That's a whole lot of washi & you still have more to unbox. I can't wait to see you mystery washi box. Your husband makes beautiful pen & oh my gosh the cherry 🍒 pit is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Sarah! I go the notice that my washi mystery box shipped today! So excited to get it! Can't wait to show it on the channel! Glad your enjoying the channel! ❤
I love the pens your husband made and the red cherry seeds one. I really enjoyed the clip watching your husband making the pen, I never knew how that was done. I also am looking forward to your heaven and earth design process videos. I always wondered how that was done and now you’ve explained it clearly in part one. I appreciate it & thank you.
Hey Carly! Glad you got to see the pen turning part. It is interesting to watch the pens being turned. I would have included a clip where he was actually turning down the shape of it because that's cool watching all the shavings fly off like super thin noodles. But, he had already done that part before I came into his wood shop area. So I missed that part... ☹ Glad you're enjoying the channel. Thanks for commenting! 😊
Love your Washi tape and pen haul. You got some beautiful things. I also have a few pens from Jim and I really like mine too. That Cherry pit pen turned out stunning!! I think I know which pen your first winner will pick. Lol. I am SO looking forward to the next 2 HAED videos, especially the second one (as you well know).
Hey Lisa! Yes, the cherry pit one is SOOO unique! I can't wait until he makes the one I get to keep all to myself! I'm getting there on the HAED videos. It takes me a while to put together the tutorial videos because of all the details that go into them. Have a great week! 😀
Hi Tammy. Enjoy your channel. Especially the series on HAED conversion & an easier way to use pattern from HAED to work in rounds. Cant wait!!!!! Also your husband found a nice artistic talent and hobby. I love that cherry pit 🖊 😊. Thank you ;)
Hello Kathy! Thanks for all the great comments! Recording the videos is kind of hard for me... It's just not comfortable yet to me. But, I am loving the interaction with the community. Glad you're liking the channel. Hope you have a wonderful week! 💜
Thanks! He has been looking for another hobby the last year to take into retirement. I think he's found it, for sure. He really seems to be enjoying making different things and he's gotten pretty good at it, pretty quickly. So, I think that adds to the enjoyment for him. 😊
OMG Tammy! Thanks so much for showing the snow ❄️❄️ video. I love snow too, but here in NC we don't get much. I love all of your content & your husband's pens look awesome. You're so inspiring - can't wait for your next video!! ❤️❤️
Hey Kelly! Glad you liked the snow video clip. It was SOOO pretty. Put me in the mood for the holidays immediately! It only lasted a little over a day before it all melted though because the temps got too high for it. ☹ But, it was fun while it lasted! Glad you're enjoying the channel! ❤
I am enjoying your video content and how you added time stamps to your description box so I can easily jump to a portion of your video I want to re-watch. I also love washi tapes & diamond painting pens 😁It was interesting to see how your husband hand-turns pens. He is very skilled and should sell them! You have a lovely pen collection & will definitely take a look at Jim's website. You are definitely an enabler!!! Keep up the great video content videos and look forward to your next HAED videos. Sending you warmest Aloha from Hawaii 🌺
Hi Cami! I love your profile name! That's so cool! Glad the chapters are helping you with watching the videos. That's great feedback to hear! You are my soul sister then, if you love both washi and DP pens! Sorry for enabling you, if I did. Blame the washi enabling on Diamonds and Washi. It's really ALL her fault. She's the one that really got me interesting in the Simply Gilded washi. But, it's all SOOO pretty, isn't it? I am SOO jealous that you live in Hawaii! I haven't visited there yet, but it's on my list. I love volcanoes. I've spent some time in Costa Rica hiking around on volcanoes. So much fun. And, I've been all over the Caribbean scuba diving and I know I would LOVE scuba diving in Hawaii too. Do you surf or scuba dive?😀
Hey There Tijuana! I like that pen too! It just reminds me of snuggling up with a hot cocoa with marshmallows in it. Thanks! You have a great day too!😃
That was such a large hull. I really liked the pens & how you highlighted Jim’s shop. I really like the content that you have put out. Will definitely continue watching the HAED tutorial.
Hi Tracy! I know... [Head hanging down in shame... ] But, I have to admit... I LOVE them all! I am such a washi hoarder now. Thank god washi tape is super small! So, I can store it all very easily, at least! Thanks for the great feedback! 😀
Hi Girl Diamond! I like your profile name! Thank you... He's reading these comments today and I think it's boasting his confidence in the pen turning... (Or, it's going to his head and we're going to have to do a "smack down" on him next video... Not sure which yet...)🙃💕
I love how in depth your videos are. Very pretty washi tape. I need to check Simply Gilded out! I loved the hybrid fall pen & the pen with the pinecone that had the crack. Beautiful pens! Jim's was the first person I bought a pen from. I love his pens!
Hi Robin! Thanks for the comment on the "in depth" part... I always wonder if I am boring people to death with the details sometimes... But, it really is just "who I am"... 🙃 The washi tape was gorgeous, wasn't it? I love, love, love the Christmas washi... Glad you liked it too! Jim is an awesome turner and just a great guy. Have a great week! 💜
Wow! Your husband is very talented and makes the most beutiful DP pens! We also had some snow this week and its just magical. I must say I loooove the cherry pit pen... Love your videos and can't wait to see more.
Hey there, first diamond painting pen winner! Thanks for putting that angel emoji in the last video! Glad you like that cherry pit pen! Lol! You'll have to let me know what you think of it once you get a chance to diamond paint with it yourself! Congratulations on winning that pen! Don't forget to respond to my email on how to verify your identity so I can send it out to you! 💕
I have 7 of Jim’s mini pens. They are fitted with everlasting tips for multiplacing, straight and bendy tips in sets of one, two, three, four, six and straight five straight ten and fifteen. I love his pens. You have tempted me with the washi tape, I’m going to have to check them out. Great video as always, you explain things very well
Hey Vickie! You ARE my soul sister! I LOVE Jim's pens and I LOVE EVERLASTING TIPS. They are the only tips I use now. If you get some SG washi, you'll have to let me know which pattern you got is your favorite one! 🙃
Hey Tina! Jim's pens are awesome! I totally agree! I've always thought the 3 bumps are the "perfect" pen. But, I have to say that I am really liking most of the turning styles my husband is doing so far too. I didn't think I would like the raised ridges, but if they are placed well, they actually make the pen feel like it's "molding" to your fingers. So, that's been a real surprise for me. Have a great week!❤
Ahhhh.... Thank you, Q.V. ! Glad you're enjoying the tutorials. Have a great weekend and keep a lookout 2 more videos are coming out very soon on the HAED process! 💜
I also started with the Amazon washi bulk & then ordered from Simply Gilded and was amazed! I’m only an hour from them so it came super fast and it’s so beautiful 😍
Hi April! The SImply Gilded washi is so much nicer and I LOVE the designs. I am SOOO jealous.... Oh my! You only live 1 hour away from them in McKinney...? I think I would be SOOO tempted to drive there for one of their warehouse sales if I lived even that close to them. 🙃
Hi Becky! Yes... It can be a DEFINITE advantage. But, on the flipside, I'm afraid he's going to figure out he can use the making of diamond painting pens as leverage to get out of his chores around the house.... I can hear it now..... "I could rake the leaves OR I could make you a diamond painting pen with leaves in it, which do you want?" I'm afraid my yard is going to be a MESS if that's the game he plays! 😄😄😄
Hi Donna! Seeing snow on November 12th was a REAL treat and surprise for me as well! Put me right in the mood for the holidays this year. Oh...! The washi, the washi... Love that washi... Can't wait to use it! I'm thinking you'll get some snow this year too! I was watching Kimba's Crafts channel the other day (she's great if you haven't seen her channel yet, you should watch it) and she is putting in a new craft room right now. She picked a wooly worm off the wall and it was ALL black. She didn't say anything about it at the time. But, wooly worms are supposed to be good predictors of the weather. That wooly worm had not brown middle in it. And, that's supposed to mean a severe winter is coming. So, I'm guessing her wooly worm is right this year. Guess we'll just have to see though... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get some good snows this year! ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄
A diamond painter & a pen turner live in the same house. That’s a match made in heaven! Yes, you should keep him ☺️ I haven’t fallen down the washi rabbit hole yet so I just have the ones that have come with kits. But that vintage Christmas washi is calling me!
I know! I know! And, I think he's fully aware of the power he has over me now! I'm afraid he's going to use it to get out of his "aroundthe house" duties like changing the cat litter box or something... I can hear it now.... I'll ask him to do something and he'll say "I could do that, OR I could go turn another pen for you....Which would you prefer?" Oh, that would be cruel! Oh yes... I LOVE the Christmas plaid with the stardust pattern especially. I am DEFINITELY using that one on my Christmas DP this year! So cute! Have a great week! 💜
I just started watching your videos and I just love your style. You give each unboxing and company a very nice detail review and your laugh is infectious. You do such a wonderful job & I love your husband’s pens! He is really talented.
Hi Karin! Thank you! Yes, I am very lucky in that! I saw your video where you were making flowers. 🌹 Very nice! I like the blue velvety one the best! That video was made in April 2021 and you mentioned some health concerns then. I hope you are doing MUCH better now. In your video I saw your beautiful home. On the wall were some pictures of dancing cows. I'm assuming that was for "Year of the Cow", which was 2021? Is that right? 🐮 Based on that and your name, I'm guessing you live in China? My husband visits Shenzen a lot and he loves going to China. He loves the people he works with there and the local Chinese food. They are always so nice to him when he visits. Thanks for watching my channel! I hope you are enjoying the videos and I hope you have a great rest of your week! 💜💜
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines Thanks, I live in Singapore. I have lumbar spine pain and breast cancer. I need to take opium and other painkillers to ease the pain every day. Basically, I am a bedside crafter. With no family support, especially my husband and son verbally abuse me.
@@karinyong2855 Oh Karen! I am so sorry to hear that. I hope that crafting and watching UA-cam videos help to give you some relief from all that you are going through. I will be thinking about you. Take Care, My Friend. ❤❤❤
Hey Becca! I know! I know! It's TOTALLY ridiculous, isn't it? I am definitely going to have to join SGWTA soon or my family is going to show up for an intervention, I think. 🙃
Hi Nicole! Thanks for commenting. I can't wait for the next HAED videos to come out either! Can't wait to get everyone's feedback on my new method! Have a great rest of your week! 😄
Thank you for such informative videos & the pens that your husband turned are GORGEOUS!!! I just started diamond painting a couple of months ago & pens have quickly become my obssession. I have a couple of Jim's pens in my Etsy cart ready to buy here soon. Keep up the wonderful videos.
Hi Cyndie! Oh a newbie diamond painter! I love it! I remember when everything was all new and shiny about diamond painting! What fun! Pens are addictive, that is for sure! Thanks for watching my channel! ❤
Hey Melissa! Glad you liked the video. Thanks! I hope it's a good thing that you feel like you're back in school. I have dreams about that sometimes, and it's always a NIGHTMARE for me. 🙃
Hi BlueDream106! Jim has a great shop! Gotta love his pens! The "and" explanation cracked me up too.... But, I knew if I didn't really explain it, there would be somebody that misunderstood and would miss out on it. 🙃
Hi Tami! I bet people spell your name wrong all the time, don't they? My name is the more traditional spelling of "Tammy"... But, people ask a lot if it's "y" or "i". Sorry to be your enabler on the washi... But, it IS beautiful washi... So, can't fault me for that one! 😊
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines Yes most people spell it like your spelling, but at this point in my life (62 yrs old), I don't really care how it's spelled as long as they say it right. Hahaha
Wonderful video. Snow can be pretty, especially when it’s fresh & powdery. However, I live alone so I am responsible for snowblowing my three car driveway. So, when I see snow I groan & trudge outside to clear my driveway. By the end of the winter my three car driveway has now become a one car driveway, because I get sick of snow blowing and only do the part behind my garage😅. Anyway enough about that. I’d love to see how you have all your washi tape organized at some point. And if you have a special organization system for your pens. Thank you for the informative video and I look forward to your next one!
Hi There Dragonlove! I use these for organizing my pens: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XPBDLVS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They have 48 slots, but I only put 24 of them in one of these because they are too cramped if you use all 48 slots, I think. It's not the "highest" of quality of cases, but it works to keep them organized and safe. For washi, I use these containers: amzn.to/3S6KLU2 They hold about 45 15mm rolls. I talked about them in this video: ua-cam.com/video/lW66-pEXac0/v-deo.html at time stamp of 47:30. They aren't the REALLY pretty washi clear stacking drawer types that some people have that really showcases the washi. But, I don't leave my diamond painting supplies out anyway... So, these work for my needs. You would have LOVED this snowfall then because the temps went up a bit later that day... And, even though we got 5 inches of snow, it only lasted a little over a day before it all melted away. You would have thought it was the PERFECT snowfall. For me, I got sad over it when it all started melting away. But, I think this year, we're going to get a LOT of snow because the wooly worms do not have a brown section in their fur this year. That's supposed to be a really good sign of a snowy winter... That's area specific though... So, where you live, maybe it'll be warm and 50's outside all winter! Well.... You can always hope, right? 🙃
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines Wow thanks for the info I appreciate it. I don’t need to store any pens yet since I only have two😁. but I’ve only been diamond painting since August, I’ll have lots of time still to start a collection. As far as temps go, I live in North Dakota so the likelihood of having a 50° winter is very slim. 😂
@@dragonlove1 Oh my gosh! You are just a "newborn" to the hobby then. Such a fun time! It's a great hobby and a great community of crafters... Trust me... The addiction will kick in hard at some point... But, in a "good" way. 🙃 On the temps... You gotta be positive, Dragonlove... I'm always a "glass half full" kind of gal. With the wacky weather we've all been having the last few years, ANYTHING is possible, right? 😀 But, on the other hand, since you live in North Dakota, you, better make sure that snow blower is ready to go, JUST in case... 😆
Omg what nice pens he does !! I can’t believe how many washi’s you got & I’m hoping to order some myself from Simply Gilded!! I need to quit ordering trays first tho!!! Love your channel & congratulations on all your subs🪷🪷
Hi Sandy! Jim has BEAUTIFUL pens, yes! I can't believe how many washi tapes I have either... Really... My recent washi tape addiction has been surprising to me, even. I like drill trays and I have a few from different suppliers, but I haven't really gotten into a drill tray addiction yet. Let's hope I don't. I don't really like to have lots of possessions that are really more than I need. I'm not really a collector of anything. At least, until diamond painting, that is. But, for now, I'm having fun with it! 💜
Hello! I found your channel through your HAED video & I love you warm humor! Thanks so much for showing your beautiful hauls. I just subscribed to look forward to more of your videos!
Ahhhhh!!!!! Thank you, shininshawol! I was curious about your profile name and had to look it up to see what it meant. So, I see you are a big "SHINee" fan... That's cool. Thanks for subscribing to my channel! Have an awesome week! 😃
Another exceptional video. I have watched all of them since seeing on with Lissette. You can tell a lot of thought and work goes into them. Your washi tape and pen haul are incredible & I will now be checking both of those shops out. I am really looking forward to the next video in your HAED series. The first one was so informative and answered so many questions I had. Give your husband kudos for his beautiful pens as well. I see that you use metal placers on your pens and am wondering if there is a particular shop that you could recommend to purchase some good thin ones. I have tried a few places and have not been happy with them. Sorry for the long post but your videos challenge me to do even better with my diamond painting. 🦆🦆
Hi Linda! That's for being a loyal watcher. I'm honored to have you watching my channel. Any subscriber of Lisette's is welcome to my channel. Lisette is great, isn't she? I really love her personality. I consider her as close a friend as I can have without never having met her in person before. I have to admit that I REALLY like Everlasting Tips on Etsy: www.etsy.com/shop/EverlastingTips These are from Australia, so they take a while to receive them after ordering. But, I don't think you would consider them thin tips. I know they work well for me. But, they are quite pricey too... The reason I really like them is because you can easily move the diamonds around after placement with THAT tip. I don't think the thin tips allow you to do that because you can't really "dig" an edge into the diamond to grip it to move. So, that's why I shy away from thin tips, myself. If you are looking for a truly thin tip, although I have not personally used these, I trust Katie with Diamonds and Washi's recommendation of these tips off AliExpress: www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802316856491.html If you buy them, expect it to take 3-6 weeks to receive them because they come directly from China. I know SHE absolutely loves them and she multi-places like crazy. So, I would give them a try if you're looking for a really thin tip. One thing I do notice when she multi-places with them is that if they she needs to adjust the drill placement she always does that with her single placer. So, there's the compromise. If you try either place, be sure to let me know what you think afterward. Also, thanks for the duck emojis. Cute! Have a great rest of your week!❤
Your husbands pens are incredible!!!! I love them & If you’re a Bengals fan you can still use the orange, black and white one 🤣 & that cherry pot pen 😱😱😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯🤯 gosh I mean, I just can’t even believe it.
Hi Coffee & Diamonds! Thanks! I agree. He's doing a great job on them! And, you are SOOO right... I didn't even realize that's Bengal colors. Good catch! That cherry pit one is pretty cool, isn't it? We're getting snow showers in our area again in the morning. Can't wait! It's supposed to be a light snow, but they say it's going to stick and with temps only getting to 34 as a high, maybe it'll last a bit. ❄❄❄
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines if he gets anymore cherry pit ones please let me pay him for one 🤣🤣 they are just so different from all the others I’ve seen. I love to look at snow but I hate being cold lol. I think we are expecting the same snow about an hour & a half after it starts for you guys. All that snow on Saturday was beautiful though. I couldn’t believe it was already snowing. I was walking my daughter down the street to & from a birthday party in between the heaviest parts lol. Our neighbors actually made a snowman. It was so cute. I remember when I was maybe 9 or 10 we had a foot of snow on Halloween. It was the year I was Princess Jasmine. I remember coming home from trick or treating and sitting on our fire place to warm up 🤣🤣🤣 not the best costume for a snowy Halloween lol. That’s the last time I remember getting so much snow so early in the season.
@@T1Diamondbetic I will definitely keep you in mind on the cherry pit pens if he gets any more blanks. Right now, his blank supplier is sold out of them unfortunately. ☹ We got robbed! No snow! So disappointed. It's even sunny outside right now! 😂 I am sure you froze in that costume! Isn't it funny how things like "snow" triggers memories. I have a very specific "snow" memory that always comes to mind when the first snow of the year falls. When, I was about 8, my sister was 10 years older than me. She drove and took me to McDonald's. I remember sitting at a table with all the windows around us and it was snowing really good. It was a treat to get to go to McDonald's at all. And, the snow was such a fun, wonderful bonus. ❄❄❄❄❄
Thank you for presenting these pens. I appreciate your explanation of the process of picking out a blank and having it turned. I was interested in looking for one but didn’t understand the turning was included with the blank. Peace and love abide with you 💕
I love the pens!! The pens your husband made are absolutely stunning! I hope he starts selling them! I'd definitely buy one! My favorite is the purple shiny one! You're washi tape collection is astounding! ❤️ Puts mine to shame 🤣 Been a quiet watcher for a few weeks now, your voice is soothing & your videos are very informative! I've been diamond painting for 3 1/2 years now ❤️ you're definitely in my top 5 favorite watch! Congratulations on 500-600 subscribers ❤️
Hi Amber! Ahhhhh!!! I'm blushing to know that I'm in your top 5 now. Wow! Thanks! I take that as a big compliment coming from someone that has been diamond painting for 3 1/2 years. I know diamond painting options have really evolved a lot since that time period too. So, you've seen a lot of changes in it, I am sure. I've been diamond painting a little over 2 years and I've noticed a lot more options and accessories becoming available since I started. And, the quality of things has really improved, I think. Yes, the purple shiny pen is pretty cool, isn't it?... He did a really good job on that one. Still though, the green bigger one is my favorite one that I've used of his so far. Washi is too much fun! I'm looking forward to having more variety to choose from. I don't think my husband would agree with you on the "soothing" voice, but thanks for saying it anyway! 🙃 Thanks for watching the channel! Glad you finally commented "quiet watcher"... 😀💜
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLinesplease convince him to make pens to sell 🤣 ❤️ Diamond painting everything has evolved so much since I started and I'm here for it! I learn something new everyday! @@SkyeBaby93 I agree... I thought when I first started diamond painting that it was just putting small plastic pieces on a adhesive... Oh... But, there's so much more to it once you get into the hobby. That's for sure! And, yes, no right or wrong way... It all depends on your particular circumstances... He's been flattered by how much you guys are all liking the pens he has been turning. I think he might start selling some in a bit. He started making them at first with just standard acrylic. But, now that he's found the Alumilite brand, he's having more fun making them, I think because he says that brand is like turning "butter" where the other was frustrating because it could chip easily. I'll be sure to let you guys know if he starts selling them. 💜

How to you clean your inserts to your diamond painting pens & I love diamond painting with you 😀😀 I get so excited when I see you uploaded another videos. Can't wait for the next one ☺️
Ahhh!!!! Glad you look forward to new videos. I will have a couple more up soon. Are you asking me how to clean the inside of the single and multi-placers? If so... Hmmm.. That's a good question... I have used metal placers for quite a while. And, the only thing I do to "clean" those is scrape out the wax every now and then with a plastic pointy tool I use. I don't actually wash them or anything. Hope that helps. Have a great rest of your week! 💞
Oh my! What fun.... I'm excited for you! You'll have to tell me which pattern you got that is your favorite so I can go look at it on their website and share in your new washi excitement. 💜

Oh my gosh....!! My husband knows I talked about him in that video and he's reading these comments. So, you guys are DEFINITELY going to give him the "big head" over this and I will have to put him back into his place soon, I think. Thanks for the nice comment! 🙃
We haven't had any snow yet this season, but there has been some up in the mountains around us. I'm in Southern Oregon so my area usually gets very little snow since the mountains steal it all. But the unfortunate part is that we get the cold weather without the benefit of the awesome snow! 😆 Our family doesn't do any Christmas decorations until the day after Thanksgiving. We like to have Halloween & Thanksgiving before we roll into the Christmas season. 😊 No judgement for those that do things differently though.
Hey Travis! Dang those mountains stealing all your snow! That's not nice of them at all! But, then again, you get to see snow on the mountains a lot too, right? So, I guess that's just the price you have to pay to be surrounded by all that beautiful scenery, huh? It's okay that you're all "bah humbug" until after Thanksgiving.... I mean, no "real" judgement from me..... (just teasing you here... 🙃). Oh my gosh! I just checked out your last video.. We both fell prey to the Woobles ad. I saw it and decided the same thing. I've always wanted to try crochet. And, when I saw that ad and saw that they are pre-started for you, I decided that sounds like fun. Hey Pam! 12 steps to learn how to use ALL that washi, you mean? That's what you REALLY meant by that? Right? 🙃 I think he doesn't so much want a career in it, as much as he wants the hobby to eventually "pay for itself" so he can do it as much as he likes but have all the materials paid for.

@@VEGE60 Yayyyy!!!!! I emailed you. I see you updated your comment. So, good to go! I will probably be sending out the pen tomorrow. I will email you when I get a tracking # for it for you. You have a great Thanksgiving too! 🦃
Hi Rosemary! Thanks! He's definitely thinking about it now that he's getting so much positive feedback from you all. Thanks for commenting. Have a great weekend! 💕
Nice Washi Haul! Did you snag anything during her gold Friday sale? I collect her washi so there wasn't much I needed but I got albums along with her new release washi. Your husband is so good at making pens! Thanks for bringing the excellent content & I can't wait for the rest of the HAED series.
Hey Jess! Thanks! I am WAY to in love with washi right now for my own good. But, I'm rollin' with it for a while, at least... Are you kidding me about the "Gold Friday Sale".... ? There was NO way I was going to miss out this time. Missing it last time is what set me off on my SG washi tape addiction in the first place. So, OH YES!!! I did buy something! I bought the Mystery Box of 60+ washi tapes, another "Pink Twinkle Garland" set because I just LOVED that one, the "Graphite Bow" set, the "Lanterns & Suns Stardust" set, the "Jack-O-Lantern Metallic Heart Lace Scallop" and the "Pink Glitter Wash Keychain"... Oh my gosh! If you collect the washi, I think that would be hard for me... I'd have to have 2 rolls of everything! One to collect, one to use! I'd be in REAL trouble then! He's reading these comments today, so he'll see your comment. Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the channel. Have a great week! 💕
Hi Jenn! I don't have a tutorial on glue dots yet, but they are AWESOME! Here's a video that Jade did on them about a year ago. ua-cam.com/video/6TheRbrXIIU/v-deo.html I really like to use the "micro" glue dots in my single placer. It takes a couple of minutes of use for the glue dots to "settle down" when you start. So, sometimes they will expand a little bit and you have to go back and use scissors to cut off the top edge of them if they are expanded outside the tip. But, after you get them "settled down", they last a REALLY long time. And, especially when they are new they give you that really satisfying "pop" sound. Don't use them with ABs though... They can take off the coating of an AB. Try them out. You'll LOVE them! Let me know if try them what you think. Have a great week! 💜
I just found your channel & am hooked. Love the pens that your husband made & hope I can win one. I am on my first project, of course, its a large one & the pen I am using is that pink straw you mention. Thanks for sharing your info
Hey Deborah! Welcome to my clan! Glad you're enjoying the videos! Oh my gosh! You are a newbie! How fun! If you find you're falling in love with diamond painting, first thing to upgrade is the pink straw! Especially if you are doing a big diamond painting. I know you didn't ask for a recommendation, but here's a couple of Amazon listings that I have purchased from in case you are interested at all to get you started... I love these "two pen" sets for $13: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0978SD6MW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 I have the "Orchid" set & the "Fuschia" set. They are very nice pens for $6.50 each. I prefer those sets because they are the "thicker" 3 bump pens. Some of the other sets in that listing are thinner. (You can tell by the pictures of them.) Somewhat thicker pens are usually a little more comfortable to diamond paint with when you have a long diamond painting "session". It makes the world of difference over the pink straw. I don't like the thinner ones myself. But, I can recommend the two sets in that listing that I mentioned above if you're looking. Also, here's a "single pen" listing that has several thicker 3 bump options to choose from for $5.90 each : www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09ZHQ6ZWQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 I would suggest you start with a low cost option like something similar to one of those listing to get a feel for what pen shape. I think from my observations, most people "like" the 3 bump thicker shape to start... At least before they go down the "rabbit hole" that is the more expensive custom pen options... Thanks for watching the channel! 💜
Hi Marit! Sorry to hear you're going through such a stressful event in your life. ☹ Hopefully, diamond painting will bring you some peace. It's such a relaxing craft to do. And, watching UA-camrs can be a nice distraction as well. Take care of yourself through all this. I hope you have friends and family to help you through this tough time.❤
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines only family I have,is my 3 kids. On the upside, I finally get my craft room. But I’ve lost my life partner. Trying to keep myself together, but not the easiest when battling anxiety and depression on top of everything else. Thank you for your kind words
@@maritfishgirl7357 Well... You will draw so much strength from your kids, I am sure. And, the craft room is an added bonus since you are a crafter. But, it's still going to be a rough transition, I am sure. But, you WILL make it through it... You have to for YOU and your kids. I wish you the best. 🤗🤗🤗
Diamond. thanks- pefect .
Thank You, Prohodaction! Have a great week, my friend! 😀
Thank you ;)
Hi Maggie! Glad you're enjoying the channel. Yes, I can't wait to get out the next HAED series videos too! 🙃
Love all the washi tapes & the pens you showed. Your husband is very talented. I find your videos very informative and love to watch you.
Hello Kathy! Thanks for all the great comments! Recording the videos is kind of hard for me... It's just not comfortable yet to me. But, I am loving the interaction with the community. Glad you're liking the channel. Hope you have a wonderful week! 💜
The green pen & the Halloween pen are beautiful! Your husband is very talented!
Thanks, Stacy! The green pen is actually my favorite one of all the pens he's made. It just feels right in your hand for diamond painting. 💜
The pens are beautiful! You are so lucky to have a hubby that is talented & has found a hobby he enjoys.😊
Thanks! He has been looking for another hobby the last year to take into retirement. I think he's found it, for sure. He really seems to be enjoying making different things and he's gotten pretty good at it, pretty quickly. So, I think that adds to the enjoyment for him. 😊
Washi tape & diamond painting pens are two of my favorite accessories! 😊
Hey Becca! Mine too, obviously! Glad you liked the video! 💕
I absolutely love all your new washi tape & the pens your husband turned!! Thanks for sharing 💖

Washi Tape & Dp Pens, match made in heaven!!😁😆, your videos are so enjoyable!!
Hi Norma! Yes, a match made in heaven, I agree! Glad you're enjoying the channel so far! Thanks for the feedback. 💕
I love the brown & white pen, the best washy tape was the zodiac & star ones. Have a great day ⭐️🌙🪐
Hey There Tijuana! I like that pen too! It just reminds me of snuggling up with a hot cocoa with marshmallows in it. Thanks! You have a great day too!😃
I love Simply Guilded washi too. Thanks for sharing your haul. ❤

Wow! Your husband is very talented and makes the most beutiful DP pens!
We also had some snow this week and its just magical.
I must say I loooove the cherry pit pen...

I have bought a few pens from Jim's shop & I love them! I also love the pens that your husband made. They are beautiful! Great video
I love your teaching style & I can't wait until you upload your HAED conversion method.
Ahhhh.... Thank you, Q.V. ! Glad you're enjoying the tutorials. Have a great weekend and keep a lookout 2 more videos are coming out very soon on the HAED process! 💜
I love your diamond painting pens they are gorgeous or stunning diamond painting pens
Hi Helen! Thank you! It's definitely fun to have some beautiful pens to work with on beautiful diamond paintings! Thanks for commenting! 💕
Your Husband turns the really nice pens, & you live in the same house what a great match .
Hi Becky! 😄😄😄
I love the pens your husband made & I believe he should start selling them. He’s very talented
Hey Christina! I know... He's gotten pretty good at making them in such a short period of time. I'll have DP pens in EVERY color, I think! 🙃
I love the Christmas & Thanksgiving washi tapes! Oh! The snow was beautiful too! I live in SC so seeing snow is always a treat!
Hi Tammy, Loved to see all the washi tape & pen unboxings. Can't wait to see your next video in your HEAD series . HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Hi DG4! Glad you liked that video. Yes, it's always fun to open new things! Happy New Year to you as well! 😄
Love your video & sharing your husband's talent. Thanks 😊
Hey Karyn! Thanks for watching the channel! Have a great "Monday"! 😀
I just started watching your videos and I just love your style. You give each unboxing and company a very nice detail review and your laugh is infectious. You do such a wonderful job & I love your husband’s pens! He is really talented.
Ahhhh! Thanks, Francesca. What nice compliments! You are making me blush... 😊 Glad you're enjoying the videos! Have a great upcoming week! 💜💜
Your husband is very talented, you are so lucky. He makes a very nice pen. Take care.
Hi Karin! 💜💜

All that washi tape would be so fun & creative to use on my paintings. Guess I will have to check out their site.
Hahaha
@@treelimbtlc I hear that! Too funny!
I use these for organizing my pens: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XPBDLVS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They have 48 slots, but I only put 24 of them in one of these because they are too cramped if you use all 48 slots, I think. It's not the "highest" of quality of cases, but it works to keep them organized and safe.
For washi, I use these containers: amzn.to/3S6KLU2
They hold about 45 15mm rolls. I talked about them in this video: ua-cam.com/video/lW66-pEXac0/v-deo.html
at time stamp of 47:30.

Hey Ms. April! Thank you! Glad you're enjoying the channel. Happy Monday to you!💜
Your husband does an amazing job making pens. I love the cherry pit pen & I wonder if it smells like cherries too. 🍒
Hi Keisha! Good thought on the smell. But, unfortunately, not really.. I would say it smells more like wood, than cherries. Thanks for commenting! 😊
Love your videos! The cherry pit blank is so cool!!
Hi There! Thanks! That cherry pit pen was pretty sweet, wasn't it? Glad you're liking the videos.
I have to admit that I REALLY like Everlasting Tips on Etsy: www.etsy.com/shop/EverlastingTips
These are from Australia, so they take a while to receive them after ordering.
If you are looking for a truly thin tip, although I have not personally used these, I trust Katie with Diamonds and Washi's recommendation of these tips off AliExpress: www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802316856491.html
If you buy them, expect it to take 3-6 weeks to receive them because they come directly from China.
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines haha no worries!!
Oh my gosh it it SO SUNNY!!!!! It’s crazy!!
That’s such a sweet memory!! I love it ❤️
Thank you for presenting these pens. I appreciate your explanation of the process of picking out a blank and having it turned. I was interested in looking for one but didn’t understand the turning was included with the blank. Peace and love abide with you 💕
Hi Bev! Glad you liked the pens! Jim's Handmade Pen Shop has some great blanks, for sure! 💜
I love the pens!! The pens your husband made are absolutely stunning! I hope he starts selling them! I'd definitely buy one! My favorite is the purple shiny one!
You're washi tape collection is astounding! ❤️ Puts mine to shame 🤣
Been a quiet watcher for a few weeks now, your voice is soothing & your videos are very informative!
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLinesplease convince him to make pens to sell 🤣 ❤️
Diamond painting everything has evolved so much since I started and I'm here for it! I learn something new everyday! I try news things aswell, some I love some I dislike, but it's okay! It's a hobby we do the way we are comfortable doing and there's no right or wrong way to do it!
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines I can't wait! That's awesome hubby found a hobby he likes and you both can enjoy (and hopefully *no pressure* we all can enjoy on day) ❤️ thank you so much for replying back to me! You're amazing! Have a blessed day!

Hi! So after your great washi tape experiment I had to get some from SG It's so pretty! 🥰😍
Oh my! What fun.... I'm excited for you! You'll have to tell me which pattern you got that is your favorite so I can go look at it on their website and share in your new washi excitement. 💜
Iove your videos, I haven't missed a video yet & I would love the information for the washi & pens

you are great & thank you
Well... Thank you, Peggy, for that simple and straightforward comment. 🙃
i think your husband is very talented & i think he should definitely start selling them
Oh my gosh....!!
So, I bought the bundle that has a bird, rabbit, bird & lion in it. I have received mine yet though. I saw you got Felix the Fox. That one is really cute! Good job on the unboxing of it! Can't wait to see it completed! Have a great rest of your week! 💕
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines Thank you so much. I appreciate your kindness and generosity for my Grinch-like behavior. 😁🤣 Felix the Fox is looking good. I wish he looked more like a fox, but I'm still enjoying the learning process. I hope you love the four you got when they arrive. I think they would make great Christmas/Holiday gifts as well. 🎄(That's all you're getting from me until the day after Thanksgiving 😱🤓)
@@TravisGetsCreative I'm sure Felix the Fox will turn out just fine after you stuff him with the fluffy stuff. Good one on the 🎄 Made me laugh out loud... 🙃
I should have just bought one to try first, like you did. That would have been the SMART thing to do, right... 😜 But, they all were SOO cute! I couldn't make up my mind... I almost bought just the fox one, but I really liked the lion one too.... Ugggghhhhh! Well... Like that ad for Woobles, I saw this ad on UA-cam this morning and I am just "trying" to resist buying this one too....
ua-cam.com/video/557VNXTAURk/v-deo.html
Ok... I was just trying to be funny with that.... 🙃 I'm NOT really going to buy that. But, thinking about it a little more... Who doesn't need a stuffed animal you can bounce like a basketball, right? Consumerism will be the death of us all ! Yikes! 🎄🎅🦌☃🎁 (And, that's all you're getting from me until my next reply to your comment... 😱🤓)
Thanks for showing all that beautiful washi tape! I've been looking at the Simply Guilded site and couldn't decide what to get. I loved the Sailor set & all the Star Dust washi. Those pens are gorgeous, kudos to your husband for doing a wonderful job!
What tips do you recommended for your specialty pens?
Hi Jen! The washi choices you are considering are GORGEOUS! I am in love with the stardust washi's.
For tips, I have to admit that I REALLY like Everlasting Tips on Etsy: www.etsy.com/shop/EverlastingTips
These are from Australia, so they take a while to receive them after ordering.
They are not the really thin tips though. A lot of people prefer thin tips. But, they work well for me. But, they are quite pricey too... The reason I really like them is because you can easily move the diamonds around after placement with THAT tip. I don't think the thin tips allow you to do that because you can't really "dig" an edge into the diamond to grip it to move. So, that's why I shy away from thin tips, myself.
Have a great rest of your week! 💜
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines Tammy, thank you so much for those recommendations. I will check them out!
I think you need a Washi 12-step program! I think your husband has a new career ahead of him turning pens.
Hey Pam! 12 steps to learn how to use ALL that washi, you mean? That's what you REALLY meant by that? Right? 🙃 I think he doesn't so much want a career in it, as much as he wants the hobby to eventually "pay for itself" so he can do it as much as he likes but have all the materials paid for.
Love your videos & this one all about pens and placers is great.

Hi "V B"! Glad you liked it! Have an awesome week! ❤

Your home looks so beautiful 😍 found your channel so new subscriber here TYFS 💜
Love all the washi tape & I’m on the website now shopping! May I ask - do you have a tutorial or how do you use a glue dot in a DP pen?
Hi Jenn! I don't have a tutorial on glue dots yet, but they are AWESOME! Here's a video that Jade did on them about a year ago. ua-cam.com/video/6TheRbrXIIU/v-deo.html
I really like to use the "micro" glue dots in my single placer. 💜
@@DiamondPaintingBetweentheLines Thank you!
I love these "two pen" sets for $13: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0978SD6MW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I have the "Orchid" set & the "Fuschia" set. Also, here's a "single pen" listing that has several thicker 3 bump options to choose from for $5.90 each : www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09ZHQ6ZWQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I would suggest you start with a low cost option like something similar to one of those listing to get a feel for what pen shape. I think from my observations, most people "like" the 3 bump thicker shape to start... At least before they go down the "rabbit hole" that is the more expensive custom pen options... Thanks for watching the channel! 💜
Thank you for your recommendation. I am doing a jasmine beckett griffith..and love it. Cant wait to do more of her Dps
