You know what I hope this show brings A reason for younger generations to watch these movies Make them live on forever not just in the parks, but pop culture.
Universal is bringing the first land about monsters into a theme park. These monsters are a century old. They also want to continue keeping the older Spielberg related franchises since they highlighted universal’s successful history.
Yup and if World of Color or Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland take some notes and add drones, it might make both nighttime spectaculars a little better;)
While its hard to criticize Universals best nighttime show that they have ever put together, I still think they need to do a little more to catch up to Disney. Especially in the pyro department. The drones also seem like an add on that takes away from the show at times. Their fountain scenes are spot on. Projection mapping is definitely better than they have ever pulled off in the past. I just don't think during trips I would go out of my way to see it more than once. Where I can go to multiple shows at Disney and see them over and over. This one is good, just not enough to drive it more than once for me.
I prefer the HHN ones, but at least Universal is "getting there" wrt its normal nighttime lagoon show. TBH, I'm not the biggest fan of water projections, as after awhile they give me a headache (this includes Fantasmic), but it seems to be the rage for the past several years. The drones...ehhh, they didn't add all that much other than the last Universal logo. Their biggest issue seems to be their lethargic reconfig times, which is why they have a lot of "dead air". If they could add double the amount while halving their time to reorder themselves, that would have quite an impact. I do find it...odd...that the company showcases IPs like Potter for this "celebration of Universal" when they don't own the IP, but that's been a running joke with their theme parks. Indeed, they seem to be continuing this strange tradition with Epic Universe. I really, REALLY hope we get an HHN show since everything damaged by Hurricane Ian now seems fixed and enhanced.
It’s more of a celebration of the movies that have played a part in the resort’s past, present, and future. That’s why you also see Ghostbusters (Sony IP) and Transformers (Paramount) in there.
Also the videos of the show versus in person is mind blowing. Some vids show the drones to be very anticlimactic. But after seeing the B show (no drones) and full show in person, the drones are much more impressive in person and add a ton. Also they are very colorful and haven’t seen an accurate video representation on here yet. Wish they could do more fireworks but I know they have a lot more restrictions on pyro than Disney does due to being in the city limits of Orlando and their proximity to residences.
They tried so hard not to copy Disney over the last decade and then they decide to copy Disney and then proceed to make the best show they’ve ever made
@@greatone33jthis new show pretty much uses the world of color formula/narrative style verbatim. Universal has been trying hard to avoid it for so long but it honestly resulted in some boring shows that just felt like movie clip montages.
Let’s get a couple of things straight. Firstly, Universal has already been popular. They average 22 million guests visiting the park each year. Secondly, they aren’t copying Disney. It’s a water show. Many theme parks have it, it’s not just a Disney thing. That’s like saying “Universal added a roller coaster so they’re copying Disney”. Hope this cleared some things up for ya ☺️
@ps5forlyfe i think theyre talking about the drone thing, granted i dont think its copying but rather both places deciding to do it in the same year. Its not like you can slap.together one real quick.
Universal needs to release the soundtrack of this show!
I think they finally did it, Universal made a great nighttime show with great pacing, emotion, & a unifying theme.
copying disney even with the intro😂😂
Still not as good as Disneys shows
@@Rtp4k see world of color its better than what this copy and paste shit show this is

This show is awesome!! I'm most likely going to check it out when I come back to the parks soon!
Universal studios the only place on earth where you could see the best show ever! And of course ride the movies!
Can’t wait to see the Mega Movie Parade in 3 weeks
Yeah, Universal is really maturing as park builders. They’ve always been really good, but now everything is becoming Potter quality.
Forest battle theme being featured was the highlight for me🔥🤘
Chills!!!! I can honestly say this was better than any nighttime show Disney has going on.

As of now, they don't, they want to either parody or surpassed them. And I say Universal has done the latter in such a beautiful way
