I think part of the reason the people you're recruiting to your guild are working out is because of how you're presenting yourself in these videos. You come across as a no bullshit hardcore type of person. That's an attractive proposition for a potential guild. We kinda know what we're getting into up front. I've been tempted myself, but I'm just not going to be able to put in the time that would be required.
I’ve always said “In 5 years from now, you wont remember the loot. You’ll remember the people who you played with.” I will say, you’re fighting an uphill battle. Most people in this game do not care about the group over themselves. It’s all about me, myself and I. I have been witness to some insane behavior over pixels on a screen. You become very jaded after you’ve been dealing with grown boys. With the AH and the economy completely screwed (150g+ for Titans), the current time investment required to raid at a semi-optimal level is insane.
not sure how i even got recommended your channel. but i rly resonate w what you said considering im closer to the beginning of something quite similar regarding making meaningful connections through games with people you wouldn’t meet otherwise. cool shit :)
As I am a new WOW player and not have much experience playing with other people. I believe that the main problem is that there’s so many people who aren’t willing to connect and just solo grind whether if its COD, POE, League, and ect.. It’s very discouraging to look for connections when nobody else is trying to aswell. And I am sure everybody else is the same its some weird Feedback loop thats never ending.
Hmu in discord and we can talk about it A LOT. But basically you get good at leetcode problems. That is all that FAANG places care about. They have 160k+ starting offers for new grads. And i mean 160k is the MINIMUM. jakefromtree on discord. DM me. Ill prlly ask if you are looking for a guild, but then just tell me its about programming lmao
it makes me sad that youre on the pvp server. I decided a long time ago, allowing random shitheads the ability to waste even more of my time than I'm already wasting trying to get something done on an absurd grind, just isnt an option. I torment myself with the grind not because "its fun" (that ended years ago) but because of the reward at the end of getting to finally play with the same people in a guild long enough to form acquaintance level friendships that could end in a second with just right amount of drama. Hearing people like you that have the same views and philosophies as me in so many ways, but not be able to actually find people like that in guilds over the years is incredibly demoralizing.
Its not anything like 2019 pvp wise. Maybe it will be later, but atm its fine. I get screaming mad about wpvp. Hit me up in discord. Maybe you just talk to people in our discord (youll end up rerolling i bet)
@@JakeFromTree I wish i could extract the levels from all the characters ive worked on since the servers went live- I have a HC char, and multiple chars on horde and ally PVE (my horde guild on WoTLK/Cata decided to roll Ally and I was a week into playing before i reconnected with them) Whenever I start on a server I roll a hunter for fast leveling to get an income rolling, then a priest for processing cloth into bags and DEing stuff, the a druid for picking herbs and LW, etc etc... Ive always been self reliant and i takes so much time. The PVE server is crowded AF and layered into oblivion with hyperspawns at some of the most inconvenient times, if ganking were added to that, idk... I'll prob start a char before reaching out, so i dont waste anyones time but my own. :)
