This cleaner is based on the 1982 Canadian E-Special - really only the motor and colors have changed.

Yup, it does have a different upper and lower body, motor and motor housing. It can trace its lineage to the Canadian Lux AP series canisters from the mid 70s. In fact all genuine lux hoses for this style machine will have E-AP stamped on them, which is a remnant of the old Canadian AP tooling. They're excellent machines

@@RVALuxVacuums My Lux Classic is the same as the E-Special but much different than the AP Series in styling. All Electroluxes are essentially the same as far as the basics.
