The 'Who do you think you are?!" line just flummoxed me. They're a private company, that's who. Nobody has a 'right' to a Twitter account.
It's, almost like, someone who doesn't understand a private companies terms and services shouldn't be a position of public office. It's a shame that there is literally no prerequisites to being in control of the direction and lives of millions of human beings. That one dude lied about his whole life and has a job. I can't imagine lying and keeping my fuxking job. I can't believe we have people in congress with 2nd grade reading levels. I can't believe some how they were voted in...like I meet a lot of not Americans and they all say Americans are dumb and more and more I'm starting to believe the majority of Americans are terminally ignorant...

First Amendment protects individuals from government censorship. Social media platforms are private companies and can censor what people post on their websites as they see fit.
I was going to make this exact point! Just like a store or restaurant can ban a person from entering or a school can suspend or expel a student, or dating apps can ban suspicious accounts/people, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc have every right to ban whomever they want. I'd expect a congressperson to know - like, base-level knowledge for admission to the building here - that the 1st Amendment provides protection specifically from the government limiting speech. Twitter is a company, not the government, and is in no way required to serve as a platform for others' views if they wish not to be. If they want to be biased, they're free to do so.

Yep. You got it exactly right. They are threatening a private platform for making choices that they imagine might favor one political party over the other. Despite the fact that private companies are entitled to free speech and have the right to promote or not promote whatever speech they prefer.
Exhibit A: Fox News. Whose newscasters and runners took daily calls and requests from Trump‘s administration about what they should and should not say or promote. As a private company, that was their right and remains so until this day.
