This is the most comprehensive video I have ever seen on climate change. Your issues on definition, why we should care, and what we can do to prevent it covered almost every thing we need to know. thank you very much Sir.

Hey, thank you so much! When I was mapping out the video that's what I was going for-videos on climate change that I saw were either briefly about issues, and briefly about solutions, but not very thorough on both parts. After researching and scripting out the piece, I realized it was going to be an 8-9 minute video, but I was ok with that because I knew it was covering all the information that I wanted to share. So, thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it and got something out of it!

Mankind needs to move past animal agriculture for many reasons. For one thing, it would reduce zoonotic diseases like the current pandemic, and the last one in 1918 which sprang from an animal farm in Kansas. Here is another. "Eating a vegan diet could be the “single biggest way” to reduce your environmental impact on earth, a new study suggests. Researchers at the University of Oxford found that cutting meat and dairy products from your diet could reduce an individual's carbon footprint from food by up to 73 per cent.Sep 24, 2020 Link on my channel under "About."

why does this have absolutely NO veiws? this is a serious problem! in the last few weeks i started realizing just HOW serious this is! i mean hell in a year on average a person pumps out more CO2 than an elephants weighs! i suggest 3 things. underground energy, fusion reactors or a dyson swarm. the underground energy the easiest, the fusion reactors the most energy dense and the dyson sphere the most energy. we could also use windmills, the ocean current, more solar panels and so on! i dont know how much i can help because of my age but i will try to! humans are facing many problems in our modern times. this is one. and our ignorance isnt helping. people dont realize the dangers of this, i didnt! now i do. right now the best we are doing are green energy and capturing CO2 by machines, wich is good but we need more! the best we can do is green energy for now, but in the future we can start on harder projects.

      · THE SEA RISE: The heat loss from the smokestacks can be harnessed to heat microcrystalline wax at a hot liquid state feed into a large container. The carbon and soot along with the heat, are being captured and forced into a large holding tank, Wax loves carbon, it eats carbon. The carbon acts as a dye. Now that the carbon is in a liquid state, it can not possibly become airborne. The carbon along with the many airborne particulates settles at the bottom of the tank as a sludge and then emptied through a valve. More wax is added to displace what was used or emptied and works something like a toilet. When black carbon and soot become airborn then settle on snow and ice that absorb the heat of the Sun causing the snow and ice to melt and aids in the sea to rise. Snow and ice reflect the Sun, but not in this case.

If we want to effectively tackle these problems, what we need is to focus only on measures that have a real impact
    1) distance tax: a tax that increases the longer the goods are shipped or transported- this incentivizes a local economy and stops the mess of goods running around the world for no reason.
    2) female education- the more educated the less children they will have, as overpopulation is a huge problem
    3) tackle income inequality- tax the super wealthy and the multinationals, make them pay the right share, no more tax avoidance or producing in countries with lower regulations. Big companies need the most resources and make up the biggest polluters, so local and smaller is better.
    4) universal basic income so people dont have "to make a living" at any cost and follow their passions- no damaging, stupid or unnecessary work
    5) make hemp biodiesel (and other biodiesels) make up 30% of all fuel compulsory in the economy and make investments. Tackle food waste and make it maximal 5% of all produced. Go towards 0% fossil fuels with improved technology. Swap most plastics for hemp-derived materials. Scale down the flight industry to max 20% what it is today
    6) sustainability index- make an index of the worst environmental offender-practices. Ban those that are not needed and bring within limits those that can be made sustainable. Use taxes to incentivize/disincentivize
    7) go towards a bio-adapted infrastructure such as passages for the wild under highways and so forth. Go back to natural farming, drop all intensive farming, is healthier anyway. Decrease production of animal products. Abandon chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides, all not sustainable.
    8) we need a working UN back in some form, to protect areas such as the amazonas and other strategically important parts of the world for the ecology. Besides that we need first nation countries to invest in countries that are lagging behind, as the investment would yield much greater results. This is a global challenge. Besides that, governments need to take back their role as the enforcers of the general interest over counterproductive private interests.
    9) drop all the measures that won't make any difference and accept that we can't control it 100% at this point. Maybe there are some benefits in a warmer climate too.

By the following It is abundantly Clear that Global warming is caused by humans :
If you have a bath tub in which water is flowing and draining at 2 gpm the water level in the bath tub will always remain the same .
But if you INCREASE the rate at which water is flowing INTO the tub by 3% and decease the rate that water is flowing OUT of the tub by 37% the water level is going to rise.

The flow of green house gases and the absorption of green house gases used to be in balance until man added and additional 3% by burning fossil fuels and subtracted 37% of the earth’s capacity to absorb green house gasses by clearing 37% of earths forests .
To make matters worse : the 37% of earth\s forests that we cleared away began to rot and give off green house gases and then we used that land to raise cows . Each cows belches 70 liters of methane per day. Methane is 23 times more heat trapping than CO2.
77% of all farm land is cattle pasture .
Therefore become vegan to stop deforestation and global warming

To solve emissions and climate change American engineers and construction expert’s years ago planned a city where nobody owned cars or drove cars. It was never built and possibly will never be built. The idea was to demolish New York city and surrounding suburbs, and plant the entire area with trees to create one giant Central Park. Then they would construct four special buildings to house the entire population of New York, two million in each building. Each building would have lifts that travelled up and down and sideways. Each building would have hospitals, shopping centers, recreation centers, swimming pools, stadium’s whatever was needed. People would still live in houses in the building with lawns etc. The buildings would be huge of course, but instead of living outward in the suburbs, people would live upwards in the suburbs. It will never happen, but there is a building in Singapore that is built along the same lines.

One of the most efficient videos I've seen expressing climate change. Have you taken into consideration, that because there's more clouds in the sky then the Sun is blocked stopping the precipitation process. Direct sunlight is warmer than a cloudy pollution filled sky day. If the moisture isn't getting circulated back up to the ice caps then we have a warmer climate. I don't believe the greenhouse effect to be that much of a problem compared to the inability to precipitate the water.
Obviously feeding 60 billion land animals water that goes into the ground and takes a while to go back into the stream and the oceans.

    GLOBAL WARMING WILL END----GOD'S WAY
The Bible Tells us that "The Former of the earth and the Maker of it.....did not create it simply for nothing." (Isaiah 45:18) The Bible also says: "The earth endures forever." ----Ecclesiastes 1:4, The New English Bible.
Yes, God will not allow the earth to be rendered uninhabitable. Rather, he will intervene in human affairs and bring an end failed human rule and those who have no regard for the earth. At the same time, he will preserve alive all who lead morally upright lives and sincerely want to please him. Says Proverbs 2:21, 22: "The upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth, and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it."

Based on the model, it appears the green house effect would reach maximum when the concentration of the GHG's rises to a level at which all thermal radiation are blocked or absorbed. once pass this level, any additional GHG's would have no effect on trapping heat. Has anyone figured out what this critical concentration should be? My guess is the typical water vapor alone in the atmosphere would be sufficient to block 100% long wave thermal radiation from the earth's surface.

Really well done video. In addition to replacing our energy with wind&solar, we can harness a great deal of energy by harvesting biomass from many of our forests, via the conversion of it to biochar, thereby locking the carbon in a stable solid. We can produce fertilizer with that energy, and in tandem with biochar enhance the soil of the forests we utilize, soils we grow in, etc. Improving yield whilst actively sequestering carbon from the athmosphere.
If we use that energy to power indoor agriculture (vertical farming), we'll be able to halt deforestation, and potentially reforest farmland for energy and biochar.

As much as I enjoyed this video, I have got one critisism. To make any real useful diffence in battling climate change, we really need systematic change, which can only be achieved if the decisionmakers of the world are influenced to take those measures. Meaning that you could make a bigger difference by influencing your local, and national politicians. Talking to them about this matter, voting for the ones that take this seriously. Whether i take my bike to work will not matter if my government keep subsidizing fossil fuels for companies and such.
Maybe I'm wrong in feeling like this, but I feel like our personal efforts will amount to basically nothing if we do not take bigger actions.

    • @alexanderyng7207
      @alexanderyng7207 2 роки тому

@S.A. L. Absolutely, personal efforts are important as well, you are correct. I did not intend to sound as if ONLY systemic/political change mattered.
But in my opinion, we need the larger scale changes. Of course, our choices affect what corporations get income, and in the long run what politicians get lobbied and so on. But if you look at society today, there is a large amount of people unwilling to change their lives, their habits and so on. If we however get politicians to end subsidies on oil, coal and such, and actually make corporations pay (increasing year by year) taxes for whatever emissions they might produce, there will be a lot more incitaments for them to actually start making long term adjustments to the new reality. Sure there will be a lot of resistance, and a lot of people will be unhappy with changes like this. But regardless of what we choose to do with regards to climate change, people will be unhappy.
It Could be that I am wrong, but as I said, i think we need "bigger" change than what we as individuals might accomplish on our own. We need systemic and sometimes unpleasant changes to our lives.

    I have a question, sir.
We know that there are many governments taking action towards climate change in order to strengthen the response. Then why is climate change still happening and increasing if the roles of the different agencies, policies, and laws are implemented to help mitigate the effects of climate change? What's the government's purpose or the agencies action plans towards this issue if climate change is not going to stop? Are they really helping the world? Are the policies and laws effective enough?

CO2 produced by the brewing process and baking process that PRODUCES
thousands of TONS of CO2 a year? They whine about cars but no one ever
thinks about the Brewery's and bakery's. if we taxed them on CO2
production a pint of beer would cost around £300 !!!!! Think about it.
This also goes for the carbonated drinks industry, its in the name
CARBONated Drinks!! Welding that uses CO2 cant do that anymore no more
metal electric cars shopping trolleys prams peddle-bikes anything made
of metal. It's just an excuse for rich people to make more money, we

Govts need to do more. Shut pollution causing industries and vehicles without any favourism and promote renewable energy sources like solar, wind, tidal.
Scientists need to explore new technology to capture the energy from lightning bolts.
As individuals what we can do?
    1) Try to reduce electricity bills by as much as 10 to 50 %.
    2) Try to reduce the usage of vehicles.
    3) Avoid unnecessary overspending, don't be extravagant. Try to live simple life.
    4) Avoid plastic that is another devil on our earth.
Its all about our future generations Think about them, they should have livable conditions on this earth.
We need to answer to God about all the pollution and corruption that we are causing on this earth.

The idea of Co2 as a
Powerful greenhouse gas originated in misunderstandings of solar radiation and thermodynamics seemed apparent that Venus's incredible surface temps were due to high concentrations of Atmospehic Co2. It Turns out co2 is actually a fairly weak green house gas with relatively to only a very small
    Portion of the ir wavelength.
At around 200 ppm co2 can increase surface retention of the particular small portion of ir
Wavelength by as much as 25% . However at higher concentrations only fractional increases without any noticeable by senses increase in surface radiation. With complete saturation of this wavelength at 800 ppm . So even at1600 ppm co2 concentrations. the greenhouse effect of Co2 doesn't increase at all, and no recognizable difference than 200 ppm.
The high temperatures on venus are due to the immense atmospheric pressure. That is greater than the deep ocean trenches. Although modern attempts to keep this myth alive Argue that nearly all thermal radiation reaches the surface but surface light reflectance. And ultra dense co2 concentrations Would produce an oblique effect a few hundred feet above the surface that completely traps all radiation.
Regardless of Whether or not this is true. Without water the surface is not capable of heating or radiating enough of this trapped radiation to heat the entire venus troposphere to excess of 1200 k. Co2 molecules still only absorb the small portion of infrared radiation regardless of the abundance of other radiation wavelengths that pass through it. So this would have little to no
Effective on surface temperatures and does not even constitute a green house effect even at concentrations thousands times that of earth's highest historical co2 levels.
You believe an incredibly weak lie and parrot it. That likely hood was perpetrated by weathlty elites as a sick joke since humans exhale more Co2 annually than produced by fossil fuels. And to distract from actual pollution and toxins. Destroying and ruining our lands, fresh water and oceans, as well as our health.
The majority of these actual threats can be immediately reduced or halted with little to no economic essential industrial interruptions. The rest could be replaced by alternative materials and methods, safely utilized and waste sent to unpopulated areas. Particular problematic industries such as pharmacutccal and chemical industries can be forced to be held accountable and regulated or even taken over and operated as government agencies. Though not very capitalist or free trade, but from a nationalist perspective this seems to be an obvious choice for governmental institutions to accurately track and produce
    Efficiently.
Instead idiots like you Pressured diesel truck manufactures with impossible mpg and emission requirements and comprised with DEf. So now instead of a some potentially harmful substances released in the air and largely only an actual concern for urban and metropolitan areas that already had many other airpolutan issues far more harmful 5han the monoxide/sulfur/arsenic/ and trace metals. These same toxins are just as prevalent today in large cities as before. However we now have these toxins as well much more toxic compounds being dumped on the roads that cross through our agricultural fields, wash off into our ground water, rivers, lakes and oceans.
Idiots like you pressured antiquated coal plants to implement carbon scrubbers and co2 traps ( which I am all for, great deal of harmful substances are released needlessly by less efficient smaller and outdated plants. Thankfully the methods to reduce co2 also reduce more actual pollutants.) All the concern and political pressure to remove and trap co2 and not the slightest bit of discussion or concern with what was done with the stored gas. That was sold to soda and beer companies At a premium, being much purer and higher quality than That captured at oil and natural gas wells. All that effort and pretentiousness.
Intended to be one of many steps to offset energy costs of coal plants to increase interest and incentives to invest in wind and other renewable sources. Instead of hurting the coal plants or communities supplied. The coal plants actually profit and the The co2 is still released into the atmosphere. Never once have I heard a single complaint or demands for carbon credits against champagne, beer or carbonated beverage companies. That are among the biggest purchasers of fossil fuel production captured co2.
All together these products annually release as much as 20% of global fossil fuel production produced co2.
We conclude that as the concentration of CO2 in the Earth’s atmosphere continues to
rise there will be no saturation in its absorption of radiation and thus there can be no complacency with regards to its potential to further warm the climate.

Seriously, you need to read the latest science about the severity of the situation. Also, green renewables require vast amounts of fossil fuel for the resource mining, manufacturing and maintenance of the systems that don't have much of a lifespan anyway, especially in a consuming culture where built in obsolescence is standard. Fossil fuels also need to be continually burnt for backup power plants when the sun or wind dips and lithium isn't and infinite resource like everything else. It's like we need to go back to an almost pre industrial revolution way of living voluntarily. Planet of the Humans is worth a watch, apart from a few exaggerations is generally very much on point.
