In that first game vs Ceruledge you had Charm + 20 on Kirlia to make it 220 with the scream tail onto the bench Palkia. Which imo is the better play since you coulda just went cc their 2 retreat charcadet and force them to find more
yea its a weird spot with briar and jamming tower, even tho i didnt think there was any way they played a jamming tower. i really wanted to get the energy off scream tail to use drifloon next turn and thought there was no way i lose attacking with the ex. i still forget about briar all the time cause it so rarely comes up in the games i play
and my other charm was prized so i wanted to have a way to use drifloon the next turn. of course i threw and got rid of artazon so it didnt end up mattering anyway
I noticed on the rank ladder I seem to get a lot of rematches since the update. Like straight after a game I will go into the same player again. It's not that I keep track but you notice the deck, sleeves and even yes, the avatar 😂 Am I the only one? It's been like 4 times since the update, every other day that I play
that used to happen to me almost every game i played so now i wait a minute in between starting games. if im testing a deck i keep track of all the matchups so i definitely notice, and i can always look back in the footage. but yea it happens a lot if i play games immediately after each other. sometimes its nice if its a matchup i want to practice but getting the same bad matchup back to back always makes it feel bad lol
o nice, i havent tried that one much, the trolley seemed out of place in gardy. ive been wanting to mess around with a 4 research 4 iono build with secret box or hero cape but havent had the chance to try it much yet

love your videos as a gardy main, how do you feel about varoom as draw engine when Kirlia is deactivated? I have been testing with it and can't get the min/max down and it doesn't seem to win half as much. Hoping we get another good draw engine.
yea we have to see what we have available around rotation but my first thought is just pidgeot with a bunch of vessels. it could run a 1-1 varoom too but i think youd have to play more energy or 4 stretcher or something to get more consistent value from it. its really hard to say right now cause we arent sure how the meta and everything will look when we need to make those changes. and thanks im glad you enjoy them!
@sixpokemanstcg 2-1-2, 2-2, or 1-1 for pidgeot? It's sadly unlikely the trainer set will drop a replacement Kirlia, but if it adds any draw engine for dark that can run off colourless that would probably help better than varoom. I've been looking all through cards just hoping to find something and 4 Professor's Research seems to be the most consistent but can bleed out supports which sucks and makes 2 pal pad considerable.
i did a video a while ago of garde with no kirlia and i built it like a charizard deck and it worked pretty well but i couldnt fit munki. so i just focused on one shots with drifloon. we'll lose rotom and forest too but i think its possible to still be good with just pidgeot and a bunch of vessels and research's. we just have to think about the deck differently cause kirlia is kind of the identity of the deck right now but when its gone we'll have to figure a different way to think about it. unlimited energy acceleration and one shots with a single prozer should always be good tho
@sixpokemanstcg Yeah I was thinking 2 Munki+2Darkness and increasing Psychic from 7 to 8/9. Currently training my friend who plays zard on Gardy so I'm able to effectively test better. Cycling Road+Pidgeot ex and skipping Kirlia is the current test I'm working with. Using just core 4Ralts 2Gardex 1 Drif 1Scream and building around that core. In standard I run 3Arven 2Vessel, with this test I've gone to 4 of each and cut Iono to 2.
i really like that combo. i think im more likely to play it with 8 phsycic. i almost played it at the last cup i played gardy at but figured i would need all the energy in the discard and the lux cape so i didnt end up playing it
@@snootydooty3543 hatterene is a really cool card, it would be kind of like a totally different deck. one of the biggest strengths of gardy the way it is right now is forcing your opponent to ko a bunch of 1 prize pokemon. cause they cant really ignor a drifloon that can do 300 damage cause if they ko gardy ex you can not put another 2 prizer in play and take 4 prizes with the one drifloon. i think putting too many multi prize pokemon in play would let them take 6 prizes a little faster than we would like. i really like mew ex in the deck but dont play it cause it can be such a liability. but it's still worth trying out on the latter or something if you already have the card to see how it works

Just got done watching and you lose to boss + jamming with this so I think you played your odds correctly there. Both plays lose to something though

I actually like the trolley version with call bell the best because it's the fastest but the deck is solid no matter what build you choose.

too easy to trap in the active tbh. you'd have to run rescue board, second turo or a switch to avoid it becoming a liability too easily
