Hi Y'all !
This is Diamond Art Club’s First Every Mystery Box Unboxing. I’ll be unboxing
4 never-before-seen kits with 1 being a mystery kit, 2 fan favorite kits and a bonus gift.
If you’ve watched other unboxings of the DAC Mystery Box, be aware, there’s actually
3 different versions of it. So, stay tuned to see which version I got! Also, I will
be fully unboxing 3 different canvases in this video. So, check them out!
Note:
I will only be looking at the outside of the box on the mystery kit in this video.
But, I will be posting a separate video that will FULLY unbox the mystery kit and
I’ll slowly reveal the entire canvas and the drills giving you lots of warnings and
spoiler notices. I know what the mystery kit’s image is already and IT’S AMAZING!

Hi Janine! I get it... I debated for 10 minutes on it and I think I almost missed out on it myself. I love the Halloween events, so not getting a Halloween DP would make me very sad... ☹ The sweets one is interesting... I LOVE the purples and pinks in it. If it wasn't for the extreme amount of background, I think I'd like it more. Thanks for watching the video!
Great video! But I'm glad I didn't order these mystery boxes because I would have really been disappointed, seemed like to much darkness for me. I'm more of the colors for me kits!!😁
Hi Norma! Yes... I like brighter colors as well.... My mystery box had several dark canvases in it. But, mine was the 3rd version. Version 1 & 2 only really had one dark one, which was Magical Portal by Enys Guerrero. And, I liked the canvas better than the Enys Guerrero one that I got. I just didn't get the best luck of the draw... But, then again, you can always trade DPs. So, you can always trade for ones that you like better, at least most of the time, that is.... Mystery kits and mystery boxes are very intimidating to me. I have to be careful with what I spend my money on and the thought of getting something I don’t like makes me very anxious. Therefore I don’t do any. But I love watching creators unbox them and work on them😂
I get what you are saying... I'm like that. I don't really want to do artwork I don't love. The only suggestion I can offer to that is to watch unboxings of the mystery kits and try to be a detective and look up the artwork on the artist''s website. Then, you can make a decision if you like the artwork works for you. Doing a mystery kit can be fun because of the black and white nature of the canvas. You literally get to experience it "coming to life" without having any idea of what it is at first. Stepping back from an area and finally figuring it out, can be fun. Thanks for comment! I thought about doing what you said, but to me the fun and excitement of a mystery kit is to not know what you’re completing until it’s done. Maybe what I should do is start with a very, very small mystery painting and if I like the experience I can upgrade

I watched your two videos and I think you did great. I didn't get in on the mystery box. It would of been a great idea every once in awhile to go out side your comfort zone. I think the mystery boxes were an excellent value. It’s nice to break out of our comfort zone once in a blue moon. I was lucky enough to get the first box. I really loved the landscape kit and the mystery. The Spangler was on my wishlist as was the boy who lived. No complaints at all. You are doing a great job with your videos by the way.
Hi Jess! Oh, I think they were a good value too! And, if you get something you REALLY don't think you'll do, there's so much trading of diamond paintings going on in the community, that I think for a lot of DPs, you can just trade them for something else you would like to do. Even though you didn't buy the mystery box you can live "vicariously" through the unboxings on UA-cam, right? Buying that mystery box was a stretch for me too, since I like to be a detective. Great idea using the drills for your HAED projects.
Love your name... "Diamond Painting Peacock".... That's cool! I have to admit, I do feel a "twinge" of guilt about taking those drills from a diamond painting kit. But, on the other side, I am a practical person. And, I know, I will never actually do that particular kit. The Potions Professor just doesn't do anything for me at all! There have actually been several kits on DAC's site that when the price went down to $15 or less that I have thought about buying just to get the drills. Makes me feel a little like a diamond painting "cannibal". But, what the heck, right? Thanks for your comment. Have an awesome day! 😄
love those last 2 kits. I really only do dark fantasy and horror stuff so this woulda been nice to have.
Oh yes.... Then my version that I received of the mystery box would have been PERFECT for you! I like some dark fantasy. I like when they have an evil look on their faces and are dressed for the part. I just don't get into the blood or gore aspect. I really like when they're done in sepia tones. I was not sure about the mystery box, but decided the value was worth it and couldnt be more happy. Got the same kit as you and other then deadly sweet loved them all. Just found your channel and am enjoying your videos and look forward to more. I especially can't wait for your HAED crossstitch conversion video series.

I’m working on the mystery kit right now.. I got a general idea by looking at canvas but did not look up the actual art work. I like watching it just come to life in color as I go
Hey Monica! That's cool. I get that approach. Some people take it to the extreme and have someone cover up the canvas with release papers for them so they get NO clues. I am not the brave yet! But, someday, I should try that method just to see... You never now, I might love the excitement of seeing it all come together one section at a time. Thanks for the comment! 😀

Your perspective is VERY logical, Vickie. And, I'm normally a very logical person, so I totally agree with your approach. If I wasn't on the verge of launching my channel right then, I think I would have tried to resist the urge and pass on it. You're right.... At most, we are about 1 1/2 hour away from each other I think. Until just a few years ago, for about 8 years I used to drive up I-71 to Newport Aquarium every 2-3 weeks or so. I was a volunteer scuba diver there. So, I'm familiar with your area. I am actually planning on giving Fenya a try since it has sepia-like tones and I haven't done one of those yet. But, I'll keep you in mind should that change. Thanks for the nice comments. 💜

@@T1Diamondbetic Wow! It is SUCH a small world, isn't it? That's cool that you got married at Newport Aquarium. It's a great aquarium and they take SUCH good care of the animals there. They get REALLY high quality food and care. I have actually played a part in a lot of marriage proposals at Newport Aquarium. Sometimes when someone wants to propose, they will ask us to help while we are diving... We will be diving in one of the exhibits, usually in one of the acrylic tunnels, like the "Surrounded by Sharks" exhibit. They will go in the tunnel and we'll be there with a "Will You Marry Me" sign hidden in the gravel. And, we'll go up to the acrylic and wave at them and get their attention and maybe play a game of "Rocks, Paper, Scissors" with them. Then, we'll pull out the sign and show it to the girl and the guy will get down on one knee and propose. I love being part of the marriage proposals. It's fun to watch how surprised and excited they are. And, we always get them to show us the ring. Such fun! 🙃

While these mystery boxes were obviously totally worth the money, I guess I’m too picky to get one of these. LOL. That’s why I’ve never ordered a mystery kit. I’m just so afraid that I’d do all that work and then not like the diamond painting (or at least get a quarter/third of the way through to kinda see what the picture is going to be). I have a huge stash so it’s not like I’m looking for something to do. LOL.
I get that, Lisa. I can be picky too. It's a huge investment of time in doing a DP. So, you really want to know that you are going to enjoy them when completed. That's why I "cheat" with mystery paintings by getting clues from sneak peeks and hunting down what the artwork actually is before buying them. They are still fun to do, even when you know what the artwork is because you're still seeing it "jump to life" from just a white canvas with black symbols on it. The mystery box for me was a "one off"... Just had to get in on that fun this time, at least! 😄
