Omar Garsh I’ve done a few sets over the years, always on Audi’s and I’ve always used a jug of red hot water. Drop them in for a minute or 2 and put some gloves on. The water also helps as a bit of a lube then use a hooked pick tool to pull on the back of the rubber
How dare life interfere with a project car! 😉 You look exhausted, Sarah. Take care of you, please. We will still be here should you need a short vacation.
I guess of all the problems to have just be thankful it's not the "hose of death" I've heard so much about. An oil hose that always goes bad on these cars and you have to take the entire engine out just to change it. Great work! It's nice to see women in the industry!
"its always the easiest jobs on a car that turn out to be the hardest" pretty sure thats one of the 10 car commandments. i tried to bleed my brakes before just to have the bleeder valve snap. another case was recently went to change the caliper on my truck took 3 hours to get one bolt off... i dont have many tools.
Sarah, as someone who has had chronic health issues affecting my productivity level for many years now, may I just say: hang in there! It's not easy when things don't sort themselves out easily, but you have the determination to find a way, and I know you will.
Excellent video again Sarah, great to watch. Talk about attention to detail, I can’t believe you even drew an asymmetric tread pattern on the tyres on your little diagrams! Make sure you listen to your body and stop when you need to, we don’t mind a slower pace while you recover.
Sarah, you look and sound exhausted. Please don’t neglect your health for UA-cam. You need and deserve a holiday. Go camping with friends or take a nice scenic drive somewhere. It’s good for the soul. Recharge your batteries and get well. Your true fans will still be here when you come back.
Hope you feel better soon always enjoy your videos. Your videos keep the mechanic spark in my eyes and inspire my drive for my future refurbishes/restorations
Please take care of yourself, Sarah. The Father in me worries about you sometimes. Good call on the ball joint spacers. Really helped when I installed some in my Cooper S.
I really appreciate how through you are when working on your cars. A lot of people would replace the parts and not clean anything. I'm really happy you are doing a complete job on that suspension. Gotta keep safe! I was waiting for a "That's what he said" and you didn't disappoint! I know it's silly but I miss the "Count" imitation when you count something. I thought it was cute. I guess Liz went back to NJ. You guys are great together. Thanks for another fun episode in the life of Sarah and Mr. Dos.
I’ve finally caught up. Started with the focus, moved to the TT and finally with the glorious Mr Dos with a sprinkling of vlogs and reviews mixed in. Late to the party but not disappointed! The detail you go into for normal people working in a garage, with for the most part basic tools a lot of us have is amazing. One of the best car channels going around. You are doing an excellent job. Will have to send some Australian number plates to add to the collection!
SO TRUE! The easiest jobs ARE the most difficult!!!! I just recently did an easy project that should have took me "20 min" and it took me "2.5 hours" because I ran into so many issues.
I'm jealous of how clean your MR2 is. The underside of mine is just rust everywhere. I'll probably only get a couple years out of it before I need a new one.
Take it easy, don't run yourself into the ground on our account until you get on top of the health thing! Pedals are a pain in the butt to work on, I had to fabricate and fit a brake light sensor recently, the frustration here is real. :)
Glue sand paper or skateboard grip to your pedals, you won't regret it, thousands of race car drivers swear by it, I've always done it to my cars, no matter how wet or greasy your shoes are you'll never slip. Love your videos, hope you get better soon.
You are one to buy a car from. Love ya so much..These video's are the closest I will get to meeting you, so I hang on your every word. Your so inspiring to all of us. p.s. I really dig the gump shirt lol. You rock it! thank you for being you
You should send the ball joint back and see if you can get another that fits instead of milling out that block. Wouldn't want to take too much meat off of that block or weaken it.
Nice pedal covers. I installed diamond cut covers on mine which required drilling holes in the pedals and bolting on the new ones. It's been awhile but I think I just drilled in to the oem gas pedal too.
Any time you are having trouble installing that stuff, rubber molded. 1- put it in the sun first. 2- use that fancy heat gun if 1 doesnt work. Warm it up. Anything that isnt pliable that should be, warm it up. Even if in a cup of hot water. Also, use "soapy water" for "lube" on rubber parts when possible. Petroleum lubricants attack rubber.
use a small allen key as a punch and pack the other side so it dosent move around while you hitting it, i once used a green plastic brick plug and a nail to hold a break caliper in place while i drove it to get a replacement, got my lefty loosy righty tighty mixed up and snapped the head of the nut off lol
That is an awesome MR2! Works, looks and will most definitely be better than the showroom model. Way to go Sarah! Really looking forward to the "real" first drive, where you give it the beans!👍👍👍👍👍
I am new to your channel. Seeing you (pardon the word choice) struggle with working on your MR2 brings back memories of my Air Force mechanic days. I'd do battle with vehicles. Some days I won. Some days I had my butt handed to me. Some days I'd say if I broke my arm here and here I could reach that one last bolt. I look forward to more videos.
Dos is getting seriously sorted. Sarah high quality workmanship as always, great editing, funny and cute. Viewer satisfied. Just take care of yourself ok?
Not that I don't like the car reviews, but THIS is the thing I want to see. Hard work. By someone else. 😎 BTW you can go online and get some cheap toe plates, 2 tape measures and do simple alignments to get you down the road until you get to the alignment rack.
Love how you go into detail, and clean everything up real nice. Makes me feel like I really fail though, trying to have a clean car in this Scandinavian winter environment😂 But that's ok I guess. - Everything beside the climate is good, and I've not decided where or how I should do the move so... 💁🏼♂️
What's up Sarah of the Garage. I hope you get your health thing situated, and you get back to 100% again. 👍🏻 I know you're very limited in space in the garage, but putting a small enclosed sand-blasting cabinet in a corner would be a really quick and helpful tool when cleaning up old and dirty parts off of older vehicles. 👍🏻
Keep up the great work on Mister Dos. It's giving me the inspiration to work on my suspension. Oh by the way, as soon as you said you couldn't snap with your left hand I had to try, lol. Turns out I can.
If you have to pound on balljoints like that and actually need to save the threads you can leave the castle nut on - or flip it upside down or find a sacrificial nut. Windex makes a good lube for rubber parts.
It took my forever to figure out how to snap with my left hand. But what helped was looking at my right hand in it's snap ready position and try to mirror it with my left, which was still crazy hard because I'm really bad at left-handed things 😅
Sometimes I have had luck using a finishing nail in place of a tiny punch. I say sometimes because depending on how tight the pin is the nail bends rather easy. Maybe worth a shot
@@SarahnTuned You know, you can be exhausted even if you sleep enough, if you're too stressed. I know you do those car reviews partially as a relief from "work", but it's still work kind of. I think I heard you saying (one of those Q&A's) that you work 80 hours per week on your social media things. That's a lot if you do it for an extended time. Some can take it longer than others, but it'll catch you evetually. Anyway, I don't mean to rant or lecture or anything, you're a grown up woman. Just that I almost drove myself too deep thinking that I can handle it. Took few years (not 80 hours per week, but also no holidays and never completely off the work mode), but it did catch me too. As for the nutrient part, not trying to diagnose via a YT video, but there are conditions like IBS and IBD (I have the latter) that can do that. And they tend to thrive from stress... Ok, I'm off. Thanks for the vid and take care of yourself 🤘
the MR2 show car driver category next level stuff HUMMM interesting / order another ball joint see which one you get ? what fun ! the car appears to be shaping up nicely.
Get well. I am very interested in the MR2 final. A lot of guys miss the significance of too much drop seriously messing the tie rod and anti-roll bar function.
Really enjoyable vid Sarah, and know you're committed to your posting schedule even at great cost to yourself. Hope you can sort out your health problems soon, you're awesome 😁🤘
Hot water always helps with pedal covers, it softens the rubber up
I was thinking heat gun or hair dryer.

hot soapy water
Good editing on this video, everything moved along at a brisk pace without appearing rushed.
Ramon Punsalang Funny thing is, this video was super simple to edit.
How dare life interfere with a project car! 😉

I am impressed with your attention to detail in the function of MR2's steering dynamics ... You Rock!
Every time I see that car I'm so impressed with what you've done!
Sarah: "Just gonna put on these pedals. Should be easy."
Mister Dos: *laughs in Toyota
Physically down, yet you're still getting to it. You are a real trooper.

5:30 i hear you. I had to use the presses full force to break my bushing free. I used a trash can lid as a shield!
Sarah your sense of humor is awesome , I hope you feel better I tell you what.
That's an astonishing amount of work you've done on Mr Dos. I hope you have a lot of fun driving it when it's finished
Gotta love the ol bushing replacements. I had to torch my old ones off...but now, I'm dealing with rebuilding a bad engine I purchased used.
YES! ....Roll center correction indeed your are awesome Sarah 👌 ....and if you must use sockets under the press; try to use impact sockets 😎
Excellent video again Sarah, great to watch. Talk about attention to detail, I can’t believe you even drew an asymmetric tread pattern on the tyres on your little diagrams! Make sure you listen to your body and stop when you need to, we don’t mind a slower pace while you recover.
Tah dah! Don’t sweat these people that give you shit! They aren’t the one putting in the work! Do it your way! You got this!💖

Sarah I too have a medical thing going on. On your good day’s try not to push it to hard. Enjoy them as we enjoy you and your videos
Hope you feel better soon always enjoy your videos. Your videos keep the mechanic spark in my eyes and inspire my drive for my future refurbishes/restorations
Lots of progress even though you're under the weather, take time for yourself and work at your own speed, we'll be here.
it sucks that they send two diff parts but can do it because you are super sarah thanks for another smile
Please take care of yourself, Sarah. The Father in me worries about you sometimes.
Good call on the ball joint spacers. Really helped when I installed some in my Cooper S.
Take care of yourself Sarah. We are all concerned about you and want to see you back to full health. Another Great video.
I love that I learn something new with each of these build vids!! Thanks a lot!!!❤️❤️

Nice, a bit more progress, always good to take sensible precautions with the press. Hope you start feeling better soon.
I love how OCD, CDO, it should be alphabetic order, you are. It makes me feel ok about how i try to keep my car clean. Thank you for that. 😁
Sarah please do not neglect your health, we need a healthy Sarah to keep making this excellent VLOGS
SO TRUE! The easiest jobs ARE the most difficult!!!! I just recently did an easy project that should have took me "20 min" and it took me "2.5 hours" because I ran into so many issues.
We now return to regular Sarah programming, thank you!
One of UA-cam's hardest workers. I like the watery background music.
I'm jealous of how clean your MR2 is.
The underside of mine is just rust everywhere. I'll probably only get a couple years out of it before I need a new one.
Warm up the rubber, it gets softer and will slip on easily. 80 deg C, ie boiled water just cooled a bit and they will slip on easily. Love your work.
Thanks for all the MR2 work, it is helping me with my own 91 MR2 project :-)
Mine too. Best of luck with yours.
Yep, my 91 as well. Mine runs and drives but the suspension could be better.
Thank you for sharing honey, I know you have health issues and I love that you're still able to bring us such wonderful things.
Thanks to this video.... my oven is now clean.

Hope you feel better Sarah. Another great video.
Always fun to watch your show, Sarah. You do a GREAT job!
Cool! The new bushings match the paint!!

sarah thanks for making these vids i really enjoy them take care
Get well soon!
Get well soon!!
Cheers from a Yank with a Land Rover Discovery 2 and quarantined on lock down while living in the UK!
I hope you Feel better Sarah.I love you bye.
Use a small drill bit for the punch and put a block of wood between the pedal and carpet 👍
Love these videos! Thanks for your amazing humor and dedication to these lucky projects.

I’m impressed with your tool collection. Looks like Snap-On and Milwaukee 👍🏻
Feel better soon.
In the UK, we have a different standard of "disgusting". Your car is CLEAN!
Hi Sarah suspension upgrades and replacements looking good. That car mrdos should handle brilliantly nice job Sarah 🐧🐧👍👍🤗🤗
This MR2 is basically a new car with all the work and parts put into it dudett 😊🤙🤘
I look forward to your videos every week. They keep me entertained, out here at Abram's Creek Campground. THANK YOU!!!
Thank you Sarah, now I'm over here snapping my fingers and people are looking at me crazy. Lol.
It took my forever to figure out how to snap with my left hand. But what helped was looking at my right hand in it's snap ready position and try to mirror it with my left, which was still crazy hard because I'm really bad at left-handed things 😅
Hard work 😓 pays off 🤩 you are a rock star car builder...
Full inuendo overdrive! Yay!!!! First minute, knowing smile at the camera and a cheeky slap on the tyres rear, Naughty :))
Sometimes I have had luck using a finishing nail in place of a tiny punch. I say sometimes because depending on how tight the pin is the nail bends rather easy. Maybe worth a shot
Another Great video. You look tired sometimes. Need to rest up. It’s a balance between work and rest. Best wishes from the Uk 👍👍
AC Drones It’s not lack of sleep, it’s lack of nutrients from the food I digest because of whatever’s wrong with me. Sucks.

Sending you healing vibes beautiful Sarah : )

Seamless! Delightful.
Thats what he said!😂😂😂....Never gets old!
Good job and Thank You Sarah. I really appreciate all your hard work!
Hope you get well soon!
The mr2 looking so good
You need a bench vise for that gas pedal. did mine last month. and its just two bolts to take it out.
Get well. I am very interested in the MR2 final. A lot of guys miss the significance of too much drop seriously messing the tie rod and anti-roll bar function.
Great video, its spot on for diy project cars
Bench grinder with wire wheels in place of grinder wheels. I clean the crud off everything with it and much easier than drill/ wire wheel.
Use a steel nail and something wedged between the Trans tunnel and the pedal to stop it moving around.
Sarah, soften the new pedal rubber with a hair dryer or a heat gun so the rubber can be soft making it easy to install.
Really enjoyable vid Sarah, and know you're committed to your posting schedule even at great cost to yourself. Hope you can sort out your health problems soon, you're awesome 😁🤘
Love the glasses ... they really suit you
