Awesome! What a beautiful day and amazing mountains! We love the North Cascades. 💚💚 That’s a lot of switchbacks to get started and a lot of elevation gain total. So cool to see the mountain goats!! We hiked to the pass and lake several years ago, would love to hike this one again and get up to the glacier this time. Great video and info- thanks friends!! 👌👍👍🏔️🏔️
This one has been on our list a long time. Our first hike in the North Cascades, which is a loooooong drive from Tacoma! It didn't disappoint. The final push to the glacier is a bit nuts, but the view is worth the effort. That said, just getting to Sahale Arm and the ridgeline was pretty satisfying.
@@3MinuteHikes It sure is a long drive for you guys! We live north of Seattle, so it’s not quite so bad- but still a very long day. Great job getting up to the Glacier!! 🌟🌟
Holy cow, what an amazing experience!!! Spectacular views, beautiful weather! Thank you for sharing! Be careful of those Mountain goats. Knew a guy that was killed by one during rut.
Very sad. Are you talking about the older gentleman in the Olympics a few years back? I remember reading about that in the news. I had my bear horn and bear spray at the ready and talked gently to them the whole time as I walked past (I also gave them a wide berth). Two adults and two kids, which made me a little nervous. But they'd been tolerating lots of hikers all day, so I doubt they considered me a threat. Whew. Always an adventure. :)
@@3MinuteHikes yes, I'm guessing that's who you read about. Glad you didn't experience any trouble from them. They are amazing creatures. And sounds like you enjoyed many others on the hike. More awesomeness!
@@amandafreed9223 If you watch past the closing credits, you'll see a juvenile grouse that walked right up to me on the trail and then a pika that let me get right behind him before he said, "Eee!"
Quite a few animals made an appearance on the trail: grouse, marmots, pikas, and mountain goats. Several hikers mentioned seeing a black bear and her cub, but I never saw them. - Matt
It's an out-and-back trail. Can't remember how long it took me, but I stop a lot to set up the camera tripod, etc. The first leg to Cascade Pass takes far less time than the next leg to the ridgeline and glacier camp.
Fabulous scenery here well done
Great shots of the mountain goats
See you again be safe always cheers
Thanks for joining us, TravelHungryForLife. Happy trails! :)

I went here a few years ago around this time, love colors trees!
Late summer/early fall is our favorite time of year to hike! :)
Great quality video and audio 👌🏿
Thanks, artemis1style! Always love having you along for the hike. :)
Another brilliantly crafted episode bud, stunningly beautiful trail! Lake looks simply breathtaking!
It was a lovely hike, ervinslens. Thanks for coming along! :)
Amazing weather. Beautiful mountain range, looks like challenging in bad weather.
Thanks for watching, Bezstopy! Yes, I imagine finding the glacier camp would be challenging if the mountain was socked in...

Other animals around?

How long did it take you? Is it a loop? Or in and out?

Thank you! I’ll be there on Sat!
