- On March 01, 1959, Chinese asked Dalai Lama to attend a theatrical performance at Military Headquarters outside Lhasa. The date was extended to March 10 but Dalai Lama got suspicious and turned down the request. Later it was found out that the Chinese wanted to arrest him. Soon after, Dalai Lama left his palace and fled....
