Great tutorial! Although not saying Malcolm never used hybrid picking, but pretty certain the opening b power chord is just alternate picked, just gotta nail his slightly palm muted tight punchy right hand attack he’s famous for!
I really appreciate these tutorials. I hate the ones that make me feel like a baby. Like I haven't been playing guitar for twelve years. I want to learn songs, not how to hold a pick and strum! I'm glad you assume your viewers aren't six years old. I'm a visual learner, so this really helps. Not that I can't learn from tablature, but constantly pausing and skipping back in a song while reading a tab in another window is annoying. Thanks a lot!
Guitar Pro solves that issue between the song and tabs plus you can isolate/remove tracks individually as well as looping sections... But yeah, even so, videos like this are still great to have, sometimes, especially on the more complex, advanced pieces of music or just to clarify techniques for noobs like me 😂
What pick-ups do You have in Your strat ?............Sounds great as usual !............Reading the comments, I guess some people require using the same guitar as the original ?????? Thanks for posting
Im learning this song dedicated to my ex-wife Deb who was the worlds biggest ACDC fan. This song reminds me of the good times we shared and one of my favorite rock songs ever and a bitch to play and keep in time.
The distortion setting. 2/5 bass, 2.5 mid and 3-3.5/5 treble. I have presence full on my amp. I use a Roland Cube 80x with the rectifier setting. Vid on my channel where I play part of Back In Black. So you can sort of hear that setting.
This is a great vid, watched your first part and helped, I got stuc k on this vid because of B power chord, can anyone help? But you are a great teacher, thank god I found this channel.
Some of us poor bastards are borderline tone deaf 😢 Like I can figure out a basic tune but odds are I'll be a bit high or low... And recognizing chords is just beyond me! 😭
Dude, tutorials like yours are a fantastic resource - but this time you're way off the mark on the first part. Though I really like your interpretation, there's no way on god's earth that Malcolm would have used either your left or right hand techniques as shown here. It's pure, agricultural alternate picking and not slick hybrid. Another thing, and I hate to be a turd about this, but for heaven's sake please consider not using a Strat to demo AC/DC riffs. Man, that's sacrilege! I'm not expecting you to go out and buy a bridge Filtertron and shove it in one of your instruments but you gots to at least use a humbucker! Hope you take this in the right spirit :-)
I have updated this lesson AC/DC - Thunderstruck Guitar Lesson ua-cam.com/video/QnAsxbSAdBM/v-deo.html .. also, I used the only guitar I had at the time
Wow I’m already running across my living room and jumping on the couch like I’m at River Plate Stadium !!! Thanks

Man, when I first wanted to play this song, I had no idea Malcolm's rhythm part would be the trickiest section.
Thanks man this is really helping me so I can learn this for my dads b-day! Thank you and keep on doing great work

rhythm part is harder than the intro
Of course, I can play the intro but i can't even switch chords enough quick (I am a beginner)
Makk practice 3 chords at a time... and mix up different combo...its how i learmed my progression
im a beginner and these chords are easy enough i can’t get the legato in the intro down
Yes bro. I just wanted to say that
It ABSOLUTELY is....it's harder to play CORRECTLY
You are very intelligent sir and your playing is wonderful! I love Malcolm's rhythm part.

Malcolm was the greatest rhythm guitarist
cool
Who plays guitar for twelve years and still can't learn songs from records...
Me, but I only recently switched to electric guitars and only used notes before, never tabs or chords, so I don't know any of them :/
Some of us poor bastards are borderline tone deaf 😢

Csak pengetővel.
