Episodic Synopsis
Having been recognized as the 14th Dalai Lama at the age of two, Lhamo Thondup’s reign as the spiritual and political leader began at a strained point in Chinese-Tibetan relations. Tibet’s religious leaders were constantly trying to avoid a full blown military takeover by the Chinese, who had began invading Tibetan territory since the communist revolution in China. By 1956, things had escalated to a point where the Dalai Lama and his ministers were trying to find a balance between the Chinese interference and the growing resentment of the Tibetan resistance fighters. In 1959, when the Chinese crackdown on Tibet seemed inevitable, and the Tibetan uprising had reached his palace in Lhasa, on the request of his ministers and based on the advice of the state Oracle, Dalai Lama escaped from Tibet with his family and a few close aides. Disguised in the garb of a soldier, the Lama made his way through the crowds in front of his palace and travelled for 15 days till he reached India. The story of his escape is about how the young Lama travelled through harsh terrains, surviving the constant threat of the Chinese sentry.

A lot of Tibetans want to be part of China it seems since the Chinese are developing tibet don't know if it's true or not but seeing most UA-cam videos in tibet it looks like the Tibetan inside tibet want to be part of China today and the younger generation.

I cried throughout 1-2 episodes. Just imagine his holiness was only 24 years old when he had to leave Tibet and now he is 87 years old now. It is so painful and sad that no one came to help Tibet at that time.😪

Dalai Lama has set-up a government in exile and India helped in getting his voice to almost all the major stages. But, the whole west was playing drums with Chinese and India was not so strong to help him by itself. But things are changing here and we are gaining strength day by day. Once India grows to the extent that it can direct the freedom of Tibet and end Chinese tyranny.
With India, Phillipines, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc are taking a tough stand against Chinese IMPERIALISM and EXPANSIONIST REGIME.

Everytime I watch the last scene it brings tears to my eyes. I also feel Mao Zadong failed miserably in crushing spirit of Tibetans and unintentionally ended up bringing Tibetan people even more close to their principles and Lord Buddha. Indeed Dalai lama is extra ordinary human being that inspite of going through such level of cruelty, his faith in humanity didn't break and all he has is love and compassion for the world.

Their was a time during the 50s or 60s or 70s when most Tibetans wanted complete independence but after China's economic rise the perception of most Tibetans has completely changed to just have a level of autonomy like their was article 370 in J&K only for the Muslims in the valley just like that.

I would really love to visit Tibet as once i saw in a travelling vlog a stranger Tibetan man found that the travel vlogger is from India he was so nice and even gave him treat and at that point I gained lots of respect for Tibetan's . This short film is derived from “Kundun” which was directed by Martin Scorsese. The movie portrayed the scenes prior to His Holiness’s escape from Tibet. I am so happy to see this version made by Epic and in Hindi language. All of the actors did marvelous especially the Great mother (His Holiness’s mother) and the young Holiness. Khampa warriors help so much and they always stood against Chinese Army and the people of Tibetans does everything to protect Dalai Lama but due to Chinese, many Tibetans has to suffer a lot. when Dalai Lama said in the end that "it might look very sad, negative but somewhere, the side effect was also very positive." brought tears to my eyes.. makes me think that we always do talk about turning the table around during difficult situations, however, not everytime or everyone can still have a calm mind to think like this..

The corpses of those innocent monks, Tibetans, and Kampans its so disturbing to see people losing their homes and life. That Indian flag waving high and those officers welcoming the Dalai Lama shows that there exists a country that fights for the cause of every being in the world. A country that welcomes all the refugees. May Tibet be free and I can only imagine the pain that Dalai Lama goes through each day in his life for what happened with his loving people back there in Lhasa. Also delighted to see that people from both regions endorse Non-violence.

I had the privilege to visit Tibet for a month 20 years ago. I only have good words for the people, culture and the place. It remained the most memorable trip I had thus far and am quite sure that no other place on earth can surpass the experience.

I literally belive as an individual or in future if i have option to do something for tibetian for their well being and freedom ill contribute whatever in a way i can ifeel budhism and sanatan roots are same but buddhism prefer no violence INNSTEAD n sanatan u can fight for ur freedom or for your religion and buddhist may not agree but they should fight in every manner to prevail themselves
