Very impressive. A long-time Smiths fan, over lockdown I bought an electric guitar & read Johnny’s book. Anyway, I just want to say thanks because this blows me away and inspires me.
That’s very kind of you. Hope the guitar playing is going ok. Learning JM stuff isn’t easy at first. I gave up for 20 years but came back for a 2nd go with more determination. And UA-cam lessons helped a lot too!
A Source Audio Collider, combined reverb/delay. One of the best features is you can configure it to use two delays or, in this case, two reverbs in a chain. I've got Shimmer and a massive 'E-dome' here, but you can also use the Swell function with Shimmer to get some nice effects.
@@hicksy0815 Thanks mate. I'll see if Father Christmas is generous this year...😂. On another note, do you put any transcriptions up, tabs /chords? I'm at beginner / intermediate level and JM's stuff is challenging to say the least. Cheers.
Yeah, unfortunately for top end reverb/atmospherics Father Xmas will need to be pretty generous. But a decent reverb/delay will always be a well used feature in any pedal board, particularly if you like JM. As for lessons, you should find loads if you look at the other stuff in my Channel, for both Smiths and JM's solo/post-Smiths stuff. If you can't find what you're looking for give me a shout. I might be able to guide you to stuff other people have done. There's loads out there.
This is one of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces of music of all time as far as I'm concerned

Johnny Marr's favourite Smiths tune - done beautifully. Chapeau!
S*** the bed! That was awesome!
Terribly sorry about the bed, but thanks!
Beautiful playing
Love it.
Awesome!
Thank you Owen! I was struggling with this one.
It was the Am to A part at the end of the riff that took me a while to get.
Nice!
Nice 👌
Honestly, I like some of your stuff even better than the actual songs...
Beautiful rendition.
What type of guitar is that 12-string.
It's gorgeous.
Thanks. It's a Reverend Airwave. I'm really happy with it.
@@hicksy0815 Thank you! Keep the tunes coming! I'm learning "Well I Wonder" now. One of my favs!
agreed, that outro piece with the rain in the background is up there with Johnny's most beautiful creations
Which reverb pedal mate? Great playing 👍
