Just installed my BT and aux cable bundle. I got to say I’m impressed with the quality of the sound. I was expecting some latency delay, but to my surprise there was none. Instructions were very detailed. Only set back was the inability to install the aux input in my dsc area because I have heated seats and the module had a circuit board that wouldn’t allow me to drill a hole. But this was a blessing in disguise because I found a more convenient spot in the dash. Also, very happy it does not interfere with the factory hands off blue tooth cell phone feature. This was on an 04 530i. P.S. Coding the AUX to the idrive took less than 5 minutes. It helps to know coding ;-)
supra driven thank you! Enjoy the aux I’m glad your enjoying the quality. Since this video I’ve gone through a ton of Bluetooth chips to find the best quality volume one. My adapter have since gotten way better from when I made this first one on this video!
I've ordered your newer bluetooth thru your eBay to install in our 2009 e60. -I was a little nervous taking all the covers off but your tutorial was super-helpful, the bluetooth worked and paired to my iPhone 6s with no problems. Thank you guys!
Installed this last weekend in my 2006 BMW 650i. Wiring was exactly the same so that’s great. Works great! The ground wire can be tricky to tap into, so for anyone doing this make sure you wiggle it quite a bit to break through the isolation.
I have a 2004 e60 530i. I had my car coded for an aux and installed using your video. Now I upgraded to Bluetooth adapter and WOW ITS SO MUCH CLEARER. Took me 30 mins. Plug and play. Thanks bro!!!
Excellent product! Very good sound quality and clear instructions. Doesn't interfere with BMW Bluetooth - (both active) and auto cancels music etc... when call comes in, and returns to music after call. Recently coded the BMW Bluetooth as well (per instructions on this channel). Great channel and products!
sry for the bad english i guess (germany) i tried to go for that white cord that you used. It was 5V only. I did remove the Middlepart where the (GearSwitch) is and put the + on the Cigarette thingy and - on the main part where the cable is going to the navi. it was 12v then and it wasn't permanent on! But thanks for the Tutorial!
I received mine yesterday this is going into 2008 528i.. the installation looks easy enough. I will post an update after installation. Mine already has the aux option. So this should make the installation easy no coding needed.
Any ideas as to why the sound is significantly lower when im using the AUX cable as compared to for example the radio / CD? And if so, is there any fix to this?
Nice one man, I've got the 2007 530i and was going to buy the damn ULF module which costs a bomb. This is a much better (Less expensive) option. Only down side is you don't see the art, tag info etc on the iDrive screen but personally it doesn't bother me too much.
Been waiting to order your E60 audio streaming adapter. Still showing SOLD OUT. Are you planning on make more of the product. At least one more for me please. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
just got mine coded and installed works great sounds good and does not interfere with cars phone bluetooth or ipod adaptor thanks for the tutorials. I noticed when I was codeing the mask I saw something about equalizer nitch , if I mount this will I get a equalizer in the menue of the idrive instead of just the tone bass and treble?
Well I did make the eq active it shows up in the I drive but is non adjustable anyway to make the eq slides work? Also my bluetooth aux volume is noticeably lower volume than CD or radio or factory ipod adapter or factory hands free volume is there anyway to make volume for ADP2 louder
I would like to know what version of bluetooth does your solution offer? Chinese offerings are all based on bluetooth 3.0. However, Sure Electronics has a small board that delivers bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X (also on 12v and also at similar price point)... which GREATLY enhances streaming quality. If someone were to sell that as a ready to go solution like you are doing here (i'm not the soldering type), i would choose that over the older bluetooth version.
Received your BT adapter kit a couple days ago. My 08 E60 connector uses only pins 3, 4, 9, and 10. You say use pins 2, 7, 8. I don't have CCC, MASK only. I already have a working armrest AUX so are those different pin numbers on mine? Confused on what pins to use.
_-DaRk³NorSZ-_ try connecting a Bluetooth receiver from amazon to the aux jack via a usb plug. It’ll work but you’ll get a whine. Not saying my adapter is the only ones as many have copied mine but adapter from a usb plug makes alt noise. Mine has a power filter, i have since made my adapter better since this video was filmed.
Roskinc any way to tap into video feed to the display ? I have a spare screen so going to attempt video input on it could do with diagram on pins any ideas ?
Question, do you disconnect battery when tapping into the wires? Also, what is the name of the connectors you used the plastic. Thanks for the great video!
i have a 2007 e60 550i, yet my idrive system doesnt look like that. Is it important to update my idrive before installing this? i was using the rear auxiliary connection ever since i first bought the car and eventually it finally gave in and broke. This bluetooth adaption will help greatly! many thanks, - New subscriber
Karl Enero this video i have a Cic retrofit but you do not need anything upgraded, you can use the standard non navigation or any system the e60 comes with to add this. If you have aux already just add my adapter and your good to go .

I have a question for you. What's the best way to code my stereo so I can have Bluetooth and aux
so I purchased your original aux cable. I have a Bluetooth device hooked up to it but it requires Power from the lighter. I'm guessing this one doesn't require that?

My 08 528i comes standard with aux which is located in the center console box. I bought a Bluetooth adapter and followed your instructions. My phone picks up the signal and connects to it but I have no sound. I put the wires in the back like you showed in the 7,8,2 locations And nothing. What am I doing wrong? Am I suppose to be removing the factory aux and replacing it with the new aux blutooth adaptor? If so where do I tap into?

I bought an OEM aux system from BMW and installed it on the DSC slot from your video. It looks great where it's and and I currently have a separate Bluetooth adapter attached to it. I really like this concept, however I kind of don't want to disconnect the current one, as I cannot cover the hole I drilled into the DSC slot for the aux port. Is it possible to just tap into the aux wires for the Bluetooth unit? That way if I have others in the car they can plug in if they want without having to unpair my phone? And to save the port I already drilled?
hey do you ever plan on getting a aftermarket radio ? i would greatly appreciate it if you could do a video on a radio installation on this type of car
Would it work for bluetooth phone calls as well? That's what I am after. Btw I have an aux at the back (LCI version) and cd changer in the glow box so I don't need to stream music, but looking for a decent bluetooth solution for my phone. If your phone has Bluetooth (which nearly every cell/mobile phone has nowadays), there is no reason why it shouldn't work. Actually it should be able to work with any BT enabled device, i.e., tablets, laptops etc.
I'm very interested in this product even though I always buy phones with a 3.5mm jack in them. Currently my '04 E61 525i has a OEM aux jack retrofitted by myself, which comes with a filter to eliminate any voltage spikes or something of the sort to enter the CIC thus protecting it. I wonder if this product has the same featured or if it doesn't need one because it's wireless? Also is there a volume limiter? Thanks in advance for any answers. :)
about 140k and still running strong! i do all preventative maintenance and Castrol synth oil every 5k miles, use good gas, i often check engine for any leaks, and fix anything that even slightly looks like it might need changing, probably more than necessary but car deserves it!
Have you had any issues with this failing to send out a bluetooth signal? I've had it installed and working for 6+ months now and today all of a sudden my phone isn't getting a signal from the receiver and it doesn't show up when scanning for bluetooth devices. I used it just fine today, went to grab some food at a restaurant, and it wasn't working when I got back in my car. Any ideas besides ripping my whole dash apart?
Hi Roskinc, I just purchased the Bluetooth unit. I already have the AUX input in my car, so the bluetooth unit would be sufficient to allow connecting to my i7? You have a third option for 59.99. What's the difference?
do you need to code the bluetooth option to your idrive? otherwise how do you play music through that? my factory bluetooth is not working so i am thinking get this. thank you.
how do you tap into the power wire to your adapter's wire? do you need to cut it and connect it? thanks! and The link to the adapter is sold out I think, you still have the adapter?
yuehui xie you use tap connectors no need to cut wires. I include them with every purchase. Check my eBay page or my website roskinc.com i have them in stock the link on my description needs be updated
if you get a phone call, your factory Bluetooth will over take the audio Bluetooth, so it DOES NOT INTERFERE with your factory Bluetooth for hands free, strictly just audio. when you end call, audio will resume
@@roskinc and do you know which pins they are? because mine bluetooth adapter wont switch off.. it has a small consuption, but I am afraid that it will at some point drain the battery.. I used it just fine today, went to grab some food at a restaurant, and it wasn't working when I got back in my car. Any ideas besides ripping my whole dash apart?
Mine is doing the same thing, was working fine then it does not show up on any of my family’s iPhones… he really needs to respond to us…
Hi Roskinc, I just purchased the Bluetooth unit. I already have the AUX input in my car, so the bluetooth unit would be sufficient to allow connecting to my i7? You have a third option for 59.99. What's the difference?
Perunding Primareka i am asking the same thing but nobody answers
do you need to code the bluetooth option to your idrive? otherwise how do you play music through that? my factory bluetooth is not working so i am thinking get this. thank you.
yuehui xie you just need aux, this doesn’t have anything to do with factory Bluetooth. So this is like replacing the aux cable.
so the only thing i need is code the aux to idrive? but what if i want to use aux to play music?
yuehui xie yes but keep in mind that this does not do hands free calling. Only audio Bluetooth.
how do you tap into the power wire to your adapter's wire? do you need to cut it and connect it? thanks! and The link to the adapter is sold out I think, you still have the adapter?
yuehui xie you use tap connectors no need to cut wires. I include them with every purchase. Check my eBay page or my website roskinc.com i have them in stock the link on my description needs be updated
You've connected 2,7 and 8?
yes my cables are red-7 black-8 and white- 2
How to enable or program Aux-bluetooth on 06 530i
so what is the quality of the audio coming out via this? Is there a way to stream music if I already have Bluetooth from factory for calls?
how is the sound quility whit blue tooth? i hear that aux is better than bluetooh?
to be honest i dont notice any difference, i dont even have my aux plugged and im happy with the quality.
Hey Roskinc, how is the reset button coming along? for cars that don't have AUX power like E65/E66
Did you code for this too
Would the Bluetooth phone prep still work? As I have this on my M5. Would order one if it does and would you ship to the uk?
if you get a phone call, your factory Bluetooth will over take the audio Bluetooth, so it DOES NOT INTERFERE with your factory Bluetooth for hands free, strictly just audio. when you end call, audio will resume
Quick question, i installed my bluetooth adapter, and its getting power, but my phone wont find it, Can other wirless signals disturb it ?
What are the connectors he is using????? I've been searching and dont know what they are
i dont see the part on ebay
I hope I understood it correctly. You are getting power from the ccc source, which never switches of, right? Pins 12 and 16?
no, they power off when the vehicle goes to sleep mode. your taping into a ignition power wire not straight to battery wire.
@@roskinc and do you know which pins they are? because mine bluetooth adapter wont switch off.. it has a small consuption, but I am afraid that it will at some point drain the battery.. I guess it should be pins 12 for ground and 13 for "radio on"? Right? I made it wrongly to the pins 12 (ground) and 15 (power 12V 20A)..
Jan Pokorny I’m guessing you didn’t purchase one of mine? Because I included detailed instructions where to install
@@roskinc no I haven't, but I found your videos while searching for the answer which pins to use. I understand that I cannot expect any hrlp, since I am not your customer. Yet I would really appreciate your advice.
How do you code your BMW for this?
okay just brought one from you and received it yesterday, I already have my car programed for the bmw ipod adaptor and have working factory blueetooth, does this mean that I am already aux programedand will this interfere with my current bluetooth no aux shows up but I use a cd input for my mp3 device
Will there be a Bluetooth option if I code it?
How much do you sell the Bluetooth adapter for and where can I buy it
