My pleasure! The bike ride seemed longer than 3.8 miles and took longer than expected, but it was gradually uphill the whole way -- plus I made a handful of stops to film. The way back down, on the other hand, took less than half as long, and I hardly pedaled at all (mostly rode my brakes). - Matt

Is it related to the male turkeys body parts or because they lived there? Seems it's gender specific though so makes me think some body part specific to them.

Perfectly understandable, North_Cascade_Railfan. It's a tough hike, especially in the heat. I imagine it will cool down in a few weeks, which should make for better hiking weather. :)

@@3MinuteHikes then I could probably do it, the trail was very slippery with the dry dirt on the steep areas.

Glad to have you along for the hike, courtneyknitter4358. If you're debating between the two hikes, I would recommend Mount Ellinor as the more scenic of the two. Both are great hikes, regardless, and plenty challenging.

Hey, Jeff. We hiked this in mid-October a few years back. Lots of fall color just before the first snow. :)

Yes! Low tide will give you the most opportunities to explore. We probably could have gone a touch further -- to the tip of the headland -- but the tide was already coming in by the time we got to the south end of the beach.
