Considering the HUGE financial problems KTM is facing, this one MUST have a reasonable price in order to sell!
990 is a middleweight? its almost a thousand already.
Couse the engine is 2 cylinders.
Now supersport class is 600cc 4 cylinders, 800cc 3 cylinders or 900cc 2 cylinders. That's all I know.
I think you should learn that engines aren't just about displacement
Yup 990 is a middleweight because of the emissions standard they put much more cc just to keep the power of the bike so that we don't get disappointed
How much output does it make decides the category.
@@utubelgr 110hp - 130hp
This would destroy all the supersport competition championship if ever the allow this beast to race in wssp. But one of the rules in wssp is not more than 955cc for two cyclinder.
But 948cc lc8 engine
A litre bike with basically the same power as a 600cc! What is the purpose of this bike, do they have to make a road going version to race in a certain championship or?
might be the same power as a 600 but with more torque spread over a wider range. So more useable. Its also a 2 cilinder bike where 600 are 4 cilinders.
i thought they were making a v4 and not 2 cylinders…
Old KTM RC series Back in India 🇮🇳 please 😭😭😭
Continúe crying
Same price as a litter bike..no thank you!
Funny how so many in the comments don't understand the purpose of the engine, nor understand why the engine is the way it is. Calling it a 1000 cc.. Bmw makes 3 liter engines, but makes more power than chevrolet 6.2 liter engine. If you are an enthusiast of motorcycles or cars, atleast understand engine dynamics. It's embarrassing.
But I do understand that people don't like it being a p twin, should have been a v twin. But then it's gonna be pricier.
@@rns6889 calling a 990 a middleweight is an embarassment.
@@iodineclip what do you mean by this statement
130 not enough and probably over priced. Then there is the lingering reliability issue.
Quality over quantity in performance. You have the zx6r which has less electronics, inferior brakes, inferior suspension. If power and chassis is all you look for, then you have the Japanese. The Europeans offer a much more complete package. Why do you think some rcae bikes that make 130 horsepower cost 20K ish usd?? Because of QUALITY of components. The only one with such powerful brakes in this segment.
Huge fail making it a parallel twin. Needs a v4. Ktm always making stupid decisions
