Hello, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I worked on a project where maps from the WW2 period were needed. I found your video about these “aourednik” sources and it saved my ass. I had a problem with Europe, where during the years 1938-1945 the borders of Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia etc… were constantly changing, but they were not in this sources. I had to edit it manually through shape layer. Are there other sources to get historically detailed maps into geolayers? Thanks!
Suddenly when I tried to draw features of a country from a mapcomp, the shape layer file doesn't match the map. I need to resize and reposition it again. How do we fix this Sir? Really appreciate if you can tell.
amazing, I have a question, If I want to mention “Cold War” our “ NATO Members “ our IDK “WW I & WW II” is there any package that add all those countries that involve it ? right now I made them once and use them when need to, but sometimes changing styleise of map is challenging, can I download the SVG file of 1914 map and turning off the layers of countries that aren’t in WW1 and save it and importing to geolayer solve the problem?
That's a pretty complex issue. I would create a feature collection, and actually export out a CSV that you can add your own custom data attributes / fields to. Then you can quickly filter things out in GEOlayers.

But i recently came across a problem with my Geolayers, when i create a new mapcomp and click next and then pick the map i want for example the 'Bing Aerial' map and click create it does create the map but i only see a black screen with an error that says something like that i don't have no datarequest anymore and that my map won't show. I really don't know is this is a geolayers problem or if this is a problem with the maps that my free trial is over or something like that. Boone i hope that you can help me with this because i wanna create new maps again!

Yeah these datasets exist, it's just a matter of finding them. And then you might even need to customize and tweak to create your own.

Is geojason free to use in commercial projects,?
Can we use all geolayers 3 features on the old historical maps?
If you georeference them, yes indeed. You can do that manually or find geo referenced maps on oldmapsonline.com
