At the time of delivery, Zeus asked Hephaestus to open his skull with an ax: Athena was born from her head, launching a war cry and being an adult. The fear of Zeus was the macicenos of her, thanks to that she inherited beauty, wisdom and strength, without a doubt the best goddess of all.

This is true as far as Hesiod's Theogony is concerned, though in this same account Hephaistos was conceived only after Athena emerged from the head of Zeus. However, in most versions of Athena's birth, Metis is not involved and even in the few accounts where she is mentioned as Athena's mother, Zeus is usually already married to Hera when he impregnates Metis and already has several children.
Athena, the daughter of Zeus, was produced without a mother and emerged full-grown from his forehead. An alternative story was that Zeus swallowed Metis, the goddess of counsel, while she was pregnant with Athena so that Athena finally emerged from Zeus.

Except the second child escape from the Realm of Hades.
@@RandomizedEditz3 it does in metis hmm
@@RandomizedEditz3 we don't know I consider myths as history and there are many things of past we don't know ,and remember metis was not only goddess of wisdom but also goddess of cunning, planning and counseling and prophecies in Greek or in any myths always come true, she has certainly tricked zeus in original myths ,and the son was born but she somehow found a way for her child to escape from zeus he might have grown in mortal realm only to grow stronger and end Greek gods era and therefore we don't see any Greek gods now, possibly Greek inhabitants died too only few to survive this was a Renaissance of Greek with no gods and therefore they don't exist
I don't certainly think that this prophecy didn't come true they always come true if it didn't tell me where is zeus and other gods now who was said to be immortal (can't die of age )
Amazing video.
I also liked the way they tell this part of the greek history but as the last one Athena was first born of Zeus, she was born way earlier than Hephaestus, ares Or any other children of Zeus, only the difference was she was raised Inside Zeus by metis and it took a while for athena to strike Zeus head and make him feel. Pain and during this ares, Hephaestus were born but athena was born way earlier
The fact that zues took a note from his dad and eat his children
Imagine minding your own business but suddenly the god of thunder harass you.
i love this video because i was athena for my class progect and i loved this vid i just loved it so much tysm
Kratos : hold my beer
“HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THE LESSONS I TAUGHT YOU?”
-Goddess of wisdom, Master of war
In other versions, Zeus absorbed her soul so she could provide him with wisdom.
congrats on the 1million subs bro
I feel bad for Metis and I wish the second son will born😁
@Meimme Wolf I bet it doesn't smell very good in there.
He was and therefore Zeus doesn't exist today
Zeus: *Intense thinking
Athena: It’s my time to shine
It sprang from the head of Zeus. He, married to Metis, swallowed it when he found out that she was pregnant with her, since she had predicted that one of his sons would dethrone him.
This recommended everyday! There! I clicked it!! Happy?!

@@omniavanitas7893 I bet gaia regret warming Zeis about the prophecy; concerning she gave birth to A child for the purpose of overthrowing zeus.
"Men does not know the pain of bringing a birth"
Zeus....
Athena, the daughter of Zeus, was produced without a mother and emerged full-grown from his forehead. An alternative story was that Zeus swallowed Metis, the goddess of counsel, while she was pregnant with Athena so that Athena finally emerged from Zeus.
“A boy stronger than his father who would take away his power.”
*inhales* Kratos
He is not part of mythology
This is gonna be fine the story of Athena was fine this will be good the goddess of wisdom is so cool
Its very interesting seeing YT videos showing different interpretations of zues
The second child was the God of science, whom overthrew Zeus and made him myth
Zeus: "A cat is fine too"
It would be wonderful if the second child was also born and would dethroned Zeus. I wonder what would be the role of that 'god' though?
Will you be making a video about the Titanomachy? 👀
Great video! Hopefully you’ll make the Spanish version too 🤩
Ares/ Aphrodite: aw how'd you too meet
Athena is a Goddess of Wisdom but doesn't have Knowledge to Differenciate what's Right and wrong (Example On Medusa)
Medusa was a monster since she was born.
There are so many versions of this myth.
1:16 ma guy just CANT keep his hands to himself
Imagine if he didn’t actually try to eat her, she just turned into water to scare him and she just accidentally fell into his mouth, and him just wondering where the heck his wife meant
I love this very interesting and your voice 👍❤
I didn't know about Zeus's grandfather all I know his father chronus I just know today
Chronus also overthrow his father it is the cycle of power for these gods
Oh thanks
1:07 why does this sound like a fanfic.
Wait a second! if Metis had the power to shapeshift why didn't she turn into something else and come out of Zeus too?
Zeus magically locked her Inside
Its plot don't ask.
Please make a comic video on heracles or hercules
I came to think that if the prophecy came true the child who will surpass zeus will be kratos its amazing that there will be alot of lore behind this
That was Mind Blowing 😂
So that's how the story of Kratos started!!!
Hardly.
The story that inspired kratos but the mark warrior could be kratos and deimos both since they are both the son of zeus, and even if kratos was killed or taken Deimos would take his place thus starting the mark warrior prophecy.
@@cromugus Deimos is not the son of zeus..he is the son of ares and twin of phobos
@@eldonsmith5387 hes the son of Zeus in god of war didn't you see what was commented here i mentioned Kratos and this section was a god of war joke.
what's de background song?
Some theorists argue that this was how Venus came into being. It came out whole from Jupiter. It is the only left turning planet in our solar system.
Where can we read these Comics?
