- Today, I am sharing 5 of the WORST things to buy at dollar Tree. I would love to know if you are agree or disagree with me. You know I love Dollar Tree, but not everything is worth the money. I think it is important to share what not to buy at Dollar Tree.

I'm so old I remember when you could buy a coke, bag of chips and a candy bar and get change back from 50 cents. ahhhhhh those were the days.

Great to see you Jennifer, notebooks are always .25 cents at Staples in the fall and in the winter when the new semester begins and their composition books are .50 cents and the loose leaf paper is $1.00 and for candy, like movie box candy, Walgreens is the place to go, it’s usually 4 boxes for $3.00

Glad to see you back! I agree with you on these five DT products, especially the batteries. They really do not last. I get mine at Batteries Plus, where my son works (and gets a discount!), and they are superior.
A discount on batteries would be a dream! I also wait for a sale or buy the Costco brand. I have never been to a Batteries Plus. I need to check them out. Thank you! 💕

I agree DT isn't always the best choice. Nebraska is finally turning into a DT Plus. Looking forward to crafts from those choices.

It did feel a little weird to mention what not to buy while in DT, but I did also record some of my favorite buys too. That will be coming soon.

My husband buys batteries at Dollar Tree all the time. He doesn’t think they last as long either, but he says it’s cheaper to buy those more often than buying a more premium brand and just replace as needed.
I either get Costco brand batteries or wait for a sale. Full price is just too much! 💕
We have Family Dollar stores along with Dollar General stores here in Ocala, Fl. Much better deals than DT. However, I do like Dollar Tree's crafts. They have increased the quality and selection BUT I can find better deals on craft items at Hobby Lobby. Tfs! Happy to see you back! 😃

I agree with all of your suggestions. We gave batteries and The Battery Daddy as Christmas gifts last year. They were a huge hit.

Totally agree on all the items mentioned. I would rather buy my floral at Walmart or Hob. Lob. They look better and have more bulk. The batteries are a waste of money. Altho I (do) buy the tiny watch batteries there.

This list is spot on! I got that same battery holder at Costco when they had them. It was a game changer for MY SANITY!!! lol No more wondering if something was still good when I find a stash of batteries (always used of course)lol

I have to agree with you on those items. But, if I'm in a pinch & need those items & am already in Dollar Tree, I'll just buy them. Not the batteries though. They aren't good quality at all. I too spend more for name brand batteries. I have the battery daddy too! It is wonderful for battery storage & love the tester too. Great video, TFS!! 😊
I am with you on if you are in a pinch. Time is sometimes more valuable then a few cents.

Thanks for sharing all these items. Yes now that the dt is $1.25 I don't buy as many items anymore. .
I think the $1.25 makes us all think before we buy, but with the rise of cost everywhere else makes that 25 cents not seem as bad as it did. 💕

One thing to take into consideration is gas prices. Dollar tree is a mile from my house but Walmart is 12 miles away. By the time I've saved that money at Walmart I've used a lot more gas to get there.
I understand that! But, if you are able to plan and you are going to be near a store that is cheaper... then you can save some money. 💕
@@LittleBitofCalmCrazy yes! My favorite Dollar Trees aren't close to my house. I love when I have to be in this areas...it's not often. Same with Walmart, I have to bundle the errands!
My wal mart cut back on the floral section. Plus floral have gone up. I never find 87 cents. I only found as cheap as 1.50. I am in Ohio

Where I live our prices are 1.50 at dollar tree and alot of things aren't worth it anymore for me there so I go to Walmart or dollarama
Ferrero Rocheris is cheaper at DT than anywhere else I've seen.
