a Fan and I have loved ❤KC and the SunShine Band Snice 1974 I was in the Army at a Dance Club , Vietnam was ending and I was enjoying listening to KC AND THE SUNSHINE BAND PLAYING ON THE JUKEBOX AND WATCHING THE GIRLS DANCE . I HAD A WEEKEND PASS AND I WAS SO HAPPY JUST LISTENING TO KC AND HAVING A FEW COLD BEERS 🍺 LIFE WAS GOOD AND STILL IS ! THANK YOU KC AND THE SUNSHINE BAND ! That was 49 years ago and I will never forget that day
I had the biggest crush him in the 70s. He's was Cute and I mean Cute!❤ glad he over came the terrible car accident and he's up there entertaining.
I never heard about a car accident... but I'd like to meet him before I die.
@@user-qc8do8rl6f: He mentions the head-on accident (happened in 1982) in a couple of interviews. He was in traction, because of some damaged nerves, and it took him almost a year to recover, since he was paralyzed on his right side.

@@studiosfifty4: Yes, I agree. It was shocking to see how much weight he's put on over the past few years. I'm just afraid of him having a heart attack or a stroke. Looks like he's been married a couple of times, because he's wearing different wedding bands in different videos. I know one referred to his having a wife who unfortunately died of cancer. He likes to keep his personal life private, as he said in another video (which is certainly his right), so it's hard to know much about him. Oh well, we have our own lives to deal with, which is more than enough, these days! All the best to you!! 😊
Very inspiring
I grew up in Miami,Fl and have loved KC and the Sunshine Band since I was seven years old having listened to Y-100 the local radio station and roller skating at several local rinks listening and having fun to the band's music for many years! I will be 55 next month and will be a fan always! Happy to see KC and the Sunshine Band are still putting on great concerts and having a good time doing so for us fans!
