Brian Cashman's hands are tied when he has a mandate to not go over the luxury cap. As a lifelong Yankees fan. Cashman must go. He brought one Championship with his moves in 2009. What has he done for us since? Bottom line nothing, zip, zero bad moves, bad contracts. It's time for some new blood.

A great performance of Michael cape-ing for Yankees management. Which is understandable because they are his employers. Don held Cashman, Boone and Steinbrenner's feet to the fire and I love it. At the end of the day, this team was put together and I believe the lack of roster movement and complacency is what ultimately frustrates fans like us. We have to trade a few pieces away to get a new look and fresh start mid-season.
no tf it wasnt boone obviously isnt gonna have a bullpen arm warming up with a 4 run lead its honestly pathethic that you and others are blaming boone every chapmans blown game has 100% been his fault, if chapman cant close out a 4 run lead wtf is he here for
Truth is..Gardy is not batting. He should be like a backup player at this point of his career. I respect him for being a Yankee for life. Yeah, he's not to be put in the same bag as Frazier, Torres, Voit and Chapman.
@@JMGarcia0303 He was brought back as a backup, not a starter. He would probably do way better if only playing a couple days a week. Brian Cashmans fault again for trading away Tauchman when he knew Hicks wasnt playing well and likely headed to IL.
Proof that Boone and Cashmam will be there for life. Although i will say I liked when he called out the cry baby players! Analytics are also ruining baseball!!
Yeah, relying on mythologies and "gut feel" was so much more effective lol. All the successful teams(rays, astros, dodgers, etcetera) are massive implementers of analytics, and the fact the yankees can't implement them properly is not the fault of analytics.
@@jamalamirihamed442 true, but they were early adopters and thus had a strategic advantage which has been reflected in their results. Also, the fact that analytics have been adopted by even the most obtuse front offices speaks against the poster's opinion and supports mine
@@joshuawheelock8874 I don't know. If the entire league turns to analytics, then, clearly, an analytics driven team is going to win the WS every year. I'm not sure the Rays, Dodgers, etc being pioneers in the field represents a ringing endorsement for analytics, particularly when Billy Bean's teams used to get beat in the playoffs every year back when Joe Torre was managing the Yankees.
@@jamalamirihamed442 i know yankees fans love to exist in an anecdotal world of mythology. One of the most common i hear is the yankees let all these great homegrown players get away so they can kill the yankees on another team. If one even briefly compared the talent that has come through the yankees farm system in thr last decade with the talent that has come through the four primary pioneers in analytics applied to talent evaluation, the astros, the dodgers, the rays, and the ahletics, the yankees fall laughably short, and that is with the ysnkees having more money to draft and sign players than any of those teams save the dodgers. Now since analytics has been widely adopted, that early advantage those teams gained will fade over time, just as any business which adopts superior and more efficient practices sees their advantage drop as those practices spread.
“Analytics, performance science.” How about driving the ball where it is pitched. Putting the ball in play. How about baseball minds and players making decisions and practicing how to put the ball in play.
I disagree. The managers job is to have his players properly prepared for each game and to put a lineup out there that gives them the best chance to win and I don't think he's doing those things the way he needs to.

i feel sorry for George Steinbrenner. Hal is not a baseball guy,he doesn't know how to operate a baseball team. BS with the salary cap. Boone is not the problem. Cashman is not the problem. The problem is Hal for building a crap team.
@@vc8my cash is definitely part of the problem. He’s failed at finding a lefty outfielder who can hit in the middle of the lineup.also Boone has made huge mistakes in big spots with the bullpen so he also deserves some blame but the players just can’t hit especially with runners on and that’s in the players a lefty bat in the line up can’t change that. Chapman getting lit up lately is all on him. Andujar making errors on routine plays in left is terrible and can’t be blamed on body but him. So yes cash deserves some blame Boone also but The players hitting into DP or striking out with the bases loaded is what’s really killing this team.for example the yanks have won 100 and 1003 games even with the record for injured players but as soon as they make it to the playoffs they shit the bed in big spots and loose so Cashmens moves along with Boone’s coaching got them there but the players didn’t come through in crunch time.
The Astros currently lead the mlb in all these categories hits 765 total, average .277, .802 OPS, and 452 total runs🔥. Yanks should hire Joe Espada to replace Boone ✌🏾!
@Saul Doy Oh wow I wasnt trying to make this a contest. The Yanks loss to the "woeful O's" 4 times this season and the Astros had a 3 game sweep vs the "woeful O's" on 6/21 to 6/23. I was just explaining my reasoning for hiring Joe Espada who use to be Brian Cashmans special assistant
@@SuperFireHog Let me guess the RedSox are cheating as well. Our Yankees havent beat them once this season. I just wanted to see what Teams were leading in hitting this season and the Astros led in almost every category statistically. The Astros also lead the mlb in RBI's with 434 total, the RedSox rank 2nd with 387 and the Yankees 26th with 305 total
The mistake some people are making is thinking that Hal cares about winning. He's a businessman and he runs the team like a business. Maximize revenue and minimize costs. In the end, winning is irrelevant so long as the money comes in, and Cashman helps him do that. He has zero motivation to make the team any better than just good enough to keep fans interested. I suspect we've seen the last championship for this team for a long, long time.
Too many hitting under .200. You don't belong in the Majors hitting under .200 You Don't. I'd make you choke up to make Contact. God Damn it, if you have 2 Strikes, you can't stand there LOOKING!!! RISP...This Yankee Team couldnt care less. If they shift you, I'd make you hit against it. You have no decent left handed batters, you have a 3rd baseman playing left field. You are screwed
It's not any one person, it's on the THREE STOOGES: 1. Boone for coddling poor performing terrible players and constantly making excuses 2. Cashman for putting together a defective broken roster. 3. Hal for being a chump, putting up with Cashman and Boone and paying a fortune for terrible performance. It's really not that complicated.
Exactly what I expected. People forget that the “smarter” son Hank was in charge after the old man passed, then he imploded forcing Hal to take over the reins. He’s absolutely Baseball ignorant. Profits over winning….
The 2021 Yankees have no heart. They got punched in the face early in the season and instead of fighting back, they've cowered and there's no voice to reverse the trend. Heartless! As far as who is to blame, of course Boone is to blame! Even after the first two hitters, everyone in the entire universe could see that Chapman didn't have command of the strike zone...take em out!
I don't blame Boone. He's been dealt a flawed team. Now, Cashman is another story. I think it starts with Cash. He is building teams for 2009. The game has changed. Mashing homeruns to a world series title is going to work.
That 09 team didn't mash the baseball they were a balanced team with good to great left handed hitters matsui, damon swisher , text, they were good at fundamentals and high iq not to mention they had the core four too, this team is what cashman built without those ,dynastic player who were assembled by the old gm bob watson and his staff with gene Michael, cashman has to go
The last year the Yankees finished below .500 was in 1992. This year could be the first. If it wasn't for the Orioles being such a crappy team the Yankees would be in last place now.
Hal mention that they all bear responsibility but the main issue is grown ass men unachieving. Its not like the players are performing to what they are and they cant win if they do. If they play to a reasonable potential they are a top team in the league no doubt about that.
This team is poorly built, especially to play in Yankee Stadium. It is primarily a right handed hitting lineup and the left handed hitters consist of Gardner, Odor, and Wade. They’re overpaying Stanton to be a DH, have a third baseman playing left field, and have a second baseman playing shortstop. Sanchez is a horrible catcher who finally started hitting but how long before he fizzles again? Frazier needs to go, too soft to play in New York. I would try to trade Torres and get a real shortstop, preferably a lefty. Also need at least one more front end starter. Problem is where are they and who’s willing to deal them to the Yanks? Frazier and Torres have diminished trade value. They just traded for Tim Locastro who’s batting below .200. At this point, why not bring up some of the minor league talent? Can’t be any worse than this nauseatingly bad team.
Can the real Yankees pls step up get rid of these imposters on the field I don’t believe this is going on something else is going on I can’t put my finger on it luv from Brooklyn 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
I blame the players.....everyone harped on pitching for the last 3 years... hal got us the best pitcher in baseball... we pounded teams the last 3 years.. pitching was what we needed... now a team who hit 300 homers can't hit 30.... not anyone's fault but there's...they have no energy.. they have no heart.. its like they just don't want to play....this is why baseball SHOULD be you get payed on how you preform....ill tell you what Really sucks... I live in canada... THE YANKEES are the only thing I get to look forward to on those cold February days... and having to watch baseball this bad is sucking the life out of me
If this is the permanent mindset of Hal Steinbrenner then Yankees Fans better pray that he is somehow removed as Owner by force like his father was on July 30, 1990 or the Yankees will not be making any trip to the World Series after 2009 for a lot of decades in the future.
The only thing Cashman is notable for as a GM is giving away half a billion dollars to obvious cheats on long term contracts right before MLB cracked down on their racket.
Blah blah blah and Cashman still has a job . This organization hasn't produced any young talent . For all the money they spend . Where is our Tatis , Soto , Vladdy ? Acuna ? Where ? Cashman is a clown 🤡
If your a Manager at a job and you have workers under you that your in charge of and they don’t perform well and do there job right. You are the first to get fired it’s that Simple.
Clearly the coaching staff is a problem, and he's not wrong that the players aren't performing, but the fault really lies in the construction of the roster. Even through the winning seasons I've been arguing with people trying to point out that this is not a team built for championships. All right-handed K-artists who can't play small ball to save their life. It's a team that can dominate weaker rotations during the season but will be overmatched against the best in the playoffs. I don't think Hal needs to go out and make some big splash to try and pretend we're really competitors, and I don't think firing the coaching staff will do anything but give people false hope for this season. But the fact he said they're not considering selling is either 1. bullshit, because he's not sure if they're out of it or not yet (they are), or 2. cognitive dissonance which is going to cause us to live this Groundhog Day over and over every season until we completely waste Jasson Dominguez's career like Mike Trout stuck in L.A. We need to sell and rebuild. This plan failed. Make a new plan.
You get the feeling that front office is not as smart as Boston,La, certainly not Rays. With all that money they have just a few elite players, Judge,Cole,Stanton,Chapman. Even among them Stanton is a very expensive DH and they don't pay Judge a lot. So where did use all that money? Not wisely.

Hal basically gave Yankee fans the middle finger saying that no changes will be made. They likely won't see another world series as long as Hal, Boone and Cashman remain in charge. Best bet for Yanks fans is to stop spending money on the team and make tv ratings go down by not watching. Also don't put money in Hal's pocket by buying tickets or merchandise. Hitting the owner's wallet is the best way to force major changes to be made.
Brian Cashman is actually equally to blame as Hal Steinbrenner is. He should have been fired 16 years ago before Mel Stottelmyer left. 1 puny World Series Championship won after 2000. 1 puny World Series appearance after 2003 which was the last year Gene Michael worked with the Yankees. Zero World Series appearances after 2009. The Core 4 players, Bernie Williams, Paul O'Neill, David Cone, Tim Raines and most of the others from those 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2000 World Series Yankees Championship Teams were really Gene Micheal's. The only two big that are Cashman's from the 1998 to 2000 World Series Championship Teams are Scott Brosius and Roger Clemens (David Wells went to Toronto. Roger Clemens came from Toronto) The Yankees couldn't keep David Wells after 1998 if they were trying to get Roger Clemens from Toronto.
But he clearly led the Yanks to two back to back seasons of 100+ wins and has made the playoffs every year under him……… you fire him (his contract is up at the end of the season) and the Yankees will just bring in someone else to be a puppet to their analytics.

This is not on the players. This is a poorly constructed team with many pieces that do not fit together. Who is responsible for assembling this mess? Who is responsible for this right handed dominate lineup? Who is responsible for dealing for pitchers who have not pitched in two years? Wake up !! The real problem is Hal and Brian, period.

@@joel8692 - I do not agree. Sure, Andujar is a defensive liability, and anyone who is not blind has know this for years now. So why is he on the team? Why is this yet one more case of prospect hugging that is killing the Yanks, when he should have been traded two years ago when he had decent value. How about Clint Frazier? Who's fault is it that he gets playing time? Who is at fault for thinking that Torres is actually a major league SS when obviously he plays the position at a high school level? I could go on and on, but why should I? This team is doomed under the current ownership and his incompetent GM, things will only get worse until Hal finally sells this club.
He is 100% Correct !!! The players were bought there by Cashman, and they performed, now, they are not performing!. So who's fault is it ? Its the PLAYERS FAULT. THEY ARE NOT PERFORMING . CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT NUMBNUTS !!! AND THATS WHY YOU HAVE TRADES !
The Players Are Such Divas I Agree But This Whole Team Is A Disgrace Okay Well Start Benching Them Plain And Simple Torres Bench His Ass Set An Example!!
How do you have no left-handed hitters in your lineup, Cashman? You had one switch hitter who never really tore up in the hitting department. Then you go out and get one that can’t hit his weight. Hits so poorly that Texas is paying for you to take him. Maybe 2017-2019 was not the real players. This is the real talent showing in 20 and 21.
I find this comment section hysterical. Yes How dare the owner who’s paying these guys obscene amounts of money hold them accountable. Last time I checked the job of the GM was to give the manager what he needs to win and outside of needing an outfielder, ON PAPER Cashman did that. However the problem is that when they guys who are supposed to be at a certain level and they don’t reach that level people always want to point the finger in the wrong direction! It ABSOLUTELY IS ON THOSE OVERPAID, UNDERACHIEVING clowns who call themselves “professionals”. The GM and the manager aren’t out there walking batters or going to the plate at critical times and striking out. The GM and manager are NOT the ones who can’t pitch, hit, or field. Now yes some of this falls on the manager because he should be making moves even if it just to send a message, send Chapman down to triple A for a little bit or Judge....SOMEBODY! I mean it’s definitely a sad state of affairs in Yankee land that’s for sure
If the players are the problem then FUCKING demote them to the minor leagues. Torres was hitting 0.056 in his last 15 games at one point. Send his ass down. Chapman has a 10+ era in his last 15 games. Send him down. Work it out. Fraizer has hit below 200 ALL SEASON. Send his ass down. Tell them to fix their mechanics or whatever is wrong with them then you can come up and play in the big leagues. Thats on the front office and the manager. The manager keeps putting them out there day after day thinking things will change. Thats the definition of insanity.
Sure the players are the problem but it's who put these players on this team. Why is Tyler Wade on this team? Why is Brett Gardner who's 38 still on this team? Why are there no lefty hitters of note on this team? Look at who put this group together. He didn't say anything about that.
There in is the problem he is not like his father this team has zero heart they take a beating and the whimper instead of getting pissed and get on those soft millionaires players this is Boones last year of his contract he is a dead man walking nice guy terrible manager its 4 years too late im a geradi guy always have been Boone is the opposite
I love my Yankees, but enough is enough. Am I delusional. Wtf, how can Hal just blame the players and not the whole team as a whole. Make some trades, bring up some rookies and go after everybody in MLB we can do it. We gave 80 games in the second half, and if they play their cards right they could win.
The Yankees show not be losing to sub five hundred teams. I still feel like Aaron Boone should go. He's soft on his players, and makes some highly questionable decisions
Hal doesn't have a clue, because what evaluation. Example 1) cant Hal tell that Stanton wishes that he'd play with the Dodgers. Yankees should find a way to trade him to the Dodgers. 2) why haven't the Yankees bring up some rookies like Amburgy, Park, Florial. 3) Make aggressive Trades. Get Sherzer first, then position the rest of your players etc...
Hal: "...peers holding other peers accountable is the best kind of meeting..." Memo to Hal: Peers can not fire their peers. Only MANAGEMENT can make changes!!!! And baby, does this team need to make some changes!!!! Yikes!
fans want everyone fired or traded. bc they live and die day to day. management goes season to season. if the yankees go .500 then we will see. however these players won 100 and 103 games. they just can't do it this year. remember the red sox have won 4 titles but there were bad seasons mixed in there. yankee fans can't tolerate 1 bad season. so it's wait for the off season.

There also making mistakes in the base pads. Andujar should of been traded when he got hurt in his rookie year and lost his job at 3rd base to a very good fielder gio urshula. A bunch of teams wanted the kid and were willing to look past his terrible Defence at 3rd because he could hit for power witch he showed as a rookie so now with hicks out they put him in left and he’s terrible there also lol. They should of been traded him when his value was high. Bottom line people are overreacting about Boone he’s done nothing but win with the yanks fork the start even with all the injuries they’ve had through the years. He’s definitely made mistakes with the bullpen in big spots but Chapman has been smacked around in crunch time several times so he has to take some blame. Went out and got the best pitcher in baseball witch the Yankees needed badly a “true ace” who they haven’t had since cc in his prime with the yanks he also traded for DJ who was the best hitter in baseball and not just another HR hitter like everybody in the Yankees lineup. Hal Steinbrenner is the one to blame. As is Brian Cashman who acquired these players. Boone is a Terrible Manager. Coaches suck. Hal Steinbrenner is inept at owning the Yankees
I say lot times the huge problem are the players ok many times they have to fixer this team or next year are coming new players yankees or fixer,or have,to go termination.
So, it's the players. WHO put those players on the field? Cashman and Steinbrenner. One World Series win in the last twenty years while Boston has won four times and made the Yankees their bitches. The Yankees have no speed (except Judge), no base running skills, lousy defense, weak pitching (Chapman is finished) and a terrible strength and conditioning program. Too much muscle and not enough flexibility leading to multiple and constant injuries. Cashman put a one-dimensional team on the field. Hit home runs, or lose. Every position, every player was valued for the HR.
When a team is lifeless in a game, the Manager runs onto the field and argues with the ump and gets ejected. He does this to spark a fire under the team. When a team goes 1/2 a year in a funk, the owner fires the manager and brings in a different personality. If the manager is a player’s manager, they bring in a disciplinarian and visa versa. It is time for Boone to go and to bring in a disciplinarian. I like Boone personally, but he needs to go.
I don't think it's all on the players. Boone makes bad decisions and no decisions when decisions are needed. They have all the talent they need. They just don't need a manager that makes it harder to win. Give me a break. As bad as Chapman has been pitching, why in the hell would he bring him in in the ninth and then leave him in when you could see he wasn't pitching well. I bet every Yankee fan watching was wondering the same damn thing. They were having one of the best games of the year up until the ninth and the manager refused to make a pitching change asap, though he shouldn't have been the closer to begin with. So give me a break. You're wrong Kay, just wrong. We knew Chapman was pitching bad and giving up at least a hit and a walk every inning so you can't say oh it isn't Boone's fault. Of all the pitchers why did it have to be Chapman who has not been pitching well at all.. Boone leaves pitchers in too long that are pitching badly and takes out pitchers who are pitching well...wth. The poor decisions he makes are numerous. It's Boone.
Stanton plays like a princess 👸

last night was BOONES fault he should have taken Chapman out after 2 walks
MLB Rule, any Pitcher MUST face 3 batters, in order to make a pitching change. A injury is the only exception. He had to stay in for one more batter
@@Brian-cu6ph No he had recorded an out so he faced 3 and could've been pulled.
He passed the 3 batter minimum
no tf it wasnt boone obviously isnt gonna have a bullpen arm warming up with a 4 run lead its honestly pathethic that you and others are blaming boone every chapmans blown game has 100% been his fault, if chapman cant close out a 4 run lead wtf is he here for
Chapman should have been replaced by either Losaiga or Green for the closer role. Chapman simply cant control himself without spider tack
You aren't going to Win Big Games with Gardner, Frazier, or Odor!!!
I'd add Voit and clearly Chapman to that.
Leave gardy out of the Frazier and Odor show
Truth is..Gardy is not batting. He should be like a backup player at this point of his career. I respect him for being a Yankee for life. Yeah, he's not to be put in the same bag as Frazier, Torres, Voit and Chapman.
Gardner should have been gone years ago
@@JMGarcia0303 He was brought back as a backup, not a starter. He would probably do way better if only playing a couple days a week. Brian Cashmans fault again for trading away Tauchman when he knew Hicks wasnt playing well and likely headed to IL.
Clearly he doesn't care whether the Yanks make the playoffs or not. Enjoy your 4th place finish, Yankee fans.
@@joshuawheelock8874 That the successful teams use analytics is a pretty hollow argument given the fact that the entire league does for the most part.
The players aren’t solely at fault. The coaches aren’t solely at fault. The GM isn’t solely at fault. It’s the whole package.
It’s mostly the players but ur right
the one who enables the team is the one whose fault is it
“Analytics, performance science.” How about driving the ball where it is pitched. Putting the ball in play. How about baseball minds and players making decisions and practicing how to put the ball in play.
Analytics tells you to have an all right-handed team in Yankee Stadium? yeah right Hal.
Cashman needs to go also. He assembled all these teams spending over $4.3 billion over twenty years with very little to show for it.
I disagree. The managers job is to have his players properly prepared for each game and to put a lineup out there that gives them the best chance to win and I don't think he's doing those things the way he needs to.
It’s all to analytical they don’t go by the gut there is no fire in any of these players

I'm tired of Boone getting zero blame. If you can't get the best out of your guys, WHY ARE YOU THERE? The truth is Hal and Cashman had NO PLAN B. They expected to push and plug their guys, not worried that they regressed as a team. Now they're a robotic passionless team like their owner.
I agree Boone needs to checked.
This is the time for a change!!!
i feel sorry for George Steinbrenner. Hal is not a baseball guy,he doesn't know how to operate a baseball team. BS with the salary cap. Boone is not the problem. Cashman is not the problem. The problem is Hal for building a crap team.
💯💯Hal Is One Stubborn Man
Cashman literally built the team, what do you mean??
@Saul Doy there still first in there division though
@@joel8692 Thank you for pointing that out
Then maybe we should cheat like they did and do !
The Astros also lead the mlb in RBI's with 434 total, the RedSox rank 2nd with 387 and the Yankees 26th with 305 total
shit goes down from the top Steinbrenner hasn t got a clue what is happening. Cashman is in bed with Steinbrenner so is Boone
They need to learn how to bunt ;advance runners and steal more bases. They suck at all 3 !
Check why the players aren't performing. I blame the manager, etc...They need to Motivate these players to want to win.
Maybe …. they’re just not good enough. Just a thought.
Boy those Yes men really asked the hard questions
Thanks for these vids
It's not any one person, it's on the THREE STOOGES:
1. Boone for coddling poor performing terrible players and constantly making excuses
Not sure the 2021 Yankees can bounce back from that, the only thing they’ve proven in consistency is that they’re inconsistent and emotionally weak
Boone must go, players don't respect him anymore
How would you possibly know that Paul?...
I don't blame Boone. He's been dealt a flawed team. Now, Cashman is another story. I think it starts with Cash. He is building teams for 2009. The game has changed. Mashing homeruns to a world series title is going to work.
That 09 team didn't mash the baseball they were a balanced team with good to great left handed hitters matsui, damon swisher , text, they were good at fundamentals and high iq not to mention they had the core four too, this team is what cashman built without those ,dynastic player who were assembled by the old gm bob watson and his staff with gene Michael, cashman has to go
Did Hal have his Rose Colored glasses on?
Hal spoke truth
Bring in willie Randolph

The only thing Cashman is notable for as a GM is giving away half a billion dollars to obvious cheats on long term contracts right before MLB cracked down on their racket.

If your a Manager at a job and you have workers under you that your in charge of and they don’t perform well and do there job right. You are the first to get fired it’s that Simple.
Hal Steinbrenner is german, so im not surprised hes scapegoating

“Its the proletariats fault not the bourgeoisies” - Hal Steinbrenner (basically)

Even when they won 100+ games they when’d to the playoffs and couldn’t put home run teams to win games like they did in the regular season. They shouldn’t blow the whole thing up . I just pointed out that in 2012 Boston traded and fired everybody and won the very next season Sometimes teams need a revamp this team is so crossed up that there making errors on routine plays. There also making mistakes in the base pads. Andujar should of been traded when he got hurt in his rookie year and lost his job at 3rd base to a very good fielder gio urshula.
They’ll just hire someone else to follow their analytics. Boone, as much as I like him, is just a puppet.
It's Boone.
